I would highly recommend this site. Received a warm welcome and personally shown to our pitch and shown the facilities.
Stayed with friends with a caravan (we camped) and the staff placed us together. Next to the water, we enjoyed a morning canoeing with a porpoise, much to our 5 year olds delight.
Facilities are good and clean, excellent laundry and washing up room. Beautiful area, however, we ended up leaving as hubby was eaten alive by midges.
Five star site, fabulous venison sausages from the site shop!

Resipole Campsite was another wonderful campsite on our trip down the West Coast of Scotland this summer.
We were greeted by Anne the warden when we arrived and were shown to the tent area where we were allowed to pitch wherever we liked.
I noticed reading through some of the other reviews that people are commenting about the road, yes there is a road along one edge of the site but I would not worth making an issue of it.
Toilet, shower and dish washing area all very clean and well kept.
Special thanks to Anne for helping out when my wife's father had an accident and possibly needed medical attention.

Great site lovely views - free wifi nice clean toilets and showers but only three showers but the night we were there there was an old Austin car club rally and the place was mobbed so there were queues in the morning (but that's probably not a normal august day!)
Nice little shop well stocked and staff/owner very helpful.
Good laundry always an necessity on a road trip!
Choice of grass or hard standing mostly flat
We were on pitch 14 unobstructed views of the loch great sunset
Its a bit of a journey to get there on the single track roads but worth it

We really liked this campsite. It’s in a lovely spot by Loch Sunart (the only reason we haven’t given the location 10/10 is because it’s right next to the road, but although it’s the main road in the area it is such a quiet and remote area that there is very little traffic) and ideal for those who like the outdoors – plenty of walking and water-based activities on offer.
We were there with our canoe and loved being able to launch from the campsites private slipway across the road. Loch Sunart itself was lovely for paddling – we saw plenty of seals and a couple of otters. It’s an incredibly peaceful and unspoilt, though it might not be everyone’s cup of tea for that very reason – there are no shops of pubs within walking distance.
The only downside is that some of the camping pitches are next to the road, but it was never a problem because it is such a quiet road and there is also a solid stone wall between the camping area and the road.
There were some other camping pitches a little further away from the road but it looked like they were next to a small stream – the midgies weren’t out when we were there so I can’t say whether it would be a problem in midgie season.
The campsite has a small shop but it had a reasonable selection of the basics, and the shop in Strontian (about a 15 min drive away), although not supermarket-size, has a good range of food. All the staff in the shop/reception area were very friendly and helpful.
The shower block was kept incredibly clean, although it was a little on the cold side. The washing up area is indoors and again was always clean. There is a small dog walking area off to the side of the campsite, which leads onto a lovely walk up the hills to the back of the campsite.
All in all a lovely campsite – perfect for those who like to get away from it all.

I have been going to Resipole farm campsite for many years, I visit the site at least once a year and although the site is busier now than when I first visited it I have never had anything to complain about.
The toilets and showers have always been clean the site is always tidy, the staff friendly and helpful, the small shop always there in case you need anything.
There are plenty of walks in the area, and lots of wildlife to see. The pub in Salen is well worth a visit, the meals are excellent and very reasonably priced.
If you are into walking, head West to Ardnamurchan lighthouse and the sands at Sanna Bay or take a fishing rod and catch your supper, a Bar-B-Que with fresh mackerel on a deserted beach while watching the sun go down takes a lot of beating, or if you are in luck, a cod from the rocks at Ardnamurchan Point.
The site has expanded over the years with some residential caravans and log cabins set back away from the tents and touring caravans.
I prefer to camp next to the little river so I can cool my bottle of wine and the other half can keep his cans of lager cool.
So if some day you are on the way to Fort William and you fancy a bit of peace and quiet for a change, jump on the Coran ferry and visit Resipole Farm you’ll not regret it.

This is a site at the gateway to heaven in my opinion. Positioned as it is on the shores of Loch Sunart every pitch has a view of the loch.
The pitches are of a generous size and easy to get in and out of. The toilets and showers have seen their best days but are clean and adequate with those annoying push-button showers.
The staff on site are very helpful and will try to answer any questions you may have about the site or the area in general.
Stayed for 3 nights and slept like a log each night even though we were pitched close to the road, it is not very busy at night.
Didn't use the shop but warden will order a daily paper for you if you ask early enough the previous day.
I'm sure we will be staying here again.

This is a lovely site on the side of Loch Sunart. It has a great dog walk up the hill behind site. The wardens were very friendly and helpful and the shop was well stocked considering its size. The facilities were clean although we mostly used our own. The nearest pub in Salen is a two mile walk (which we did do) and is well worth the trip. Good food. We also walked in the opposite direction - up the road to the hide from which you can see seals etc depending on the time of year. This is well worth visiting.

Spent four nights here and had spectacular views of the loch. The site was busy with lots of tourers and tents. Good reception with milk, bread etc open every day to 6pm with very helpful staff.
The toilet block was kept very clean and we never had to queue even though the site was busy. We took a walk through the site where there are also larger static caravans and log cabins although they are tucked away well behind the tourer park.
We did not notice any play areas for children, however any children we did see seemed to be having a great time with their bikes or scooters or on the water.
My husband was ill when we were at this site and the staff could not have been more helpful in advising us on where the nearest medical centre was, and all ending well with my husband having a case of 'man flue'. As we were confined to quarters we did not get out much but the little areas we did manage to see were beautiful and we we love to return again to explore further.
To get to this site we used the Corran Ferry which we were a bit apprehensive about as we had never taken the caravan onto a ferry before, however no problem and even although the queue seemed big we still managed to squeeze on and not too expensive at only £15 for a crossing.

The family had a great time here, the welcome was warm and friendly with great information available at all times. The Shower block was spotlessly maintained with hot water available all the time.
The shop had plenty of the essentially at reasonable prices with lots of local produce. Although the site had a lot of visitors (tourers mostly) there was plenty of room and we never felt crowded. The views are spectacular with many great walks close at hand.
The dreaded midge was out in force especially around the tree line and stream but never so bad as to put us off or as bad as some places we have stayed.
There is no 'rec' room so the kids had to make there own entertainment but that's part of being in a location like this. At the end of our stay everyone said they would come back and coming from an 11 and 14 year old that say's something.

Had it not been for the dreadful weather I am sure we would have had a great time on this site.
Location of our tent so as to be away from the potentially midgey stream area meant we were close to the road, but as traffic was light this didn't disturb us and the views over the loch were stunning! (In the event howling winds kept midges from being a nuisance.)
Friendly wardens on site, clean shower and loo blocks, good information and a neat little shop added up to a good site. Site is well maintained.
We prefer to park the car pretty close to the tent but this was not an option where we pitched as the car needed to be left on the hard standing area. Maybe just as well given the wet conditions.
Children liked the site; they could mooch round on their bikes and the loch beach was only a few steps away, but there were no special facilities for kids here.
Being out on the peninsula obviously means a lot of driving about but plenty of places of interest to access from the area.
We had to leave early because the weather was so foul - no refund available although we were offered a credit against any subsequent booking so we forfeited some of our camping fee.
