This is a very nice CS with good access, a security gate as mentioned and is reasonably level, we just needed to have the front corner steadies higher than the back and were fine, chocks not needed. As said, there are recycling bins, but the paper bin became full to overflowing. There is an extra large bin for glass which is a good idea. The loos looked ok and always had paper. There is enough room for showers to be installed I would have thought.

The gate to the site is set back from the road, look out for the cream coloured bungalow 'Broadlawns', the turn is just before this. If you don't have the gate code, the mobile nos. Of the owners are on a sign next to it.

There are nice walks, one just down the road to the left follows a small stream. The one on the far side of the river at the bottom of the site can be found along the main road, turn left by the pub and it's past the bus shelter, follow the river, then go under the A12 and you come to a lovely hilly/heathy area with good views and many rabbits.

It's a nice part of the country, and easy access to the coast and several towns. Felixstowe beach is quite nice for an English seaside town.

Would recommend this site, £10 per night with ehu, or £8.50 without we thought very good. Satellite tv is easy to find.

Stayed here with friends for 5 nights. Toilets clean but ran out of paper quite a lot. Recycle bins which was good. Grass kept short and site nice and tidy.

Little noise from A12 and railway which is near but didn't disturbed us. Had one meal at Red Lion which was nice and the fish from the fish and chip shop was fresh though chips not so good.

Great place for visiting Felixstow, Southwold, Adleburgh, Woodbridge and Ipswich which has some good shops though market not very big. Found Thorpeness last time we were in the area which is a haven. Boating lake with swans and ducks, cafe and walks around. Look out for the house on top of the water tower.

TV reception was rubbish but if you lay the aerial in the middle of the field it works lol.

Dans meadow is a nice quiet site the owner is very helpful and friendly. You need a code for the gate to gain access which is brilliant for security

There was a rally on when we were there for the caravan club and as we are members of them, we were asked to join in the get together at the nice big hall on site

Dogs are allowed, it's a grassy site with toilets, drinking water and an elsan point. The main A12 is close by and when the wind is right you can hear it but its not too obtrusive.

The chippy is very close, we rode our bikes to Tesco which is only 1 mile away passing the pub called the Red Lion, quite steep hill which the owner said he had ridden but had to get off to walk, but our electric bikes made it without getting off, with the dog in the front basket! Nice site, would use again

Just had 10 days at this site, owner is very helpful and a great place to tour the area. Tom Tom took us to the gate which is set back from the road & very easy to pass.

There's a big Tesco's close by & the Red Lion Pub & Fish & Chip shop. Site is grass & there are only toilets but these are kept clean with hot water. Electric hook up for 5 vans & a large field for rallys. Enjoyed our stay & would visit again.

Just back from this great little Certificated site, If you are not a member of The Camping & Caravanning Club you can join there, like many Certificated sites it only takes 5 units so only the basic facilities, toilet, chemical toilet, waste point, fresh water, dogs are allowed. The site is grassy with some shelter, all sites have electric hook up. The site has a locked gate which is very good security you will be given the code to gain access. At the top of the road is The Red Lion Pub and further along a fish and chip shop which is great if your not into cooking. There is a nice walk to Woodbridge along side Martlesham Creek and up the River Deben, its about 3 miles and you can gain access from School Lane which is opposite The Red Lion.

Great site if you like peace and quite, very friendly owner, I recommend a visit I will go again. Happy Camping.
