We made a group booking for this campsite, we had about 8 tents in total, and were given a huge space to ourselves to fit into. Pleasant site, lake for fishing, and exceptionally well stocked shop/post office (cash withdrawals if you have the right bank account!). Very friendly. Also great pub just next door, and the village hall had a Hog Roast on while we were there, so not bad! Only comment would be that contrary to one of the other reviews, there was no toilet in the tent field, and we had to walk to the farm for toilets/showers. And yes, the showers really just were a trickle. 2 showers and two loos was not a lot between the number of people on the site! All in all, we liked it a lot, and some of the group are heading back there this May Bank Holiday :)

Spent a couple of nights at this site over the May bank holiday weekend. We were situated in a separate field opposite the Manor House away from all the Caravans which was nice as there we pretty much had the whole field to ourselves. However, although this field had its own tap and toilet we had to venture across the road to the main site to use the showers and shop.
Showers were more of a trickle but were warm and did the job and didn't cost a penny.
The pub in the Village (The George) was very accommodating for the 11 of us and the man kindly kept the pub open for us on the Sunday evening when he normally has an evening off! Sadly he doesn't serve food but was very helpful in recommending various restaurants and takeaways in the village of Deddington just 2 miles away. I can definitely recommmend a visit to Pudding-Face where they specialise in home made pies! Get there early to avoid disappointment.
All in all a pleasant weekend (despite the rain and muddy field) and all at a bargain price of £5 a night!

May 2005 We had a 3-night stay on the 2nd bank holiday, we were in a group of 4 tents, spaces had been clearly marked out for us and there was ample room to pitch all the tents together. The site was peaceful, relaxed and very attractive. The Cygnets on the fishing pond were a particular treat.
As the campsite is in a valley there was sometimes quite a breeze, but it wasn't too bad. The shop/post office on site is great, it's open until teatime and sells quite a selection of things, and you can also get bacon rolls etc in the morning and cash. We had some lovely walks from the site and there are some picturesque villages near by. There is also a pub in the village, but it doesn't serve food.
The toilets on the site as already mentioned are unisex, which isn't too much of a problem and they are reasonably clean, but the showers are not great and although I would definitely return to the site I probably wouldn't stay for longer than a couple of nights (unless the washing facilities improved a bit). There is a good recycling policy on the site and we found the locals very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this site.

May 2004 We visited over the bank-holiday
Couple of additional points: 1) The toilets and showers are uni-sex - that is two of each in the same room. A bit unusual but perfectly okay once you're over the inital "Erm, I'm not sure about this"!
2) They open an extra field at bank holiday times so they have much greater capacity BUT they seem to be popular and we were lucky to get a cancellation spot.
The advice is to book - especially outside bank-hols when the capicity is very limited.
There were a couple of large camper-vans (or whatever they are called these days) on site, so I guess they are accepted too.
We enjoyed our visit - saw the crescent shaped Venus in the evening sky and a barn owl roosting in a nearby tree.
We'll be back :)

April 2004 I thought this site deserved a listing and review on here as I had trouble finding details of it anywhere on the internet, despite knowing it existed as it appears on the OS map of the area.
The site is fairly small, quiet and in a very pretty location in fields next to the old Manor House, surrounded by ponds which seemed to be very popular with fishermen. The campsite office is also the village post office and shop, which is open 7 days a week and stocks quite a sophisticated range of goodies, all packed into what looks like an old shed from the outside. The owner is very helpful and a mine of information - not all of it useful but quite entertaining!
Sites cost £6 for electicity, £5 without. There are loos and showers in the farm yard next to the shop, and also a washing up sink - it has to be said these are pretty basic, but kept as clean as possible I imagine.
The village is on the Oxfordshire Cycle Route, and is in a great location for cycling and walking - not a site for those who like sites with all the bells and whistles, kiddies playgrounds and bouncy castles etc, but ideal for people who want somewhere peaceful and simple, in lovely countryside. There is also a pub just up the road that has a kleptomanic labrador. What more could you want?!
