We spent the half term week at this site. It is quite small but has all the usual CC facilities, which were spotlessly clean when ever we used them. The wardens were very friendly and helpful, they ran a quiz and bingo event and an art competition while we were there which the children really enjoyed.
Most of the pitches are level apart from in one area, but the wardens were able to supply bricks to help with leveling when necessary.
The play area was quite small but still managed to accommodate a large number of children of all ages. There are some pitches right next to the play area, useful if you want to keep an eye on the kids but not if you want peace and quiet.
Slapton sands is within walking distance of the site, it is shingle, as is Blackpool sands further up the coast. If you want a sandy beach you can go to Mill bay (across from Salcombe and about 20 minutes by car from the site) but get there early as the National Trust car park fills up quickly. The lane to the car park is also quite challenging - very narrow and busy, not a good combination.
There are a number of pubs serving food within walking distance of the site. We had an excellent meal from the Church House Inn in Stokenham and also had a good take away from the Torcross Boat House.
The directions to the site warn that the road narrows after Kingsbridge and they are correct. It is narrow and hilly with a lot of bends so you just have to take great care and hope that you do not meet the bus comping the other way at an inconvenient point.
Overall we had a good holiday, my only reservations about returning to this site are the lack of easily accessible sandy beaches and the challenging road from Kingsbridge.

A great little site from the Caravan Club. Beautifully looked after with the usual standard of cleanliness and friendly wardens. We had a pitch that was next to the road but the traffic noise was fairly minimal, and there is a bus stop right outside to get you to Kingsbridge (lovely town) or Dartmouth. There is a good children's playground and a dog walk on site and just a ten minute stroll down the road brings you to Slapton sands and the coastal footpath,The BEST fish and chips you will find for miles and a nice pub.
Also, ten minutes walk in the other direction brings you to Stokenham with two more good pubs serving food.
