What a gem of a site, fantastic owners, family run, spotless with hedges separating the pitches.
Great value for money, compared with some of the other sites we have stayed at.
Such a family feel about it, very child friendly for bikes and go karts for all ages.
Its about 15 mins from Rosslare Harbour, down a lane, at the end of the lane is St Margarets Beach, stunning spot ideal for Children.
St Margarets Campsite has a mixture of hardstands, tent pitches with or without EHU and Static's which have been beautifully kept buy the owners of them.
The grounds were stunning, every where you looked were flowers.
The campers kitchen was as you would expect, with a eating area and a flat screen TV, the showers were clean though slightly dated, however that should'nt put anyone off staying at this beautiful site in Wexford.
Also there was a area for Motorhomes/caravan to refill and empty.
I cant wait to return to this magic spot.

An easy 15mins drive from the ferry port this is an ideal first night stop as the ferries do not get in from either Pembroke or Fishguard until after 6. 00pm
The owner is well used to a convoy of caravans turning up at 7. 00pm. At 20 euros a night inc electric, it is not a bad price for Ireland. You are told to select your own pitch, however everything is a bit skinny. The hard standings are just sufficient to park your caravan or motorhome with a patch of grass alongside to sit out on.
The washrooms/showers are adequate, indeed they have been tidied up considerably since our last visit 4 years ago, but the building is still quite cold. They have added a camper’s kitchen which appears to be well-equipped, and also a dining/seating area with a TV. There is also a fairly well-stocked shop for all the essentials you might need, but the nearest supermarket or petrol station is in Rosslare itself.
It is a 10minute stroll down the lane to the beach and then you can walk for miles in either direction if you wish.
We would recommend this site for short stops, but probably would not choose it for any longer stay.

I stayed here for 2 nights while touring Southern Ireland with a group of other motorhomers. The site is situated down a lane and is well laid out with hedges seperating areas.
The facilities were good and always clean. Complimentary bikes were available. I used one to visit a local Hurling game a couple of miles away.
The owners lived on site and were very helpful and welcoming.
The beach was a few minutes down the lane past a ruined abbey and excellent for dog walks.
We went to a local pub (The Lobster Pot) and had a very tasty seafood meal.

This site was one of our better finds and we have camped here twice now. It's a little further away from civilization but it is the better for it.
The owners are lovely people, who go above and beyond to make you feel at home.
The facilities are terrific for campers with a proper campers' kitchen with cookers, toaster, microwave and fridges, and a nice undercover eating area. There is a laundry and clothes line - which many campsites do not have.
All in all, an extremely well priced campsite with good facilities and lovely owners

We stayed here following a long journey/ferry trip, ideally located for the port. A short walk to the beach which being out of season was quiet.
The campsite was a surprise, with microwave, freezer facilities & dining area for campers.
The facilities were reasonable clean, a little older than our normal camping/caravan serviced pitch stopovers.
Friendly, helpful, giving us a guide to the area. They took dogs.
My only thoughts on the area in general, not the campsite, is that the local main town Waterford, was not that camper van/motorhome friendly with limited 2hour parking on street, only after a quick walk did it uncover one busy non height restricted carpark, if your under 2 metres then you will be ok! In fact we found this in a number of places
I also found that places even with beer gardens did not allow dogs, so unless you want to 'eat home' you may find it limiting unless you want to leave you dog in the van, eg
However back to the campsite, it opened our eyes to this ' campers' camping experience with these seating areas & facilities.
Would have stayed there again for the trip home but decided to take the ferry earlier.

We stayed on this site on our return journey to ferry. Lovely site with close proximity to lovely beach. Very friendly owners who allowed us later departure on day two at no extra charge. Would definitely recommend this site for more than overnight stay. Pitches smallish if you have caravan, awning and car but not a problem. Only negative (although it is a small negative) is the single lane road when approaching.

This site is very convenient for the ferry- about 15-20 minutes drive away.
The staff are very helpful and the pitches are well laid out.
On the down side- the toilets were not pristine- lots of cobwebs, not regularly cleaned and altogether a little down at heel.
There are lots of statics on the site.
There's a pretty beach about 15 minutes walk away. Food/ drinks etc are all a short drive away in country pubs or the one horse town of Rosslare.
As I said, very handy for the ferry and very busy as a result.

We overnight here each year as its only 10 mins to Rosslare ferry but it merits a longer stay. The site is down a quiet,if narrow, road off the main Rosslare road. There are a couple of nasty bends you need to take very slowly in case you meet any oncoming traffic and have to back up.
The site is well laid out in tarmac roads and concrete pitches with grass between. Some in open cul-de-sac layout, some hedged. Most pitches are large enough for putting up an awning but a couple are not. On arrival you choose your own pitch except when the site is busy and then the owners escort and help new arrivals manoeuvre into position.
The showers are good, hot, clean. Just one facilities block but the site is not large. The beautiful beach is a 5-10 min walk on down the road, its flat going but you can drive and park at the end, and you can also do a round-robin walk if you're feeling energetic which takes you along the beach past the shrine of Our Lady and back to the site by road, about an hour.
We've eaten very good chinese food in the hotel near the ferry port and lovely steak and seafood in a nearby pub / restaurant I can't remember the name of (the owners will tell you - but be sure to book, its very popular). There is a Supervalue just before the ferry terminal which has a good supermarket selection and also has a hot food / deli counter and off licence. There are other restaurants in Rosslare but we haven't tried them.
The owners are very friendly and relaxed and the site is very quiet. Even on a bank holiday weekend when the site was full with loads of kids and barbecues going on it was peace and quiet once the sun went down.

Ideal for ferry travellers.
Toilet block is good and free.
Wi fi connection at 4Euros for 24 hours. Very good value if you're staying a day or two.
Very friendly reception. We'd run out of milk and there's was none in the shop so the owner gave my husband a bottle of milk from her own fridge.

We turned up at St Margret’s impromptu and were pleasantly surprised. The welcome was warm and the information given was spot on. The site was very well laid out and spotless. There are some static’s here but there are also a number of touring and camping pitches some separated by individual hedges giving some privacy if you want it. The toilet block is top notch and the showers are free (which is a novelty in Ireland really)! Reception also sells a good selection of groceries as the nearest shop is in Lady’s Island which is 30 mins walk. There are some good eateries around, some close by. Turn right out of the site and within 10 mins walk you are on the beach. All in all a great site and a good find in our opinion.
