A 2night stay was my first ever stay at a naturist camp. Arriving slightly nervous I was greeted on arrival and made to feel very welcome. Everyone was so friendly and I enjoyed my stay immensely. Well kept level pitches with e-hookup if needed.
Loos and communal showers kept nice and clean. Games room, jacuzzi, pool, hot tub all there at no extra cost. Small shop on site and laundry facilities. Best of all are the walks and views that are had when strolling around the fields that are all part of Acorns.
Daily fees are discounted if a 7 day stay is booked and paid in advance and there, s a daily visitor charge. Looking forward to my next visit.

We visited during a period of poor & often cold weather end July 2011. This clearly was a factor in our review !
The site is well presented & well sign posted but certainly tucked away. We were never disturbed and it is very peaceful with good views from most pitches. Facilities more than adequate for most and all available during our stay. Owners & wardens helpful and around if you want them. Fresh Bread recommended.
The site has large grounds with large cut grass areas mown regularly (a bit too much sometimes !). The meadows and grounds were really lovely for daytime & evening 'au natural' walks - a definite 10/10 for us about the site !
Major shopping is a drive into Tiverton. Pubs (not visited) a drive.
The site was surprisingly quiet, perhaps maybe due to weather / forecast, with the majority of occupied caravans being 'seasonals' many of whom were 'around'. Most visitors were however in the constant regular turnover of tents or staying in the house. The site seems popular with both couples & singles about roughly 50/50 split overall during our stay.
If you seek a quiet retreat style of site (not a club type) then this is for you.

We have just taken on a seasonal pitch here. Andy & Kathy have worked very hard over the winter. Nearly all pitches have electric hook up and water, Andy is getting stuck into putting hard standings down on the pitches. The new septic tank has been installed and working. The shower room and toilets have been updated. They have a small shop which because its the start of the season is just starting to fill up. The games barn (darts, table tennis and Pool table) are all free and in good order. Well worth visiting.

We loved this site, its in a quiet location away from it all, Site comprises of two fields & a farm yard where the out building's have been converted into a good size shower/washing & toilet block, Good washing up area with freezer & washing machine, small barn with pool table and other games, telly & reading/relaxing area, also a honesty shop for basic item. There's a hot-tub, solar heated swimming pool & a great wood fired sauna.
The upper of the two fields is set up for caravans/campers & camping with good sized plots & hookups. Lower field has been left to grow wild apart from neatly cut paths for you to wander through & appreciate the many variety of wildlife. They also have static caravans as well as B&B in the farm house. We can also recommend the delicious evening meals they offer. To eat out the best pub food we found was about three miles away at the Mitre Inn, Witheridge, EX16 8AE
Over all this is a lovely relaxing site & of course the best thing is you can take off your clothes the moment you arrive and not put them on again until you leave.

We camped two nights, blessed with perfect weather and maybe that coloured our view! Nevertheless, this place, deep in the Devon countryside, does seem to have a special charm, reminiscent of small naturist sites in rural France.
The camping fields slope gently to the south, with views over rolling green farmland to the highest peaks of Dartmoor in the distance. Paths had been mown in neighbouring fields, so it was possible to go for a peaceful stroll without dressing. The site hasn't long been licensed for touring vans, so to some extent it's still a work-in-progress: glass screens were being erected around the 10m solar-heated pool while we were there, and preparations evident to extend the electric hook-ups and install a larger septic system.
The facilities are simple and all the better for it: the sauna's the wood-burning type, not electric; the wi-fi's free; the showers are just in a row on one side of a large wet-room, with changing benches on the other (how quick and just plain efficient that is compared to the usual cramped cubicals!). Niggles? Certainly there are some, no doubt to be attended to as the site matures: there should be towels or hand-driers for the wash basins; the pool steps should be secure, not wobbly. But such small annoyances melt away in the face of so much charm!
