 Nice site, mostly flat pitchs, with own EHU, water supply and drainage. Helpfull warden, small shop,very clean and modern toilets. Microlite aerodrome nearby, sounded like a parade of mopeds going over head! not a problem tho. Cost us £14 for a Sat/Sunday night.

Mosswood is about a mile along Grimbles Lane well away from the main road and not far from Jack Berry’s racing stable. A stroll to the nearest pub is fifty or sixty minutes away so its a good idea to take along push bikes. You could reach Glasson Dock by bike in about 20 minutes.
The site itself is spacious and well laid out costing £14 per night per caravan. The toilet block is clean and modern with hot showers included in the nightly fee. The block was accessible by key which needed a £10 returnable deposit. The site warden was very helpful and friendly. Newspapers were available from the site shop but had to be ordered the day before.
There were plenty of room for families with young children. The kids had nearby fields available in which they could run and play which meant that it was still peaceful around the pitches.
For a quiet relaxing weekend it is the ideal site. If you want amenities within walking distance choose somewhere else.
