Stayed here on numerous occasions. the people that run this campsite are very friendly and helpful. its great for the kids, there is a fishing lake if you like to fish, take away, pub and shops all in walking distance, would recommend to anyone, and have done so many times, the only down fall to some would be there is no toilet or shower block but most caravans have these in them, so never been a problem for us.

Really quiet site, would recommend it if you are looking for a nice and quiet holiday. Even our 2 children enjoyed it and made new friends whilst they were there.
The owner is very friendly and helpful. It is very secure and kept really clean.
Only 15 minutes away from Mablethorpe, and has nice walks around the campsite.
Really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to going back again in the near future.

Been to the site quite a few times. The site is well looked after and the owners are very friendly.
The fishing lake is nearly finished. They ensure the grass is kept short.
Lovely walks down by the canal into the marina. The waterfront Inn is quite pricey but if you walk a little way down the road there is a micro brewery which is cheaper.
In the village there is a great chinese and fish and chip shop.
The Red Hart Pub is very welcoming and have themed nights.
In Haxey there is a cheap carvery pub.
Going to book for summer 2009

What a lovely friendly site this is. Despite the fact it has been a wet start to the year the site was well drained and no mud or puddles were visible. We were made welcome from arriving to leaving and the price is very reasonable.
There are no toilet or shower facilities but that was not a problem to us. The pitches look roomy and there are plenty of EHU. The CDP and combined water point is basic but perfectly functional. The field is very gently sloping which drains well, we did not need anything extra to level the van. There is a large ball field and a small play area. There is fishing on site but that was being worked on when we were there so cannot comment on how good that is. Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead. There was a rally on the site when we were there but no noise was noticed.
We only live 10 miles away so we know the area well. There is a Chippy, across the road is a kebab/ pizza shop (highly recommended) a Co Op supermarket and a couple of pubs in Misterton centre, 2 minutes drive or a pleasant 10 minute walk. There is a canal about half a mile away with pleasant walking.
All in all highly recommended and we will use again on a regular basis. I have taken some pictures of the site, if you click on 'MY Pictures' at the bottom of my posts you can view them. Any further info just give me a shout.

A fantastic Camping and caravan site which is situated close to the village of Misterton close to both Doncaster and Scunthorpe. The site has very well kept short grass, a large play area /ball field and small adventure playground with zip wire. The site has 40 electric hook ups, all well situated around the spacious camping field. The owners are brilliant and very helpful, in fact the very 1st time we pitched our tent at the site we had flash floods around the area, however Phil the owner came out to us straight away with a mop and brush to help us clear up and generally nothing was too much trouble for him. The only slight downside to the site is the lack of toilets, however we turned that into a positive by simply buying our own porta loo. The site represents brilliant value for money at £6 without hook up and an extra £2 for hook up per unit. Please try this wonderful site as you will love it.
