I specifically chose this campsite for the wonderful location. Set on top of the ridge, with stunning views in all directions, this is a country lovers paradise. The owners were friendly and helpful. The facilities include a new toilet and shower room with a sink for washing up. Lots of hot water. The field is small so it is probably a good idea to book ahead. We just had a small tent and did not need electric hook up. I would highly recommend this site, both for the location, which is within walking distance of a pub and village shop, and for the beauty of the whole area which is full of good walks/ cycling and for the welcome from the owners. There are two National Trust properties nearby: Biddulph Grange Gardens and Little Moreton Hall. Biddulph town is a short drive away and there is a big Sainsbury's there. For those with small children be aware the site is on the road, which, although a minor road, does see a lot of traffic.

We were very impressed with this new site set high above the surrounding countryside. We found it easily; As we arrived in the dark the easy access and Simon, the owners warm welcome and assistance was very much appreciated. A lot of work is being put into getting the site ready. Hard standings are being completed and the Mains electric points all around the site have yet to be commissioned. Simon had sorted out a mains hook up for us. He had left some wooden blocks should we have needed them, as the site is on the side of a hill.
The toilets were still being worked on but clean and well lit.
We enjoyed our long weekend. In a few weeks as the finishing touches are completed this will be an excellent site and we will come again.

Nice little find. Arrived in January and site not quite finished. Owners have worked hard with the camper in mind to establish a site in stoke on trent where campsites are limited. Come summer this will be one gem of a place to visit.
The greeting and assistance from the owner was faultless and the views over the city and the Cheshire plains are amazing.
Site is sloping but owner provided blocks and its location is excellent just a short walk from really nice pubs and short drive from mow cop folly. Staffordshire's lovely heritage is here for one to explore.
Excellent for hiking and a nice little getaway for a quiet peaceful weekend. Surrounding fields have horses and the chickens and ducks laid excellent eggs which we had the pleasure of tasting.
Thank you simon for your hospitality and the bottle of champagne given as we were their first customers. We will be back again and again.
At £12. 50 p. Night with ehu this is reasonably priced.
Note no toilet block for now but this is due to council and not the owners. They are working on a solution. Please do not be put off.

Just returned from a weekend of camping with my eldest son. Great little site, excellent views, good location, friendly owners and excellent value for money! There is a pub just down the road and some excellent walks in the area.
Overall, a highly recommended site which I would return to if in the area again.
