Brilliant location, almost in centre of Warwick [lovely town, lots on] great site to take a night off from self-catering. Signposted once found the entrance to the racecourse itself. Bigger than expected, good size. Booked direct through The Caravan Club and we were expected and all information came through and correct. On site team helpful and lots of local information available. Quiet- racecourse on one side, fields on the other. All usual amenities, clean & well maintained. Felt secure & thought the price was very good.

Arrived late and in the dark, for a 1 night stop over to attend a seminar at the course. Unfortunately the signage to the site is not the best, I didn't realise at the time that you had to drive across the racetrack. However having found the site I got a very friendly and helpful welcome by one of the new wardens, having decided which hardstanding pitch would be best to park my tag axle motorhome they kindly walked me to it.
As previously mentioned in other reviews it is a relatively small site and the facilities are comparable with the size and are 'dated' but clean and warm with plenty of hot water for the powerful showers, great!
Site is very neat and tidy, well kept and idealy placed for a short walk into town. Being in the middle of the racecourse it is quiet and peaceful.
Definitely worth a repeat visit when I have more time.

We booked this site last minute for one night only as we wanted to visit family in the area. We were informed that we could only have a non-awning pitch and that it would probably be on tarmac. However, when we arrived there was a pitch available on gravel with a grass area at the side, so we did not have to pitch on the tarmac 'car park' at the front of the site overlooking the racecourse. The site is small and the ladies toilet block is also small and a bit dated with only 2 showers, but it was clean and the shower was lovely and hot, so no complaints. The site is in a fab location for walking into Warwick only a few minutes, were there are plenty of shops and pubs (dogs are allowed inside). There is no dog walk on site but it doesn't matter because there is a massive field next to the site were dogs can run off lead and also you can walk around the racecourse. We will definitely return to this site.

We stayed on this site for 2 nights as it was only 20 minutes from the location of a dog show we were attending.
It is situated within the racecourse with access over the race track.
The site itself is very well kept with a mixture of grass and hardstanding pitches - some actually on the tarmac next to the race track. On race days the tarmac is used for race spectators so you couldn't pitch there. You are also restricted on your arrival and departure on these days.
TV reception wasn't as good as would expect and we struggled to get all channels and there was no WiFi on site.
The shower block is small, a little dated but very clean with some of the best showers we have had. There was a motorhome service point and water points dotted around the site. Wardens were very helpful and friendly. There is no play area for children.
There is a lovely walk round the inside of the racecourse and past the golf club - very popular with both dog walkers and joggers. It is also only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Warwick, a lovely place with lots of shops and places to eat. The castle is close by but we didn't get chance to visit. Not sure if dogs are allowed in the grounds though.
This is certainly an ideal site for us when at dog shows in the area and we will certainly be back.

To Find Site:- Leave M40 at junction 15 and take A429 towards Warwick. In about a mile watch for a left turn into Shakespeare Avenue signed to the Racecourse. At the end of the road turn right into Hampton Street. Continue past Racecourse Stands and turn left into Bread and Meat Close, from here the entrance to the site is in view across the racecourse. If coming from the Coventry direction on the A46 bypass continue to junction 15 and then as above to avoid coming through town.
The Warwick Racecourse site has 58 pitches on a mix of grass, hardstandings and tarmac. When booking the non awning pitches they are generally on hardstandings, either stone or tarmac. Depending on conditions motorhome are usually accommodated on the hardstandings. Compared to other racecourse sites we have visited this one is a little more formally laid out.
The main facilities are located in the reception building including a small laundry room which doubles up as a information point and behind the office is the toilet/shower block which whilst kept perfectly clean is of an older design. A washing up area and grey and toilet waste points are situated around the outside of this building. There is only the one service point and one other tap at the other end of the site. For motorhomes there is a grey water dump point and a tap for refilling fresh water tanks (no hose provided). Recycling provision is at the site entrance. Access to the site will be restricted on Race Days.
The major advantage of this site is its close proximity to the centre of Warwick which is a short walk away and the Castle a little further on. There are many restaurants and takeaways in the town. For food shopping the is an M&S Food store near the Bus Station. For excursions further afield Royal Leamington Spa and Stratford upon Avon are not far and there is the option of using public transport to these places. The actual Racecourse provides the opportunities for walks and for exercising dogs.

