Lovely great views, beach minutes away, friendly family run cafe. We stayed in a pre-pitched Euro Tent, which was clean and spacious. It was my daughters first time camping and they loved it.

The only gripe as others have mentioned is the toilet / shower facilities. Only 2 toilets and showers for either sex - didn;t seem to be a problem for the males, but definitely need twice this number for females!

Lets get the big negative out the way - showers. Two each male/female- it means queues. If they then were clean, hot, powerful, it would be okay, but they aren't. The worse is the trays that were blocked the whole holiday, which meant that if you were not first in (i queued at 6. 30 am) then you had to get into another persons dirty water. Yuk.

Two toilets each male/female, that were clean, had liquid soap to sinks (4), hairdryer, paper hand towel. There is very little space, no hooks, etc.

Pitches are sort-of organised, though there does seem to be a lot of groups attracted to this site who all congregate in huge compound type areas they form out of their cars and wind breaks, it wasn't a problem for us, but you felt there was a potential for rowdiness-though the staff were very on the ball, so I couldn't say its a problem for sure.

The staff are very friendly and keen to help whatever problems-except the showers!

The big 'wow' is the beautiful location- it is clifftop (bit scary on foot path-but I'm a wooss) and only a short 5 min easy walk to gorgeous beach down a steep (very) walkway. The beach is truly wonderful and goes on and on and on. Perfect for children, swimming, dogs. Non-commercialised-toilets in carpark at top of cliff. Also near carpark/campsite is a great cafe, post office(supplies lots food etc), pub-child/dog friendly-great food, good wine selection.

The campsite is only open july/August, as they havn't got planning permission to have a site there other months-but it has a permanent feel. They have a cafe on site, they do breakfasts / dinners / icecreams. There's a play room with pool table/table tennis etc, and sofas to play games if the rain cancels your day at the beach.

There is a excellent washing up room, with a washing machine (£3)

The footpath along the coast is fabulous-you can walk all the way to cromer.

Cromer has a train station, our teenagers came on the train- only £5 to site by cab. So you could easily pick up shopping from morrisons, next door to trains, even without a car.

Cromer is a bit boring-lovely old chirch though-worth a visit.

The site is in a lovely spot, North Norfolk is amazing, the showers are awful, but I'd go again!

My first experience in a pre set up tent with Go Camping. I must confess to being apprehensive but I would say that providing you are prepared to put up with basic and limited (but clean) campsite facilities, the campsite was a good experience.

The staff were excellent. There was a friendly but noisy family atmosphere about the site when the weather was nice but we didn't experience rowdy behaviour as many of the families had young children and it tended to die down late on. Felt sorry for the tents on the cliff edge in the high winds who were flattened. Nice local village facilities.

Arrived on the Friday to grey skies, cold weather and horrific wind - Eurotent was ready for us, clean and well equipped, staff friendly and location lovely. Games room great for teenagers and the cafe staff and food was great and well priced.

However, only 2 female toilets and showers on the site with 40 odd pitches - wholly inadequate and could be best described as basic, at worst dirty and like something out of the 70's.

Overall, nice clean and tidy site with friendly staff and great cafe, but facilities were basic.

Just came back from this campsite after a 2 days stay there in our tent.

We went as a family of four, with two young children and our terrier. We loved this site and are eager to book again for next year where we would stay for longer.

The facilities are basic, but fine, the campsite is clean and prices are reasonable. Th staff are helpful and generally the site has a relaxed atmosphere.

It does also has the most amazing views straight over the beach which is 5 mins away where our children spent a whole day body-boarding. In addition, there is a lovely walk to Cromer straight from the site and many other places to discover. Overstrand itself is a beautiful little village with a great family-friendly pub and a well stocked shop.

On the downside, it was a little noisy at night, a few families staying had children that very noisy from very early in the morning and there were a couple of party groups that could have been a little quieter late at night - leaving little time in between for peace!

In addition, it can be very windy up there on the cliff top. We are lucky, the weather was beautiful, but I'd ensure you have a good, strong tent before visiting this campsite.

The ready-pitched Eurotent was very clean and tidy and had a fridge and electrics. Handy also to have table, chairs and beds provided too. Also good to have all cutlery and cups provided including kettle and gas stove and a decent sized drinking water container.

The views from the site were incredible enabling you to see a long way out to sea and also the very good sandy beach below. It was only a 30 minute walk into the local town of Cromer.

I cannot comment on the games and eating areas because we did not use them. Other campers did seem to enjoy those facilities.

Unfortunately the showering/toilet facilities were a bit primitive and a bit dirty more often than not. We expected much better. The other issue was the fact there were only two showers and toilets per gender and this needs to be double given the size of the site.

