We are a family of two adults and three children under ten who spent two weeks at this site in July 2010.
After looking at three other sites around this area we chose this one.
The facilities on this site were excellent. We needed nothing else other than to make our local supermarket journeys each day.
The kids loved the pool, bouncy castle, park, large area to play ball games on certain parts of the site and we loved the value for money, friendliness of staff and campers, cleanliness and general relaxed atmosphere.
Tim the English owner with his French wife was more than welcoming.
We really can't fault the site and are planning our two week break back there again in 2011.

We decided to try this site based on the previous good reviews and weren't disappointed. We had the choice of most of the site as it wasn't busy, so we chose a very nice pitch near the pool, a toilet block and the bar. The owners Tim and his wife were both friendly and helpful and the site itself had everything you could need and as Tim was english there was no problem with any language barrier.
We went for 6amp hookup as well but 10amp was available as well. The pool was brilliant at the end of a hot day and the toddler pool really suited my 3 year old daughter. There was also a jucuzzi for 1.5 euro as well. During the first week a bouncy castle appeared as well which my daughter thought was hers alone, but I was told it was to be there all summer which was an extra nice touch. Toilets and showers were always clean with plenty of hot water. There is also a small shop on site for essentials, a bread ordering system for morning deliveries and a nice small bar. The site itself has WIFI as well and can be accessed with purchase of a card for about 3 euro.
The closest beach to the site was about a 15 minute walk down a lane and through some woods to a really nice enclosed beach which is shown on the website. When the tide goes out it reminded me of Southport with the distance that it went out! There are also good beaches easily accessible either way from here. There are 3 supermarkets within easy reach of the site the closest being about 2 minutes drive in St Quay Portrieux, the next closest about 5 min away in Binic.
The area itself is lovely with some really nice small towns and villages worth visiting. Etables itself has a couple of good restaurants, bars, bread shops and butchers. It also has a nice small park. There is a nice walk from the campsite to a viaduct lost in the woods just behind the site which was a nice amble one day.
The granite coast is easily reached in an hour, and ile de Brehat and Cape Frehel with the imposing Forte Latte all within easy reach.
On the whole then this is a very good, well kept, reasonably priced, pleasant site to spend a couple of weeks on and we will be back.

A clean tidy well maintained site presently split by a very quiet small road. We've visited 3 times and are very impressed by the cleanliness, tidiness and friendship shown by the owners and staff. We've always stayed on the side that does not house the reception, bar, shop, pools. The site roads on 'our' side are mainly hard soil with tarmac leading the toilet, shower, washroom facilities on 'our' side. The site is gently sloping but most pitches are terraced flat and have no problems in accommodating caravan, awning and car. Access to reception or the field may be a little awkward, its best to park on the road and walk to reception when booking in. The EHU is either 10 or 6 AMP there has been no reverse polarity on the pitches I have used. Most pitches are fully serviced with drinking water and drains. The site entrance is locked at 11:00, there is some night illumination around the toilet blocks and drinking water standpipes scattered round the site. The entrance to the shop is through reception, provisions are basic but adequate. The bar area is reasonable, not large, not too small. There are some entertainment nights with the bar having both indoor seating and some outdoor seating, the outdoor seating is mixed predominantly shady with a few sunny areas. The area is well served by supermarkets within a couple of miles, fuel is available at the supermarkets and the price is far cheaper that the Aires. Etables sur Mer is a small town, very pretty, the main road through town leading to the camp site runs through the centre and there are traffic calming measures in place, there are excellent facilities in town, 2 very good restaurants, an excellent butchers shop, patisserie, boulangerie and a couple of grocers. There is a small market held in the town held a couple of days per week although the market is quite small and has limited goods it does add to the flavour and character of the place. There is plenty of free parking in the town. The site does have a bread ordering system and there are takeaway snacks available in the evening. The beach is a 10 minute stroll downhill, quite steep but there are a couple of cafe/bars when you get there to prepare you for the walk back. The site is an excellent venue to either stay on site or tour from. There is usually a variety of nationalities on site, the owners Tim and Pierrette are English/French and there are no language difficulties for non French speakers.
The owners are presently installing some mobile homes and we were told that some changes to the site are planned as the owners have recently acquired the neighbouring site and plan to upgrade it to the standards that their site enjoys.

Just had our second holiday at a lovely campsite in brittany called Camping L' Abri Cotier in a town called Etables sur mer, The site is in the grounds of an old chateaux. The site is owned by an Englishman called Tim Lee and his French wife Pirret.
The site has an outdoor heated swimming pool, a nice little bar with pool table and darts board and table tennis outside, the site also has internet access at 8 euros an hour, it has nice clean toilets and showers and a washing machine and dryer, the pitches are a nice size amongst trees and hedges some of which are fully serviced pitches.
Bread is also delivered fresh to the site every morning, or there is a nice little bakers in the town.
The beach is only two minutes drive or about ten minutes walk.

Clean tidy site in two parts, both of which contain statics so a mixture of pitch types. The pool area looked lovely but it was a bit early in the year to try it out! We did try out the bar though which had very good draught guinness and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. The toilets/showers are quite old but servicable. The surroundings are beautiful with a pleasant but steep in places forest walk down to the beach. The beach is set in a lovely cove with restaurant and bar nearby. From there you can walk right along the coast and the scenery is stunning. The village has a bakery, shops, restaurants etc and is very picturesqe.
The entrance to the site could be a bit of a tight squeeze for larger outfits as there is a tight turn into the narrowish gateway. The owners lock the gates at 11 at night. Part of the site is in a walled garden belonging to a chateau (long gone I think) and we were offered a variety of pitches to choose from in there, which was very sheltered and sunny, with some planted trees/shrubs for shade. The pitches were rather tight however even for our small outfit; more suited to tents really. We mistakenly took up two pitches not realising as they were not delineated. Luckily the site wasn't too busy and we were able to leave our car where it was - we wouldn't have had room to park it on the pitch with the caravan. The second larger area of the site is across a small road and it looked like there was more room there; however it wasn't offered and looked like it hadn't opened up yet. The walled garden area was very pretty though, quiet and peaceful with lots of birds singing - sometimes very early!
Apart from the small pitches we liked this site. It had a relaxed atmosphere, friendly owners and proximity to beach and town.
