Just came back from two weeks at above site,
Excellent facilities, helpful pleasant staff.
Large area for tents, separate area caravans and motorhomes, only 3 hookups .Some road noise but you get that anywhere with a main road running close by.
Black Lion pub does great meals lunchtime and evenings very reasonable prices/ after we walked out of one pub who wanted £9.50 for burger and chips! Uckfield nearest town with Tesco, betting shop pharmacies banks etc about 5miles away.
All in all excellent site, husband recommends the Fishing there he had a great time.

We stayed here for 10 days in the autumn and enjoyed it. The road noise is the biggest downside, and there is only one spot for motorhomes, which is near the road, and our van actually rocked with the draught from the lorries going by. Despite that, the general atmosphere was good, and it was good value for money. Sue is friendly and the toilets are basic but clean and the shower was one of the hottest we've used even on expensive sites. The other reviews are all accurate too. Good value site - recommended.

Things we liked about the site:
Good security
Owner friendly and welcoming
Small, pretty site
Fishing lake (small but good for kids as well stocked)
Good access to Uckfield/Eastbourne
Super pub at the end of the road
Things we didn't like:
Poor drainage, pitches muddy
Noisy road alongside site
Toilets weren't cleaned regularly
Washing up sink in toilets
Only one toilet block per gender, each with only one shower (with curtain not door). In ladies only 3 toilets, one which didn't flush. Not enough for the number of campers and it wasn't overly busy whilst we were there.
Overall, we wouldn't go back unless it was improved. As most people were saying whilst we were there, this could be a beautiful site it just needs a bit of money spending on it to improve what's there and in particular more showers and a separate 'washing up' area.

As with some others who have reviewed this site it was our first camping experience. And a well chosen site, the owner was helpful and welcoming and the site itself was well kept.
Some pitches seemed a little close and had it been busier privacy may have been an issue but we found a small area towards the rear of the pitches.
The shower block was clean and facilities were free and protected by a pin code on the door. They were always fully stocked with toilet roll and only a short walk from the pitches.
A nice site for our first break would recommend to other first time campers.

This is a basic site with toilets, shower, washing up sink, recycling bins. It was our first attempt at camping, we stayed for 2 nights, the back field we had was pretty much up and down but was spacious, there were only 4 tents in the field including us. The fishing lake was good, my husband and son loved it and caught a fair amount of carp etc, though my daughter and I were quite bored after 6 hours sitting in a tent with our springer spaniel, unfortunately the dog wasn't allowed by the lake. The park is ok for a short break like we did but for longer would be too much, Uckfield is about 15 minutes in the car which is the nearest shopping area.
All in toll Sue the owner was very friendly and welcoming and saw us everyday to make sure everything was ok. I would return if I needed a short break.
GOOD POINTS
Very clean and tidy
Toilet block was kept clean (mop left out)
Fishing was good
BAD POINTS
Quite noisy at night from nearby road
Field not level
Long walking distance for water

A small site which offers clean facilities and the opportunity to get away from the bigger caravaning dominated sites. The owner - Sue - was friendly and helpful. We stayed in the non hookup area which was a huge field and recommend this as a simple and quiet site where you can have a barbeque and watch the sun go down. There is even a small fishing lake is fully stocked and even I managed to catch a few!

This was a lovely site, the owners were very friendly and sociable and could not do enough to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The site is really pretty in lovely countryside with lots to do nearby. The caravans had everything you could want and they supplied virtually everything including the washing up liquid! Our TV had a DVD player so it was great for the kids, not that they spent much time indoors as they were happy playing games in a field which was not used by campers. My husband is a keen fisherman and their lake is lovely.

We stayed here for one night and it was our first ever camping trip, so I don't have much to compare the site to! I can say though that we had a great time! The site is family run. We were greeted warmly and my nerves were quickly put at ease. The site was spacious and we were able to pick where to pitch our tent. The facilities included a toilet block with a shower and also washing up facilities and a washing machine. All were clean and well-maintained. Overall, our stay was really enjoyable.
