Came down with family. Camp site huge! Loads to do, fab indoor pools very clean, very safe, great jacuzzi. The Mill Pub had nice food, an all you can eat curry night which was great value. Very busy at weekends so a wait for food but worth waiting for! Found some of the reception staff a bit hard going once they had my money! Site supermarket quite adequate, but we ate out a lot down by the beach! Bus to the beach always very busy so we never got to ride on the open top bus like we wanted. £5 to park on sea front but get there early for a space or you face a longer walk. Golden Hind pub in woolacombe fantastic for meals. Beautiful Ilfracombe not too far away.

Nice site, pitches quite close together though. We stayed over easter weekend and it was noisy at night and there didnt seem to be a policy for late night noise anywhere. The camping field is quite away from the main entertainment and take away but the toilet and showers were nice and clean. Was concerned at lack of security as no barriers onto the park. Would visit out of season. Cost was ok £24.00 for 2 adults with electric for 2 nights.

Stayed here for February half term & were impressed that when they said OPEN they meant they were OPEN. The Kids club was run 3 times a day and our son (aged 6.1/2) throughly enjoyed the variety of entertainment for children. There was also entertainment every night whilst we were there. The indoor pool is free & lovely & warm. The Bar food was basic food and reasonable prices but does come in take away boxes even if your eating in. The shop (FRESCO'S) stocks everything you could want and not over priced. Showers/Toilets were clean. The only down side is that the pitches are not very level and it can be a challenge to get the van level. The staff were all great and helpful.
We also visited the pub 50 yards down the road which has a menu that would suit anyone theres so much choice including a daily carvery - the food here was absolutely fantastic. There are 4 parks in the group and the other 3 open end of March from then on there is a bus (small fee payable) which takes you between the parks and the beach. The majority of facilities are free - pay for bowling & arcade machines. Will return - great site.

Been 3 years running, an absolutley wonderful time everytime we have been. Site is looked after well by staff, great little supermarket on there now (which was opened about 2 years ago). Great little salon there with really good hairdressers. Excellent entertainment for both adults and kids, really freindly staff that make you feel really at home. Great swimming pools both inside and outside, arcades, bowling alley, clubs, resteraunts and fast food outlets.
They also have an opentop and closed top bus that takes you down to the beach and back again - its about £1 for a weeks travel on this but at least you not wasting fuel and paying more for parking etc.
I really enjoy this place, only issue I have would be with childs safety as there are a few different accesses to the park itself.

Aug 2003 Been going to Golden Coast for 14 year but always-stayed in apartments last year got the camping bug. We know the site well, very good swimming pools on this site but you can use the facilities of the other 4 sites, one is 5 min walk, one 5 min drive, two 7-8 min drive. There is a bus service (big yellow thing one open topped) between the sites and the beach. Only problem was on last night when we had a large storm we were ok (Khyam Ridgi Dome non leaking type) but in the morning lots of people sleeping in cars, this site is on the top of the hill facing the sea. At the height of the season this is a very busy site and you need to get in the clubhouse early in the evening to get a seat. Best part is The Old Mill = 8-) Good beer, Good food, good outside seating. Lots to do on and off site. But if you’re going to the beach then it is best to use the bus as car park in Woolacombe is expensive to park and not a lot of parking on the streets.

April 2004 Fantastic Park, all the facilities are there for a great family holiday. When we got there we were told where our pitch was, number 72 (golden sands) and found scoop, muck and dizzy and co were there, building a new toilet block!! We were not notified of this!! So we asked to be moved, no problem we were moved :o)but!!!!!!!! It's the distance the pitches are away from the toilet/shower block and the plate wash is uncovered. I think maybe the site is more suitable for caravanners and not tent people!! Maybe the other parks were far suited for tenting needs. I would visit again (summertime) but maybe try the Twitchen, Easewell or Woolacombe parts of the huge complex! The entertainment programme is tops, kids clubs superb!! (only saw billy beachball once :o( Big huge soft play area (free!!!!!!!!!!!) :o( nearly £2.50 a pint though ouch!! but that is usual holiday park prices. There is an on-site supermarket (Frescos) nothing at all to do with TESCOS averagely priced, and stocked with all the supplies you would need :o)
