Had booked here for 9 nights but didn't want to leave at the end. When we arrived we were told to pick a pitch and then let them know in the office where we were, a bit odd, but we got a great spacious pitch in the wifi area although the wifi is quite expensive compared to some other sites.
Weather was a bit hit and miss but when the sun shone it was warm and it didn't spoil our stay. We found the grass pitches to be very well draining (we had quite a bit of rain at times). The facilities I found to be basic but clean, the shop & bar were closed as it it was late in the season, although you could order fresh bread for the next day.
The reception staff speak excellent English and are helpful. As said previously there is a very good bus service into Amiens right outside the gates.
The site is about 3 miles from Amiens which means there is not too much in walking distance although it is a very attractive town with lots of bars and cafes although the prices were a bit steep, we only had lunch out once we packed up or ate in the 'van.
We also visited Paris one day, which is about 75 minutes away by train, we had pre-booked our train tickets before we left home and cannot fault the French train service, efficient, clean, on time and very comfortable, as was the bus service in Amiens.
We also drove to Honfleur (which was a bit of a trek but well worth it) and into Abbeville another very attractive French town. All in all I would not hesitate to use this site again or recommend as a great base for visiting lots of interesting places and villages on the river Somme or even as a stopover as lots of people seemed to.

Excellent site facilities. We used a mobile home ourselves which was very clean and user friendly. The only thing to mention is that they have a very strict cleaning policy. We were fine ourselves as we left the place very clean and tidy but they did check under the beds, in the wardrobes etc for any dirt etc. If you stay in a mobile home they provide an inventory list which you should take the time to complete properly as they count knives, forks etc when you leave.
Lovely, quiet and peaceful with a nice cycle to Amiens which we did not really like but the villages along the cycle path are very pretty and quiet.

We arrived at 15. 00 paid e20. 70! And were told the Carrefour was 5 mins away but was more like 20 in the car. We were told a gate key was another e20 deposit we did not bother as no one would be in the office till 8. 30 and we had to leave early for the ferry. We were told we could get back into the site until 21. 30 after that the barrier would be locked. We got back at 19. 30 and it was locked and we could not get back to our caravan! Luckily I had a 4x4 so I found a route off road to get in. Will not go back there is absolutely, nothing nearby.

This site is very convenient for a visit to Amiens. A bus stop outside and 1. 20 Euros each way. If you enjoy cycling like us it's an easy 3 miles on cycle path next to the river, so flat to boot. The site staff are friendly and helpful. Facilities are very good although while we were there they were having problems so 1 of the 3 was closed at any time. We didn't suffer from queues as a result just a longer walk. The weather was sunny but interspersed with heavy downpours. A good idea is to keep you driving wheels on the roadway as all pitches are grass, in fact the site recommends you do this when wet. All in all it's worth a visit.

Site very well situated for A16. We stayed here for 2 nights en-route back to UK. We were able to select our own pitch, but the choice was small, pitches were small and would not accommodate our awning. All toilet blocks were open but reduced facilities. Staff speak good English, but we were not told much about the area, not even a site plan. Bread orders were taken at reception for the following day and paid for when collected. The play areas were not maintained with mole hills abundant. All grass needed cutting, bins needed emptying. We did like the fact that there was a nice walk along the canal which was just up the road from the site, where you could get a great view of the Cathedral in Amiens. We were pleased we only had 2 nights as we would have been really depressed if we had spent more time there. Barrier key to enter the site is needed at a cost of 20 Euros refundable deposit.

Turned up without a booking and wasn't disappointed. No problem at reception as staff speak fluent English. Initially booked for 4 nights (stayed 5) and were invited to select a pitch which suited us. Opted for one by the lake with appropriate shade from a well positioned tree. Electric points nearby although some of the later arrivals required quite lengthy leads to achieve hook-up! Good shower, toilet, washing-up facilities and plenty of them. Wi-fi available from reception only downside is you have to pay for it.
There is an Aire in the parking area for those not wishing to pay to camp, although I believe there is a charge to use the Aire facilities.
Bus service right outside the campsite gives access to Amiens which is worth the trip if only just to see the cathedral. Costs Euro 1. 20 each way although multi-trip tickets are available from reception which do work out cheaper.
Some lovely canal walks and bike rides nearby and also an Intermarche supermarket within about 5 minutes drive.
Bread available from reception each morning.
Dog friendly, we were accompanied by our little Jack Russell who thoroughly enjoyed chasing the rabbits each morning.
Very friendly campsite. No hesitation in recommending this site.

