Gem of a site and perfectly situated off the motorway for an over night stop.
Very friendly and efficient service on reception, also selling basic food items, bread ordering service etc.
We thought this site delightful; especially the pitches situated on the river.
The toilets, showers and washing up facilities were immaculate at all times whilst we were there.
We found the pizza van that visits very convenient and saved us having to drive out for food.
We can highly recommend this site and will use again, perhaps staying longer as we would loved to explore the area further.

We stayed at this site for one night on the way back from the South of France. It is a good site and easy to find from junction 2 of the A71 Autoroute. Our satnav did take us down a residential street with speed bumps so it would pay to check which way your satnav wants to take you. The receptionist was very helpful and efficient. Bread and pastries can be booked for the next morning.
The site is situated alongside the river Loiret which is a tributary of the Loire. Our pitch was perfect as it was right on the bank. This might not be so good for families with young children. Water and electrics were close to the pitch. All pitches on the site are flat apart from the parts of pitches which slope towards the river.
The shower block was very new and was kept very clean. The showers were at a set temperature but were nice and warm. There is no toilet roll provided so you need to take your own. There is a large field next to the site which is used as a play area.
Wifi is available at the camp site and many people gather around the reception to make use of this. A pizza van operates from the site for a few hours in the evening.
The site is about 1. 5 miles from Olivet and a further couple of miles from Orleans. There is a tram stop not that far from the camp site if you are going to Orleans for the day. We chose to drive to Orleans in the evening and found parking easy. As you would expect for Orleans there are many restaurants to choose from.
We liked the site and would use it again both as a stop over and for short stays.

We stayed here on an overnight stay on our way to Calais for the ferry home. This was our second visit, having stayed there 2 years ago. It is well located for the motorway, but we did get a little muddled finding the place for which I blame Google Maps since the map was right but the accompanying directions were wrong! It is quite a tight, almost single lane, road down to the site and I did see some caravans struggling a bit.
The staff were very friendly. I had booked in advance, which I would recommend because it was nearly full and was allocated a pitch next to the river, which most of the tents were because the river splits the campsite in 2 places. The caravans seem to be located away from the river. The pitch sloped down towards the river at the back, but the area on which we pitched was nice and flat. We have a 5 berth family tent which fitted ok – I wouldn’t want to try to pitch anything bigger there. If you have small children it is worth noting that the river is not fenced off in any way – I was anticipating a possible swim in the river to rescue one of mine 2 youngsters, but they were thankfully very well behaved on both occasions.
The campsite has good, basic facilities which are kept very clean. We didn’t have an electric hook up so can’t comment on that. There were plenty of water outlets around, a little table tennis area and a fairly basic shop with tables around and some Lego for the kids. Bread and pastries can be collected from the shop from 8am. They have a take-away pizza van for a couple of hours each evening, which sells very tasty pizzas. The washing facilities are all in one block – men and women all in one room, but there are a couple of individual wash rooms. There was plenty of hot water. The dishwashing facilities were great - roomy and clean.
This is a great site for an overnight stay, clean and well kept and fairly good value for money. It's not ideal for younger kids in terms of the open river and the lack of suitable play equipment.

We stopped at this site on our way to South of France. It was easy to find and upon arrival we received a good welcome.
Our pitch was much larger than expected and the whole site was lovely.
Good, clean toilets and showers although unisex.
Pizza van man came to site at teatime and stayed for a few hours, also site offered takeaway food which although a microwave meal was presented very well.
River runs through site and some pitch were on the banks so had lovely view.
Only downside was that the barrier didn't open until 8am so you were unable to leave any earlier.
Lovely site, shame we didn't stay longer.

