We found this site to be very disappointing having stayed at another caravan club site recently. To be fair it was a bank holiday so very busy, however, the pitches meant you had someone in front of you and to the sides of you -very closed in. In my opinion it is not that suitable for children as there is not playing space for them and they were not really allowed to bike/scooter on the paths either. There is a playground (which states for toddlers in their leaflet)but says on gate for 5-10yrs only and it is great for 5-10 yrs but no room for ball games etc.
Im afraid to say that I agree with others that the noise of the cars/races on the track did grate on us in the end.
The site was very windy and not sheltered at all. On the up side the toilet block was always clean and plenty of space in the showers, we never had a problem with availability of the showers either. It was hard work not having dog walk on site but we managed .

We stopped for a 5 night break on this site. There was plenty of room which surprised me for July but I was glad because pitches looked quite cramped so an empty pitch between was nice. Toilet block was brand new and very nice and the kids play park was also new and now on site down in a bottom corner. It was a nice walk along the sea front into great Yarmouth but was quite a long way. Great Yarmouth had loads to do for the kids and plenty of shops. The only thing I would warn about on this site is the early morning noise from the race track, most mornings around 6.30am we had them watering the track and cutting grass which towards the end of the week wore a bit thin, and on race days moving on and off site is limited but didn't cause us any problems.

The site is flat, well drained, and well kept. In the middle of G.Yarmouth racecourse, access is limited during race meetings, but times of entry and exit are well posted and caused us little problem. The toilet/shower block is kept clean, although, as when we were there, the site was fully booked, you may have to queue to shower as there was only six cubicles. The site is at the north end of Yarmouth beach, a good 30min walk to the main resort, but only 5min to the nearest stretch of sand and sea. The main drawback, is it's proximity to a heliport, and the ensuing noise. Hardly noticeable during the day, it did continue until late ( 11:30pm ) some nights and started as early as 06:45 some mornings. The site is well positioned for exploring the East coast and the Norfolk Broads.

Very quiet site not kid friendly, the play area is across the race course and you have to go with an adult. Toilets very clean but they are closed everyday between 10.30 till 12.00 and there are no more toilets /showers. The site is right in the middle of the course and is sometimes difficult to enter and leave the site when race meetings are on and you can only walk across the track can't get across by car which we did know about before we arrived. No shop on site and very little around and you need to travel by car to get to places

Lovely flat site. Plenty of space. Sspotlessly clean showers & toilets. Sand dunes at the end of the road. Pub & restaurant across the road about 200 yards. Shop a little further. Nice cycle or stroll in Yarmouth. Will visit again

We've stayed on this site several times and always found it to be kept clean and tidy. The toilets/showers are very good but they do tend to shut them for an hour at around 10am everyday for cleaning, a real pain if you are a late riser. There is a small play area for the kids and that's about it. We often walk to town, about 1/2 hour down the seafront. There is an erratic seafront bus service but we discovered that it is the same price if you get a taxi (2 adults, 3 kids) The nearest shop is the petrol station on the Caister Road, the local ones on the estate over the road seem to be boarded up but the chip shop was open. There is a pub along the road opposite to the site entrance but I've never been in it It is a nice quiet site to use as a base, though not particularly cheap when compared to commercial sites such as Breydon Water

July 2004 A clean, neat, tidy and flat site, with many of the pitches quite spacious. Bland. Sandy soil – bring sand pegs for awning.
Nothing, however, is nearby – no local shops, no local pub; the beach is ¼ mile walk to the promenade, and another ¼ mile across the sparta covered sand dunes. (And this is the nearest place to exercise dogs – tough if mutt gets taken short in the night.)
Great Yarmouth beach and holiday centre, and the main shopping area and huge market are about two miles away. Normal car access would be down the straight promenade, but can be pleasantly walked on the river path, from nearby Bure Park to near the market place.
Some noise from nearby heliport and Thursday night speedway.