Well organised site with good facilities.
This is what I wrote in our log 'Large grass pitches, clean facilities, locked gates at night. Free showers and dish wash. Internet access extra 3 euro one hour. Digital TV reception good, but all French. Lots of Brits and a few Dutch. 50. 8 Euros for two nights including electric at 4. 5 Euro per night. '
Excellent base for cycling into nearby Amiens and surrounding area. The older parts of the city by the canal are really attractive and very photogenic.
We drove to Albert and cycled from there to the WW1 cemeteries at Theipval and elsewhere. The minor roads are safe for cycling and it not too hilly.

We stayed on this site for 7 nights in May and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Upon arrival the Manager was most helpful giving us information about the site, byke routes, walks and information about Amiens.
We had booked the site the week before and he allocated us a fantastic pitch, we had loads of room and it was very private. The site is nicely laid out it looks very natural.
We cycled into Amiens along the canal which is just a few yards from the site entrance and Amiens is very cylce friendly. We also used the bus into Amiens as the bus stop is just outside the site, very handy.
We visited the WW1 Museum at Albert it was very good. We took a high speed train into Paris for a lovely day out it cost £35 each and only took an hour to get into the centre of Paris.
As far as the toilet bocks were concerned they were very clean cannot comment on showers as we use our own facilities but they looked fine to me.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar was only open on one night whilst we were there but we didn't go in, it looked very nice.
We would definitely go back to this site and Amiens as there is lots to see and do.

Visited this site recently it is good for visiting city with a good regular bus service. Site shop is only open for a couple of hours in the morning and was not well stocked although bread could be ordered at reception. When we were there a strange acrid smell was in the air we think it came from the factory down the road.
There is two main shower blocks on site but there were queues in the morning for the showers and the gents loos only had two wcs in them and in both blocks one was out of order so there were queues for them as well and they were not the cleanest I have seen although there were also loos and showers in the reception area which were fine. The pitches were large and on grass but some of the hook ups need a long cable and there was plenty of water taps around the site. Wifi was available at 3 euros for 2 hrs. All in all a nice enough site but they need to sort out the gents loos. There were two child play areas but they were very limited in what they had.

To find site:- Exit A16 at junction 20 onto N1 Rocade towards Amiens and immediately exit at junction 40 and follow signs for Amiens Longpre and then follow signs to campsite.
Camping Parc des Cygnes is a relatively new Municipal campsite on the outskirts of Amiens and is part of a larger leisure complex in a semi urban surroundings. There are 145 pitches, most of which are for touring units, there are also a few mobile homes. Pitches are set out in groups of about a dozen with quite large hardstanding areas that the pitches face onto. As all pitches are on grass it is feasible to make use of these hard standing areas at the end of the season, when the site is quieter, for parking units on. In fact the campsite ask customers with motorhomes to park one set of wheels on the hardstandings in wet weather. Pitch size varies but they are mainly quite reasonable. At the furthest end of the site, beyond the final toilet block, the pitches don't have electric points. Electric points according to the ACSI book are rated at 16 amps but the fuses on the bollards are only rated at 10 amps. Connectors are CEE17. There are water points at the entrance to each pitching area. The site has three toilet blocks, one in the reception building and two further stand alone units. They are of modern design and have seated toilets with paper provided. Reception has a lot of tourist information available and they also sell tickets for the bus into Amiens. Bread can be ordered on a daily basis. Also within the reception building is a Bar that sells snacks, a small shop and TV room. There is an internet terminal for use by campers but this was unfortunately broken during our stay. Speaking to the site manager he is hoping to have a more robust WiFi system in place for next year There is limited play equipment for younger children including crazy golf. Older children could make use of the sports/recreation area across the road from the campsite. Parc des Cygnes is open until mid October and again for a month immediately before Christmas to allow visits to the Amiens Christmas Market. During the low season the ACSI Card is accepted.
As well as being a useful late season stop over campsite Parc des Cygnes is also a good base to visit the Somme battlefields. The Edwin Lutyens designed Thiepval Somme Memorial is about 25 miles from the site and is free to visit. Amiens is easy to visit from the site by public transport with bus stops right outside the gates, tickets available from reception. There are a couple of large supermarkets within a few miles of the campsite.