Just got back from a lovely 4 days at this site. Only 5 minutes from the m40 & 10 minutes walk into the centre of Warwick we visited Stratford upon Avon which is 30 minutes drive away & worth a visit. The site is mainly grass pitches which are mostly level & well maintained, & there are some hardstanding pitches there are a few water points around the site the toilets are nice & clean. We will be returning to this site again

No one forewarns you that the site is placed within the inner ring of the actual race trace at Warwick and access is obtained by actually crossing the race track. The ‘access road’ to the site is removed during any race meeting. On race days this means the road is removed prior to a meeting (10 am) and replaced after the meeting (+5 pm). Anyone using this site needs to check this out; otherwise on race days you are either trapped or excluded from the site.
The site itself is only small with 56 pitches, grass, hardstandings or tarmac (ie. Car park area), with very dated toilets, only one sink for washing up and ‘jobs-worth’ Wardens striking strictly to the 12 o’clock access rules (interesting on race days as they are off duty when the road is re-laid!).
Putting the sites ‘interests’ aside, it is located very close to the centre of Warwick and the delights of the town, castle, river and canal. An additional benefit, public footpaths criss-cross the inner race track area (which is huge), making for easy and accessible routes to the local area, plus providing a convenient dog walk directly from the site.
The site has no WiFi access – strange considering this is a town site besides a race track!
I could imagine it would be a great site if you like to have a flutter on the horses.

This site is in a great location only 5 minutes walk into Warwick. They pitches are mainly grass but well maintained. The hard standing pitches are right up to the race course in, what looks like, a car park. There is only one grey water and chemical disposal point for the whole site which was a bit inconvenient. The showers were very clean with loads of hot water and no push button.
The Fourpenny Shop Hotel just down the road is a good pub but doesn't do meals at night. There is a Wetherspoons in town which was always very busy but good value. Warwick itself is a lovely town. We did not go into the castle as reviews seem to imply that it is more like a theme park and it is very expensive. However, if you want to go ask the wardens and they will give you a 'buy one get one free' voucher.
We had a walk to St Nicholas' park. It is a huge park with something for everyone. It has hire boats, fishing, water play area and beautiful gardens and a nice riverside walk. We also went to Hill Close gardens. It was free entry for heritage weekend. Whilst it was quite pretty I don't think it was worth paying to get in. Would definitely recommend this site.

This is a great little site in the heart of Warwick. The site is within the racecourse, with entrance over the track. The site is small & well maintained & the wardens are ever so friendly & helpful. When we stayed it was following some heavy rain which meant some of the pitches were inaccessible.
The wardens were more than happy to help with advice on the best way to access the pitches etc. The toilet block was dated, but was always clean & suitable for the size of the site.
The town centre is only 5 - 10 minute walk from site & has lots of little shops, pubs & takeaways.
The towns of Leamington Spa & Stratford upon Avon are within a few minutes drive from the site. We stayed here as we were attending a concert at Warwick Castle & it is ideally located about 10 minute walk away.
There was a race meeting during our stay which did mean that there was no vehicle access from 10am until it was finished, but with so much within walking distance it wasn't an issue.

We chose this site as a one night stop over on our way to Wales. It's a great site and is fantastic for a one night stop as well as a longer stay. It is within the racecourse with a great circular walk around the course which is about 1 1/2 miles. Also within the race course is a golf course and driving range and some scrub land which is ideal for letting dogs off the lead.
All facilities were as you would expect for caravan club sites.
The town is right on your doorstep, numerous pubs, restaurants and shops. There is a stainsburys within a 5 minute walk as well as an M&S food.
It's a charming old town which is lovely to walk around, and Warwick castle is within a 10 minute walk.
You are perfectly positioned for exploring other lovely towns such as Stratford, Leamington and Henley in Arden.
I would recommend Mr India the Indian restaurant close to the site. It doesn't have a licence so take your own drinks.
If you are departing on a race day you need to leave at 10am or midday depending on whether it's a day or evening meeting.
A lovely site that I highly recommend.
