On trying to book the site opposite (Greenacres) we tried Bridge End across the road,( knew about this place for years never ventured on there), so we could use Greenacres pub for meals etc
Not the best site I've been to, but did the job, toilet block was revamped about 2 years ago, 2 showers 2 toilets. Grass and hard standing pitches which were tight but cosy and quiet for Ingoldmells. Well sheltered on perimeter as it lashed it down for about 3 days with high winds that week! I would go here again
My main gripe was they expect you to empty your waste water down the elsan, which is very difficult to lift about 40 litres of water 2/3 foot high in to the elsan rather than the water drain! Did it once then it went down the water drain!

To be said a good site, well maintained and friendly, good warm showers(that are free)
A cutlery cleaning area with VERY warm water just what you want, blocks supplied for disposable bbq`s so as not to burn the grass.
Only complaint is the toilet block was not totally up to scratch and would bhave only taken 10 min a day to put right. There was a mirror in both ladies and mens but they weren't cleaned, no freshener blocks in the mens urinals, and hand dryers had many traces of splats on them and by them that had not been wiped away. That said they were always warm, so must have been heated and anything on the floor was gone the next day so I do believe they were mopped out everyday.
The rest of the site was perfectly fine. Fantasy island a 10 min walk away with shops for milk bread etc.
Pub directly across the road that did food (don't know what the food was like there as we cooked our own) Shop with some essentials but was surprised they did not have bread (but did send 10 year old kids to check, so check yourself!) Plus pub had small play area for kids
Some good pubs with family entertainment 10 min walk up road at night
All in all a good site and would definitely return, just think there could be a little bit more done with the toilet blocks
