Although this site was spotless I feel I ought to point out the pool was very small and constantly packed out. The site is 95% Dutch and I felt we were tolerated rather than welcomed. Most of the literature for events, things to do etc was in Dutch and the kids felt a little left out. Also we booked online and thought we had booked for 2 adults and 2 children. However, half way through the week the manager informed us we had not declared the 2 adults - why a flag didn't go up if the booking showed only 2 children is beyond comprehension. The paperwork I had showed 2 Adults and 2 Children but to no avail. We subsequently had to pay an extra 80 euros. Double, triple check your booking! The surrounding area is beautiful and I will return. However I will give this site a very wide berth.

I'm a bit reluctant to review this site as I think that it is a hidden gem, still unspoilt by the British tourist with his barbequed breakfast, John Smiths beer and Satelite TV.
Typical I believe of the Dutch RCN sites, this is totally geared towards family and family life.
The pitches are enormous, all with a tap and electric hook up and room for caravan / tent, awning, second tent and a car or two. (Our Outwell Nebraska XL with extension looked small in our pitch).
There are several toilet / shower / washing up blocks around the site and these can obviously get busy, but were good and always clean.
It is set in it's own spacious area about 5 mins (max) from the nearest SuperU supermarket and 10 mins from the fabulous 'Les Dunes' beach.
The pool area is adequate and was never too busy. The entertainment program for children was good but not overwhelming and generally kept my 8 and 12 year olds happy.
The shop was typical of these sites offering all the basics and the bar area was pleasant but limited as they tend to focus on the camping, not the drinking.
We had a great holiday here, although it was predominantly dutch campers here (95%), the staff spoke good English and we never felt isolated.
We would recommend this site for families who enjoy family life and want a relaxing family holiday. If you want to bring your sky dish on holiday with you, then find another site as you will spoil this one.
Would we recommend? - oh yes.
Would be return? - that is our intention.
