My partner and I have visited this site twice now and we will be frequent visitors in the future. She had never been camping before and I was a little nervous how she would take to it.
She loved it.
The view when we opened the flaps first thing in the morning was incredible, the sun was coming up over the Snowdon range and the field was full of rabbits how much better could it be ???
As mentioned in previous reviews the site isnt what you could call state of the art but having said that the toilets and showers were clean and the site was spotless.
I would reccomend this place to anyone, first timers and seasoned campers alike.

Our one mistake was to visit this site for the August bank holiday weekend! need I say anymore. We arrived on the Thursday evening to miss the rush - wrong again. The site even on Thursday was packed, with no hook ups left (you 'cant' book a hookup in advance). To say the units were packed in like sardines is an understatement - there were tents and caravans squeezed in places they shouldn't be, towards the back of the site they were even blocking access to lower fields - I would love to know what the official capacity for this site was, and the actual numbers on site. There was a warden booking you on site and you had to pay upfront for a pitch (with no refunds if you cant find one to your liking) they issue you with a swipe card to get you on and off site when you need to, we toured the site for a suitable flat site (most of the site is on a good slant but we managed to find a reasonable flat one). There was no control over where to pitch and most units were almost touching. Caravans and motorhomes were so close you could hardly squeeze between them (lets just hope they were good friends) - if there had have been a fire the lot would have gone up - very safe (not)! The toilet blocks on site were disinfected and cleaned at approx 7am in the morning and not touched again until the next morning - you can imagine the state they were in by mid afternoon, the loo roll came out of the arc, remember the old shiny stuff from school? so take you own if you go along with a peg for your nose. There are only 2 blocks on site with 3 loos, 2 sinks and 3 showers, the showers take 50p for approx 5 mins and are quite dirty with no where to hang your clothes. The town is nice with a few shops - a good sized co-op and a spar - the beach is lovely and has a good sized car park which is £2 for the day. Also has a cafe for food on the go, the beach is lovely and clean with lots of space for the kids. Apparantly the site is lovely if you don't come on a bank holiday, but unfortunately I won't be giving it a second chance. Charges for the site are £5 per adult, £3 per child, £2 per second car and if you are lucky enough to get a hook up they are free.

Spent 2 nights at Golden Sunset. Staff friendly, always someone on site if help needed. Price was very good £32 for 5 of us in a tent for 2 nights. Lovely walk down the rocks to the sea where hubby spent hours fishing off rocks. Kids loved the Seal that pinched dads fish ! Showers free clean but basic. Views are unbelievable.could wake up to that every morning. Beach a 20 min walk or 5 min drive away which again is a lovely sandy beach hours of fun to be had. All in all great site, will be visiting again in August .

Great site with good if not luxurious facilities. The site is really spaced out the top field being families only, nearer the beach there's a new shower block with free hot showers. Didn't use the top facilities but their showers are 50p. It got a bit breezy for our tent so find a sheltered spot if it's windy. Also if you arrive and the warden's not about you can just pitch up and pay him later - there's a barrier system but he opens them up when he's out. Cost £5 per adult per night - excellent value. Only gripe is no mirrors in shower block and hard loo roll - take your own. Also go down the path to the beach and walk round to the sandy beach on the rocks - it's great.

Nice relaxing site. Staff friendly and helpful. Toilet and shower blocks leave a lot to be desired but they are generally clean but a bit lacking. My only real gripe is that there is no motorhome waste point. Worth a visit though. Great views and an easy walk to the beach.

Fantastic Site. Very friendly and helpful staff, well kept site with fab views of bay and mountains. Cost £5 each, toilets and showers clean (50p for approx 10mins) Will definitely go back! Views perfect, except for group of noisy campers who pitched directly in front of us, so we moved up the hill to have a different view for 2nd night!

I have stayed on this site nine times now in my tourer caravan, and will be returning again this weekend. I have found it to be very relaxing and the views are fantastic. My visits have been over the past seven years and I havent got tired of the place; and there is always a friendly welcome. My own children loved it and now my grandchildren love it. Everything is close to hand and the local pub is great. The chip shop is very good and the garage accross the road sells everything. There is a local post office and chemist, and plenty of other shops.
The site itself is in a great locasion just a short downhill stroll from a fantastic beach, with a couple of nice seaside shops I even took a friend to have a look, whilst out for a drive one day and was dissapointed that I had'nt brought the caravan and had to return home. This place has that effect. Yes it is basic but the views compensate for that, and besides thats what caravanning is all about. Well worth a visit!

Site basic, no play area and showers could be better but fantastic views. There are 2 parts to the site, the hardstanding on the main site and the camping fields. You can't pre book on the camping fields which is the only down side, so its just pot luck but more often than not you can get a pitch.
Literally just off the main site is a nice pub, garage/shop, cafe, indian, caravan spares, 2 chip shops. The site great for older kids who can wander off and explore but for small ones there is not an on-site play area but the is one just along the main road. Cafe on the rocks over looking sea is beautiful for breakfast but quite expensive, worth it though when the sun is shining!
The site great base for visiting all over Angelsey and its a lovely walk over the sand or cliffs to st davids bay where there is a pub and play area.
All in all a good site with outstanding views as far as the Great Orme, I would highly recommend it!

Having visited this campsite two years ago, we specifically came again because we enjoyed it so much. This year, we were not allowed fires which was a huge disappointment, but on the whole a great campsite. The facilities are not luxurious, or particularly clean, its a 50p for the showers, and site is generally sloping. However, the inexpensive and spacious camping fields with pitch anywhere camping, sea rocks to wander over or fish off, and fantastic views over the bay, more than make up for the lack of amenities. The nearby beach is clean, and unspoilt and there's a convenient cliff walk to the beach over a stile in the corner of the bottom field.