We stayed at this site overnight on our way to, and from, the west coast of France from the channel tunnel - it was ideally placed about half way through our journey and only about a ten minute detour from our main route down the A10.
The site was lovely - all pitches a good size and nicely sheltered by trees, hook up and water easily accessible, helpful and friendly staff, new toilet/ shower / washing up block. There's a separate baby change area with a small bath, which was particularly welcome for us with a young boy who is not too keen on showers! The facilities were kept clean and did not seem to get too busy.
There's a shop selling basics and fresh bread can be ordered each evening for collection early the next morning. The two nights we were there a pizza van was on site for easy take aways should you need them. There was a free wine tasting on our first night.
There's no set play area for kids, but lego and pens and pictures are put out on the tables by the shop which kept our two happy.
The site was not too large and was full both nights we stayed, so booking is probably advisable.
We did not get to explore the area as we were just travelling through, but what we did see looked lovely.
Would definitely recommend this site.

We chose this site so that we could visit Orleans on our way back north. We didn't find it very easily, by chance we picked up the campsite signs.
The attractive site is situated next to the river Loiret, with woods along the river, and fields on the other side.
The pitches are mostly flat and grassy with trees for shade.
The receptionist was friendly and spoke good English. We were allocated a pitch not far from the facilities, though the numbers were a bit confusing, we had to walk down the row to count up.
The facility block looks to be brand new, plenty of unisex showers and toilets in 1 room, and washing up in another, all nice and clean. There are automatic lights which come on when you walk in, and piped music!
There is a small shop and cafe/bar which sells hot food every evening, and a bread ordering service for mornings.
There is a small playground for children.
We picked up a leaflet on local cycle routes, and cycled into Orleans, it was a fairly easy ride mostly off road and took about 25 mins.
The price was moderate.

Used this municipal site for an overnight stop, on our way home from the south of France. First thing to say is it would soon fill up in summer due to the small size of the site. Finding the site was easy due to plenty of signposts the reception was very friendly and booking in was easy, we where offered to order bread for morning. The pitches where a good size and separated by hedges there is a good road bridge over the river which runs through the site.
The toilet block was modern, well lit with hot showers and pot washing facilities, only 2 showers in male and female sections but adequate for the size of the site.
Did not see any shops near site but there is a large hypermarket near the town.
This is a lovely little site which would be best visited out of season for sight-seeing.

Used this site as an overnight en-route to the Tarn Gorge and found it perfect for our needs. The toilets were very clean, staff very friendly and nice decent sized pitches. Plenty of taps etc. Can't comment on the area as was only there overnight but the wee village looked nice and Orleans itself looked worth a visit. I would certainly use the site again if travelling on same route.

This is an excellent little site but has received some negative comment in the forum including 'difficult to find'; one of the reasons for this is that the map on their website is wrong - it shows the site to the West of the A20 when in fact it is some way to the East! You have to come off the A20 on the righthand side (going south) and then turn immediately left - well signposted then.
Much of the site is on an island in the River Loirot and canoes can be hired at the camp. The camp also sells breads in the morning (ordered the evening before) as well as a few basic foods and wine (which seemed rather expensive to me).
It is quite a walk to Olivet centre and further to Orleans but there is a tramstop at 10-15 minutes walk - much more reliable than the 'buses. The site will arrange bike hire and there are some lovely rides through the fields and along the rivers.
Adequate numbers of toilets &c, kept very clean; no problems with noisy campers although the owls can get quite noisy at night! Separate waste bins except that the one for glass is just outside the camp, not with all the others!
Didn't effect us but every day there was a sign up on the main road all day saying no vacancies, yet people came and went . Possibly people had reserved by 'phone (we could never get through by e-mail). There seemed to be no problem accommodating tents but vans were often in the external car park in the mornings .

Great little friendly site. We used it as a stopover on the way south and then again on the way home. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We just turned up and they found room for us (it helped having our 'overnight stay' small tent). Cost 14 euros for 2 adults and 2 kids + tent and car. Morning bread and croissant deliveries and a small shop selling all the necessities ie. A cold beer/vino after a long drive, merci! and ice cream for the kids, everyone's happy. Oh, you must go and have a look at the family of beevers in the lake at the far end of the site.
Verdict = perfect for your a stop over on your way south/back home.
Just follow signs 'Camping Municipal' once you come off the toll and into Olivet.
