This site is in an excellent location for visiting D Day landing museums/memorials.

It is approx. 300m to Juno beach. A lot of seaweed whilst we were there. Not much in the resort, a supermarket, bakers, butchers and a few restaurants. On average it would cost you 25 euros a head for an average meal ( 1 course ). We found everything expensive.

The pitch we were allocated was an ideal size for the caravan, awning and car. There was electric hook up but no water on our pitch.

There is a new facilities block. The toilets are in a separate room to the showers and are out of this world. Only queued once in 2 weeks. There is good washing up facilities. There is another facilities block that looked to be unisex.

The meals in the bar are basic hamburger/chips, salads, moules. The lager was 5 euros a pint and was disgusting. Hence did not drink in much.

There is free WiFi in the bar area. This is turned off when the bar closes bang on 11pm.

We travelled down from Calais as the cost of the ferry to Caen/Cherbourg/Le havre were to expensive but I seemed to be driving forever.

All in all a fantastic holiday at a great site.

 This is a brilliant site.

We were escorted to our pitch - roomy (our Vail 700 and estate car easily fit), electric hook-up and water on tap. Car movements are limited to 7am to 11pm and there was no disturbance after 11pm.

Entertainment is simple and honest - no 'hard sell' on anything. Shop has everything you need - it feels a little pricey but that's mostly down to the exchange rate. Bar serves decent food - again, feels a little pricey but not outrageous.

New toilet block is a world away from anything I've experienced on other sites - hi-tec, clean and no queues.

Pool is brilliant - slides, jacuzzis and 'rapids' (although not that rapid really!) with plenty of safe areas for little ones to play. No lifeguard, so your kids are your responsibility (as it should be, in my opinion).

Nice play area, free ice rink (plastic, but quite usable) and a very nice family feel to the site. We'll be back!

We finished our 2 week holiday in France with a 3 night stay here and were so disappointed with the site and the amenities for the price we had paid.

Our holiday consisted of visits to 3 different campsites (middle site we treated ourselves to a mobile home). My husband booked this last leg of the journey and was charged $270 euro for 3 nights. We thought this was very expensive but being new to the whole camping experience, we thought this was the going rate for a 4 star campsite in the middle of August.

It was only when we arrived and saw the tariffs on the board that we realised we had been onvercharged. We did query this on the last day and were reluctantly given back 112 euros. The reason we were overcharged was that the minimum stay is 7 nights - we only stayed 3 nights. Now, this was not obvious on the booking form and if they are willing to accept bookings that are less than 7 nights online, then this surcharge applied should be stated very clearly on the booking form. We felt totally violated and ripped off. The person in charge said we should be grateful we got our money back as others have tried and have not been successful as it is stated in the terms and conditions.

The pitches were decent enough sizes, separated by hedges and trees but lanes to access the pitches were narrow and allowed 2-way traffic, so quite chaotic. Although close to the toilet blocks, I did not feel it was safe enough to allow my 6 year old to go there himself, due to the volume of traffic.

Dog poo also on the site we were given. Not a great welcome.

Toilets and shower block were recently refurbished but difficult to get the toilet roll out of the dispensers and showers could do with more hooks. The soap dispenser in the ladies toilets went almost a full day before being filled.

Chemical toilets were located in the same area as washing-up which I found repulsive but perhaps that is just me.

Swimming pool was warm in temperature. Kids enjoyed the slides but nothing compared to the previous campsite we attended.

Did not see any security at the swimming pools or on site during our stay.

Despite the rules saying no noise between 12 midnight and 7am, the site was noisy at night.

The kids enjoyed the mini-disco (same songs every night) and dance outside but although entertainment staff were very friendly, the entertainment was amateur - acceptable if you are paying 40 euro a night but not if you are paying 90.

My 5-year old daughter was perched on my husbands chair to see the kids entertainment and a 50+ man asked her to sit down as he could not see. This was almost the straw that broke the camels back for us.

Bar was expensive for soft drinks - $2.50 euro for a glass of flat diet coke from a big bottle and bar staff did not know how to smile - very different from the previous 2 campsites. Bring your own soft drinks to the bar.

Shop limited and expensive - probably like most campsite shops but Hyper you close by.

Neighbouring towns look nice enough and lovely coastline but local beach not suitable for swimming.

Not a very pleasant experience for us here to end our holidays in France but we did witness a great firework display on the last night that was in the village itself (not organised by Yelloh!), so there was some positives amongst all the negatives.

This is a really lovely site with excellent facilities. The toilet block is brand new and kept meticulously clean. There is an excellent pool complex with slides, lazy river, jaccuzzis and a pool with removable roof. At the start of our stay the weather was fairly average but the outdoor pool was still warm. This is also kept very clean and it never felt overcrowded.

The shop is good if pricey and the bar is also pricey - we found it cheaper to eat in the nearby village.

Our pitch was of a generous size and quiet. We were right next to the bar and pool but apart from the daily Kid's Disco (same 5 songs every day) and one Karaoke session we weren't disturbed.

The site is an excellent base for visiting the D-Day beaches. We visited several during the week. Bayeux and the tapestry are also a short drive away as is Caen.

All in all we can thoroughly recommend this site. We had a great time
