We have stayed on this site many times, ten units only and adult only. We have always found the owners very friendly and helpful, yes it is close to the A38 and you can hear the traffic mainly during the morning rush hour and late afternoon. They have had drainage problems and have done work to improve this but we have never had any problems on our stays. The loos and showers are fine for the size of the site and are kept spotless. This is a great little site as a base for exploring Somerset and into North Devon and also as a stop over for longer trips to South Devon and Cornwall. Highly recommended.

We have just spent a week at this site and found it to be an excellent base for exploring Somerset and the edge Exmoor.
The owner was very welcoming and although the pitch was allocated we got the impression if we hadn’t liked the given pitch he would have been happy to change it.
The only site rules were ‘no groundsheets’ and ‘dogs on leads/clear up after them’ apart from that you could arrange yourself on your pitch however you wanted, which was nice, and two cars on pitch was fine.
The maximum is 10 on site and even when full it wasn’t crowded.
Very easy access to the M5, It is close to the A38 but the noise never bothered us. The speedway on Friday nights can be a little noisy though! Adults only meant it was generally very quiet, and there was no late night noise apart from the road.
No shop on site but there is an Asda in Highbridge which is only a couple of miles, and a good Sainsbury’s 6 miles away in Bridgwater. The Orchard pub in Highbridge does a nice carvery too.
The site did become waterlogged part way through the week, but it had been very rainy and wet. The owners quickly closed the site to new arrivals to ensure it didn’t churn up.
Two showers and two toilets meant the occasional wait but they were regularly cleaned and always had hot water.

This site is handy for a stop over as it's very close to the M5. It's even closer to the A38, too close. It is also very poorly drained and has only 2 loos and showers which are not great. It might be a bit better in dry conditions and would be a handy touring centre. Highbridge Caravans is just down the road, well worth a look around.
