We had an 11 night stay on the campsite during some very variable weather in August, the site was immaculate and generous spaces between pitches. The beach nearby is lovely and there is loads to do in the area we went biking, walking and spent as much time as possible on the beach even in the rain! it is easy access to all lovely towns around so a useful spot to base yourself in. The local fish and chip shop was excellent as was the local shop which includes a fab butchers and bakery.
The only gripe we had which the owners are addressing this winter are the shower facilities, they ended up costing us a small fortune with 5 of us to shower sometimes twice a day if we had been at the beach etc at 40p per shower, they often didn't work but to their credit the owners refunded us each time over and above what we had used. There is only 1 family room so we had to wait about a lot and the ladies shower was in the toilet which made for an unpleasant experience at times as they are all open above the cubicle which means little privacy and no ventilation between them! I would personally rather pay more to stay per night and then have free showers and all our favourite sites operate this way, it would put me off returning unless I knew this had been sorted out.
The owners could not be more helpful and even during a particularly bad night when a large unsavoury family group pitched up we were impressed by the way they handled this and ensured that their current customers were cared for and happy.
A small playground, even just a set of swings would be welcomed on the site to keep the kids entertained sometimes.
Overall a good experience.

We only stayed here for three nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Every thing is kept immaculate.
The area is outstanding, beaches countryside and site. Lots to do if you like the outdoors.
We had some dry weather but not hot sunny days so we will be back when the weather gets better. Hard standings with water and drains included was great for motorhomes.
Close to local shop and on a bus route.

Just returned from a weekend at tyn y coed, had a great time,
2 days on the lovely beaches, just a short walk away from the site,
Campsite was very impressive and the owners couldn't do enough to make our stay very enjoyable and go above and beyond duties,
The site itself is immaculately clean & tidy,
I would, and will recommend this site and location to all our caravan / camping friends,
The grounds are like a bowling green and the toilets are immaculately kept.
Will be returning to this site very soon.

Just returned from a five day break at this site. Arrived on the jubilee bank holiday monday, the weather was glorious when we arrived. there was nobody around so followed the instructions to the house, which could do with being a bit bigger and clearer but found the house in the end. very friendly owners and helpful as well.
Pitched the folding camper and went for a walk with the hope of finding the beach, as some of the previous reviews stated beach nearby short walk, after 20 mins walking gave up and went back to the camper.
Two small shops just a short stroll down the road selling all the essentials but the nearest supermarket was in pwllheli.
Lovely spacious pitch near to the toilet and shower block with ehu. showers were 40p for 5 mins, which is quite expensive, especially with children to shower also.
One big gripe was that there was a parent and child facility but single people were forever using it, so never got to go in this, I think is something that needs looking into, especially as there is only one male/female shower making the queues longer in there when parents have to shower themselves and their children.
If visiting the beach be prepared for quite a long walk at least 30 mins, but a lovely beach when you get there, with a nice pub there also.
If taking dogs then there is a lovely walk across the road and up a dirt track which takes you to a lovely pond and horses in the field nearby, who were very friendly and let the children stroke them.
Wash up facilities were spot on but could do with hotter water. freezer and washing machines/dryers are also located in the wash up area.
Just one thing to bear in mind is that when we pitched we were on the top field and had to level the camper quite low at the back and struggled getting the waste under back end, so make sure you have a long waste hose.
We had torrential rain whilst camping but the ground soon drained, but extremely wet whilst it was raining, but as said the rain was very bad.
All in all a lovely site and well worth a visit

Lovely site located on the edge of Morfa Nefyn with a general store and post office/shop for every day supplies in easy walking distance. Pitch was plenty big enough and well marked out with a white post to show the extent. We did use an EHU. Site was quite full but it didn't feel crowded. Nice clean facilities, shower was 40p for 5mins. Shower very roomy with seat and hooks in the front part so easy to keep stuff dry. The owners are very pleasant and Lorraine showed us to the pitch and explained how to contact her at any time. We were close to the toilet block but this wasn't a problem, in fact due to the heavy rain it was nice to be near! The wash-up and washer/dryer and large freezer are located inside the back of block which is a nice. Freezer blocks can be frozen free of charge. Only one shower did make for a queue some mornings but not a huge problem. Great beaches nearby and of course the Ty Coch pub which was our favourite spot. The weather was not the best ( we left on the Friday night of the floods as the rain was non-stop that day) but that did not spoil our enjoyment of the area. We will stay again when we visit the area.

We (+ dog) have just spent a week at this idyllic little site. The other reviewers are not wrong the site is immaculate, it really did feel that we had pitched the tent on someone's back lawn.
The owners are friendly and helpful and the facilities spotless. With so many sites now being ruined by being crammed full with scruffy seasonally pitched caravans this one is a real gem.
With views out over the welsh hills and being within walking distance of the beaches at Porth dinllaen this site has it all. You can get a coffee or pint at the pub on the beach. There are pubs serving food and small shops a short stroll away.
In the interest of balance the toilet block was not heated which would be a consideration if staying out of season, and the washing up water could do with being a couple of degrees warmer. However the site is reasonably priced and excellent value. You need 20 p for a shower which lasts a couple of minutes.
If you chance upon this review whilst looking for somewhere to stay on the Lleyn Peninsula then look no further and book this one, you will not be disappointed.

We have just had a lovely weekend stay at this campsite. The owners of the site are very friendly and welcoming.
Nice flat, large pitches. The toilet block/pot washing area was very clean, just a small point to raise regarding the showers, there could really do with being more.
That said, it wouldn't put us off returning to or recommending the campsite.
There is plenty to do around the surrounding area, a visit to the Ty Coch on the beach is very recommended. Lots of nice coastal walks and within easy reach of Abersoch / Pwhelli / Porthmadog / Criccheth.
We look forward to returning.

Just got back having spent 5 lovely nights at this outstanding site. Within walking distance(mostly flat) of local shops, pubs and lovely beaches the site is ideally placed for a relaxing enjoyment packed holiday. We had some heavy rain during the nights but the site drains really well so we had no problems at all. Toilet block spotless as was washing up area and chemical disposal. Hard standings have there own tap and drain and are covered in blue stone and are billiard table flat. Very friendly owners coupled with the excellent facilities make this a great place for tourers and campers alike. Can't wait to go back.

We have just returned from our first camping experience staying at Tyn Y Coed Touring Park having stayed for 5 nights. We had a fabulous time and could not fault the site at all.
The toilet / shower block was spotlessly clean at all times of the day and night as was the washing up area.
The owners are lovely and friendly as were all other fellow campers. The site is in a fantastic location with a beautiful beach and shops within walking distance.
We will definitely return again and again.
The Ty Coch Inn on the beach is well worth one or two visits even on a windy day your are sheltered and can sit and watch the children play happily whilst you sit on the wall with a drink or two and a bite to eat either at the pub or the fantastic chippy just down he road where the fish can be recommended.

Just spent 6 nights here. A real find. Quiet site, owners available and helpful but unobtrusive - no big lists of rules just common sense requests.
Very well maintained with close mown, level grass plus a few hard standings-lots of EHU. Facilities excellent- only 2 ladies loos and 1 shower but never had to queue-well cleaned and equipped.
Huge washing up sinks with free hot water. Close enough to walk to village with well stocked shop, cafe, beach, golf course, pub and cliff path. We'll definitely be back
