We have just returned from a brilliant 6 night stay at Cloverfields and we didn't want to leave!.

From the moment you get through the gate the owner Jan and her daughter Jodi can't do enough to make sure you have a wonderful stay.

Ever pitch has its own water tap and waste bin carefully hidden in a wooden box.

The toilet and shower blocks are so well kept, you won't find any better anywhere.

We loved the adult only factor especially over a bank holiday weekend.

We look forward to visiting again already and we have only been home 24hours!

My son and myself have just returned from this lovely site. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The toilet block is the best I have ever seen. Very clean with hotel standard touches.

We were taken to see the new born calf and lambs. The fact that it is now an adults only site added to the peaceful scenery. The pitches are well designed and spaced out.

There is lots of new plantation and a lovely pond.It is well situated to travel into Buxton. Very good place to be camping. Recommend a visit.

What a great site, toilets very clean & well heated, piped music playing lovely personal touches in the toilet block includes mints, earbuds shaving balm etc. Ideal location just outside Buxton the site itself is very clean, big pitch half hardstanding half grass, free barbecues. We have visited three times now and every time we go there is something new and the plans they have in place will really enhance what is already a great site. The owners and staff are so helpful they even deliver the morning papers you request to your caravan, shop is nice and handy. Just perfect

A really nice, well laid out site, for caravans, tents and camper vans. Beautifully kept toilets and showers, always fresh, with music played in both the toilets and the utility room, which had a washer and dryer, washing up sink, store of books and games to borrow, and an ironing board.

Very warm and welcoming family run site, with nothing too much bother. Welcomed us as we arrived, trailer in tow, and told us to take our pick of tent sites at the top of the site. Nice flat pitches, perfect for our large never used before tent! Good access from there to all facilities, including small shop at the house, with freezer pack facilities, milk etc. Jodie and Jan were very polite and chatty, but never seemed in a rush.

Long term plans including a tea room and shop, and we recommend the site to anybody.

Buxton is only 10 mins away by car, and book shop at the other end of the road.

Quiet at night, even though fairly close to main road, easy access from car to tent, and parking for cars just 1 min walk from tent pitches.

Well run, looked after, loved site, and we are returning!

This is a very friendly site a couple of miles south of Buxton, just off the A515. We have been twice this year - for the May Bank Holiday and again in early August. Janand Jodie who run the site are very welcoming and cannot do enought for you.

The site is not big - about 24 units plus a few tents - although a dozen new super-pitches are being developed. From 1st February 2011 the site will become Adults only. (It is a working farm, so perhaps the insurance company has struck again!)

All caravan pitches are individual hard stands with hook-up, bar-b-q and own bins. They are on two terraces, giving great views across the vale (not to mention the quarry!) There is one small facility block - but for the most part it is adequate for the size of site. A new block is planned to go with the new super-pitches, and - eventually, perhaps 3 years time if funds permit - Jan plans a tea room. The site shop stocks grocery essentials, and gets locally produced bacon and sausages.

A short walk from the site brings you to the bus terminus at Burlow - it has a 30 minute service into Buxton, so why bother with the car? There is also a spasmodic bus service from Buxton to Ashbourne that stops outside the site - but it is infrequent and unreliable.

A chip van visits from 5 to 7 on Saturday evening; it can be recommended. Avoid the chippy in Harpur Hill village - it's extortionate! The pub in the village is also to be avoided, but there are several nice pubs along the A515 towards Pomeroy - some of which do food.

Buxton is a brilliant little town with all the facilities that you could want, some great little shops, and is the centre for some breath-taking walking country. It also has good bus services to the outlying villages, and an hourly (well patronised) train service to Manchester - even on Sundays.

There is a Morrisons supermarket in Buxton with a hot deli as well as a coffee shop. (Into Buxton on the A515; turn right at the traffic lights. Keep going to the end of that road and it's in front of you). There are also a Sainsburys and a Waitrose in the town centre.

It also boasts a small but well patronised and famous opera house, which presents a wide variety of musical productions - from opera to light musical entertainers. There is an annual Gilbert & Sullivan festival in August.

All in all this is a brilliant little site, well situated to explore the Dark Peak, Derbyshire Dales and the Staffordshire Moorlands. Having been here twice this year, we will certainly be back - perhaps once more this year, and certainly next Spring.

Have just got home from this site & we really didn't want to leave. From the warm greeting when we got there to leaving it was wonderful.

The site is lovely & clean, facilities were great. Each van has plenty of room, all hard standing but with a nice grassy area by the side of your van, which is very private.

Don't forget apples/carrots for the donkeys & bread for hens & ducks.

This is, without doubt, the most friendly site we have ever visited. We were welcomed by the family as soon as we arrived and made to feel like old friends within minutes.

Our hardstanding pitch had its own water supply and electric hook up but, apparently due to local rules, no grey waste facility. The site was kept in pristine order and was very secure with coded entry and exit.

The facilities were immaculately clean with power showers which were great. There were only two showers which could have led to a wait during busy times but we had no problems in that respect. The problem I had was with the design of the shower rooms. There was a shower and a sink but no mirror over the sink for shaving. The only mirror was behind the screen where your clothes were hung to keep them dry and therefore you had to get dressed and walk around the corner into the gent's toilet to use the sinks there with a mirror over them.

Unfortunately there was no shelf provided near these sinks to hold anything and I also kept banging my head on the soap dispenser over the sink when rinsing my face. Also as the door to the gents was opened the urinals and their users were exposed to anyone passing as there is no screening.

The site is very quiet and within easy reach of Buxton and Leek and we had a very pleasant and peaceful stay but some simple attention is required to the facilities block i.E mirrors and shelves over sinks and modesty screening in the gents. It is a pity that such lovely people have not given enough thought to these easily remedied matters and therefore lowered the very high standards of the rest of the site.

Fantastic campsite. Friendly owners, great pitches with bushes between to give privacy, lovely open fields all around, lots of birds, we even saw bats flying around as dusk settled in

Some of the cleanest toilets and showers I've seen on a campsite. Running water on the pitches, bbq's on the pitches, great area for exploring the peaks. We will be going back for sure

An easy to find small caravan & camping site in the Peak District, close to Buxton and with easy access to Bakewell, Ashbourne & Matlock. This site is not set in the most scenic area of the Peak District but what it might lack in spectacular views is more than made up for in other ways.

The modern toilet and shower block is impressive, not only with plenty of hot water, a separate 'dry' area to every shower cubicle so you can keep your clothes dry but also with piped music to the loos!

Each caravan pitch has it's own lined rubbish bin and a quality barbecue as well as a water connection - though you may find like us that your lead doesn't stretch far enough. We had a newspaper of our choice delivered to our caravan and there was a small shop for basics.

There is a dog walking area. Nearby is a large discounted book store and Buxton for good shopping is a few minutes drive away. We found a great car boot sale at a school in Bakewell and saw signs for quite a few others. Bakewell is very pretty and bustling, as is Matlock Bath and Ashbourne.

We spent 3 nights here in reasonable weather and didn't see everything this area has to offer. Clover Fields is definitely a place to go back to!

Not many site owner/managers bother to pop down to your pitch to welcome you and ask if you need help setting up on arrival, but these people did. I found that a nice touch, nothing was too much effort even papers delivered to your door. The loo's spotless and piped panpipe music whilst you were in there 'Different'

Will we go again yes

Would recommend 'no' because that would mean no pitch for me only joking
