First trip out for Mrs skybluekirky in this van to try and work it all out. Stayed for 2 nights and wanted to stay longer! Lovely site, friendly owners, nice walk to pub or club in local village. Pub doesn't take dogs so if canine friends are along you'll need to sit outside. Lots of info given by owners on arrival. Went to a nearby disused railway for some great walks at the side of the River Avon. Shops are a drive away, but we knew that before we went so were well stocked up. We will definitely be back

Just spent two weeks at Monks Barn Brilliant the weather was very good,
Only two minutes from Stratford upon Avon. There is so much to see and do in Stratford, Plus all the big stores for the shopping it is so central,
Within one hour drive you can visit Warwick castle and the Cotswolds, so many lovely little villages to see,
Mr & Mrs Williams were very helpful and we will be going again, very pleasant stay.

We spent 3 nights here in March as it was a great location for us to meet family (halfway between Merseyside & Sussex).
It was £10 per night & £9.50 for over 65s.
There is a CL site with 5 pitches, an overspill (which we stayed on) with another 7 or so pitches and a rally field.
Monks Barn is a working farm and while we were there it was lambing time which was great for our little 3-year old who enjoyed the freedom to run around with no problem at all.
All CL pitches and most of the overspill have electric hook-ups (I think the rally field does as well).
There is a shower & toilet block. The shower is 20p for 6 mins which is more than reasonable. You can have washing done by the owner which I think is £3.50 per load. There are also fresh eggs, jams & honey for sale.
A short walk over the nearby field and you will find the River Stour.
All in all one of the best CL sites we've been to and we will definitely be returning.

Well kept, level CL. Mainly grass pitches but small hardstanding area for bad weather. Shower and toilet, as mentioned before, are a bit dated but clean and adequate (small charge for shower). Homemade cakes available which we enjoyed sampling. Also free range eggs.
Nice pub within walking distance across the fields.
Well placed to visit Stratford. Drive to the country park a few minutes up the road and then walk along the river into Stratford.
Only slight downside is some traffic noise as the site is just off a main A road, however this would not stop us going back again.

I don't think we could have got a more convenient site. Only a 5 min drive to town centre. It is possible to park quite easily but park in marina car park - only £4 all day.
The site itself is well spaced out. Plenty of room for each pitch, shower block with 20p shower were in reasonable condition, a bit dated but still functional and clean. We paid £54 for 6 nights - bargain.
At Mickleton - a 20 min drive from this site we had a night at the famous pudding club. Well worth a visit, but only have a light lunch that day.
Would recommend this site as a good base for warwick, stratford, leamington spa etc.

Have returned today from this lovely site, we had a week here in scorching weather. There are two areas for caravans and a larger rally field some distance away, a shower (20p) for plenty of hot water and enough time to shower, wash hair & rinse without hurrying, and a toilet & basin.
A lovely walk from the farm through the fields by the river takes you to the village of Clifford Chambers, pretty & with a pub for a much needed drink after the walk in hot weather.
So much to see & do in Stratford-upon-Avon & Warwick is nearby too. Several National Trust properties close by too.
We are keen to return as we enjoyed our stay so much, oh & there are eggs, jam & cakes for sale as well. Can't be bad!

I would say that this is the best cl site we've been to for a long time for the price. It has a toilet and shower at 20p, lovely views and walking distance from stratford, as is the pub As for the owners they are there if you want them. Pitches are well spaced out and the grass is cut short and gathered up and all for £9.00 a night. There is also a rally field and best of all home produce available such as eggs and jam, will definitely come again.

A regular visitor to this site. The owners are welcoming and there is fresh home produce available daily. It is within walking distance of Stratford town centre -- all be it a long walk which can take you across fields and by the river, but never the less very pleasant on a summer day. Alternatively you can walk via the road that again meets up with the river for the last part and is a real treat. Can be a bit noisy with the road traffic though.

October 2003 Pitches are well spaced out around a large field and the rally field has nice views. The site has hookups and good water & drainage facilities, with a basic toilet and shower block.
The site is very handy for the town (although too far to walk) but the downside is that there is a lot of road noise.
