This is a Caravan and Camping club site. On arrival we met Alec the chap who books you in. Though cheerful he didn't advise us on anything on the site except that the toilets were down at the bottom of the site. Full stop! No mention of needing tokens for showers or where we could empty our ''toilet'' from our motorhome. No mention of where the nearest shops were.Quite uninformative really. No leaflets visible about the site, or where the nearest tourist attractions were. Very disappointing, especially as it was a CCC site. Toilets and showers were extremely clean and well looked after and the site was very quiet. Is 50p the norm for showers at this sort of site? I think it's a bit expensive. Hook up and electrics were fine.

Stayed for a week at the site, was parked up on grassy area around 21 pitches on that side I think, anyway was not a busy. Apparently toilets and showers are over other side of site, used own. Overall very clean site, no problems. Site appears to be looked after by chap called Alec, who is very helpful and polite. Would definitely use again either whilst working for week or so in area or just want a get a way.

Quiet site - it was full of caravans in the main but we managed to find a soft bit of grass for our tent. No shops or anything else on site - which might be what you're after. Toilets are adequate but you have to buy tokens for the showerblock and you'll have to scrub yourself quickly. For entertainment, turn left at the entrance, all the way to the end. Turn right and you'll come across the Friary school if you fancy Squash, Badminton or Swimming. Carry on past the entrance and you'll soon reach the Hedgehog which is the nearest pub. The road opposite the Friary entrance is the Stafford road, continue down this for Morrisons supermarket and The Feathers, The Fountain, and The George. If you need any camping equipment (get in your car) turn right at the entrance, turn right at the end of the road and drive for a few miles and you'll find a garden centre with camping stuff on the left.

I stayed at this site on about fourteen different occasions in early to mid 2006 (one night each time), I enjoyed every visit. The site is pretty quiet with no entertainment facilities or play areas for children, but it does have decent toilet facilities (ladies, gents and disabled) and a good shower in each (50p for about 5 mins!) There seemed to be one member of staff living on site, he was always friendly and very welcoming. There is an area of hard-standing for caravans and Motor-homes at the bottom of the site and a large field at the top of the site (the site is on the side of a hill but all pitches are flat), between the two is an area suitable for tents which also doubles up as a heli-pad (don't worry; you'll be warned if a helicopter is due!) The site is very well maintained, clean and tidy. The ground is a little stoney in places but it's not a problem. The site is on the outskirts of Lichfield and not too far from Cannock Chase.