We always had hot water for the showers, so not all bad. The washing up facilities were very good.

We can highly recommend The Fish Shop (fish and chips to take-away or eat in) which is a 10 minute drive down the road towards Norwich and also the choice of places to eat in the area.

Cromer is also a lovely town which is well worth a visit.

Friendly tent campsite right on the cliff above the beach. About 1/3 of the pitches are pre-pitched frame tents.

Not suitable if you have toddlers of the escape artist variety - they'd easily climb under the fence if they didn't spot the official gap and then they're right at the edge of the cliff! For slightly older children though it's great - there's a playground next to the entrance to the site, a games room if it's wet and it's literally 2 mins walk to a sandy beach.

Pitches are allocated: all flat, but make sure you have secure pegs for if it's windy as there's no shelter. The smaller your tent, the more likely you are to be right by the cliff - the pre-pitched tents are the furthest back and nearest the toilet block.

The on-site cafe has good and cheap food with friendly service, and this also has a freezer for ice blocks and facilities for charging mobile phones etc if you need this.

The washing up area has plenty of sinks, a washing machine, and a baby bath. Just one drinking water point by the toilet block but this isn't a problem for the size of the site.

The toilet block is very basic: 2 toilets, 2 showers and 4 wash basins each (male/female); no disabled facilities. This was not sufficient for the number of tents (a similar size site with caravans as well would have had less usage), and there were queues for the ladies at peak times. Toilet roll seemed to run out fairly often so you needed your own to be safe.

Shelves are provided but shortage of pegs to hang towels or coats on. The basic cleaning of the toilet blocks was fine, but they felt in need of more thorough cleaning: the changing area of the shower cubicles did not look as if they had been cleaned recently and I had to wash my feet again after getting dry. There also seemed to be a slight drains problem, with slow draining and smells.

nice little site, obviously being on clifftop very windy, but fantastic views and a great walk from the site along the cliffs to cromer.

I know there has been comments on here about there only being two toilets, and two showers, 2 for men, 2 for women, but this was never a problem, sometimes you had to wait to use them, maybe some people might want more facilities for £20 a night, but I thought it was reasonable.

Friendly staff, as I was on own with my daughter, even helped me put up my tent! had a great time would definitely go again.

Stayed for 2 nights with OH and 2 kids (aged 2 and 3)

Location is right on top of the cliff so it can be very windy and also I was a little bit nervous if kids are out of sight as the fence separating the site and the cliff was not that substantial.

So I didn't like it eh? Wrong! We all loved the place!

Everyone was very friendly and the on site facilities(shower, cafe, gamesroom) were excellent.

There is a pub and playground nearby in Overstrand

And Cromer is very close(10 mins in car)or cliff top walk (you can't get a baby buggy through the narrow cliff track though!)

All in all I heartily recommend this site.

Our first impressions of this site were very good. We were met by the chap at reception who directed us to our pitch. Unfortunately another car had parked on our pitch (not the fault of the site) so we had to go away and come back later in order to put our tent up.

The site was basic but very friendly and tidy with a nice family feel to it. Due to the size of the campsite (ie fairly small) there was a pleasant intimate feel to the site.

The site has beautiful views as it overlooks the sea and due to this the sound of the oceans is fantastic. However, due to it's cliff top location it was extremely windy on some days and upon arrival quite a few people struggled to get their tents up.

Our pitch was also next to the cliff side public footpath which would have a continuous but steady flow of footfall from walkers and people heading to the beach. However, this did not make it noisy as the people passing seemed to respect the fact that people were staying in tents close to the footpath. I also cannot remember this path being used much at night (as it is probably not wise to use the path in the dark due to the huge drop at the other side).

The toilets were clean but only two toilets (in the female side) and two showers. The showers were not always hot but warm enough to wash. In the morning there would be a slight queue for the showers but I made sure I went 'off peak' and therefore usually walked straight into an empty shower.

The staff on the site were extremely helpful and friendly. There is a washing machine which can be used for a small fee for washing and a room to do your washing up.

The bike hire was good but we didn't go for it. Only £10 to hire a bike for a full day which we thought was great and there is a playroom / games room to keep the kids busy.

The pitches were quite close together although not silly close. I would recommend this site. This site would appeal to everyone really, walkers, younger people, couples, families (as long as you don't mind the wind which can be really strong due to the location of the site).

Some tents were almost buckling against the wind some days and so you will need a sturdy tent. My lower mark on the site location is mainly due to the cliff top position being windy, however, if you want the view you have to suffer the wind. The weather was overcast most days but my husband and I had a fantastic time.

The campsite is a great location for Cromer and other surrounding towns. I found Sherringham very pretty. A nice seaside location without the 'tat' feel of Blackpool / Yarmouth.
