Not much to add to previous posts
Stayed for a weekend in our tent, had EHU at great prices.
Lovely flat well drained pitches. Five hard standings for caravans or motorhomes.
Depending on where you pitch there is some road noise.
Open fields to the front and side allow the wind to be felt. Hedgerows have been cut back and wind resistance may improve once the leaves are back on.
Some cracking sunsets to be had from this site and will be a star gazers paradise.
Good clean modern facilities, though the showers are £2 for 12 mins and it starts ticking down the minute you drop your coin in. Constant hot water for pot washing.
Plenty of information available for the surrounding area.
Warden on hand when needed, But not that you would know.
Will definitely return.

We have just spent a couple of nights at this site and it was superb, excellent facilities, friendly owner and red hot weather. An ideal base to visit local attractions such as the North Yorks Moor railway at Pickering and the beach at Whitby.
Thornton Le Dale is a lovely place with some interesting shops and a couple of decent pubs offering good food at reasonable prices. The site was well laid out with flat pitches and an excellent shower block, but the biggest plus is the amount of grass available for the kids to play on without having to worry about disturbing the peace of other users.
All in all a great weekend and we are sure to visit again.

We chose this site as our first family camping trip (two adults and four children under the age of 9) because of it's location (not too far to drive from Leeds, and close to Dalby Forest.
The facilities might be described as basic (no shop or playground on site) but this suited us, and there was lots of space for the children to go off and play/run around. (In fact the lack of facilities and peace and quiet were the main thing that attracted us).
There are two toilets which include a shower/wetroom. We didn't have to queue but the site was quiet (two other units) while we were there. I imagine another, or separate toilet might be beneficial for busier times?
There is a covered washing up area.
We camped at the far end of the field, overlooking the farmer's field, which was lovely.
We have a large 8 berth tent with an extension, and we arrived in two cars so we could could bring all our bikes too. We weren't charged any extra for the additional car and there was enough space for us to park both the cars nearby and we felt like we had LOTS of room.
The owner was friendly and helpful.
We drove into Thornton-le-dale where there are some nice shops which are adequate enough for most requirements. Pickering is only 5 minutes away, although was very busy while we were there due to the Steam festival, so we stayed away.
Dalby Forest is 4-5 miles away and easily reached by bike (we drove due to having young children) and we spent a lovely day cycling around the forest followed by a picnic.
We also visited Robin Hood's bay, and both here and Whitby is easily reached.
We could have spent longer here and tried to go back over Bank Holiday, but it was fully booked.
We don't have EHU so can't comment on that. We will definitely go back!

Just returned from a 4 day break here - 2 adults and 2 children. Its a real gem of a site and we will definitley be returning (soon).
The site comprises a large flat field separated into 2 parts by a gravel road. Units pitch around the outside and this leaves the central area as a large playing field for children - no need for a separate playground, with all that space kids will just get on with enjoying themselves and the3 outdoor space.
The facilities are new and comprise two wet rooms, with toilet and shower in the same room, which could be a problem if site were full but wasn't during our visit. They could benefit from an extra separate toilet or 2, especially if the site becomes more popular (which it will) but what they have is of an excellent standard and showers (£1 for 5 mins) were always hot and powerful. This washing up area is one sink with hot and cold water and is covered.
The site is on a working farm just down from Thornton Le Dale, a little village just along from Pickering. The village has a fish & chip shop, small Londis minimarket, pizza shop, pub and tea shop/ice cream parlour etc - the fish and chip shop is recommended and about 1. 5m from the site.
The owner has a very relaxed approach but was on hand when needed and lent us an extension for the EHU for no charge. At £15 per night for an 8 berth tent for 2+2 with EHU it excellent value fior money.
There's is plenty to do locally - Eden Camp, York, Castle Howard, , Whitby and Scarborough all within a short drive.
Highly recommended, but don't tell everyone or we'll not be able to get booked on again.

I don't usually leave reviews but this time I felt I should.
This is a level site easy access and very quiet.
We arrived on site and received a very warm and Friendly welcome. We were shown the facilities etc New this year 2 heated shower rooms with toilets and sinks all tiled out and no expense spared,
A covered sink outside for washing up with hot and cold water, chemical disposal point and grey water soakaway, and a large field with plenty of space for the kids to run around and play in safety.
Great centre for exploring and lots to do close by and with the beaches only 20 mins or so away a really great base.
This is a gem of a site we will return a lot here.
For only their 2nd yr they are doing great and price wise there were no extra for awnings etc
A £12 fee with £3 for EHU was a bargain.
Just a shame all the ratings are 10 out of ten I would rate them a lot higher. 20 out of 10
