Great little 5 van site. Good location for the motorway and access isn't a problem.
Margaret was lovely, very welcoming and trusting (we didn't pay until we were all but through the gate). The site is well laid out and is very well kept, as is the B&B - loved the gardens!
Facilities comprise of electric shower, urinal, separate toilet and sink area with clean toilets etc. Also there is an information point with menus/magazines and you have the usual waste water / chemical disposal etc across a little bridge.
Weather was fab, which always helps. Note the comments about the motorway and the train track but that didn't spoil things for us, our attention was taken off these by the stream which runs through the site and listening to the drivers tooting each other at the canal bridge as they crossed!
All in all a great site, will definitely go back.

This is a lovely site, very low key & Margaret is a friendly host. The site is nicely laid out & well located for walking in the area. We will definitely be returning.
The pitches are a good size with hardstanding which is always good with the rainy Lancashire weather!
The toilets are very clean & there is also a hot shower.
The site is adult only which makes for a nice quiet break.

3rd visit to this site, which should speak for itself. Wonderful heated facilities ( shower and toilet) kept spotlessly clean by Margaret the owner, who bends over backwards to make your stay perfect, nothing is to much trouble for her or her husband Mick.
Lots of tourist info, menus etc available. Maps and walking guides free to borrow.Hook ups.Hard standings. Open all year. Recycling bins.
As for the motorway / railway noise I think the last review is a little harsh, you can hear a distant hum in the background if the wind is in the west, I believe it is a bit noisier if the wind is in the east, but the site make up for that in being so well kept and no children(adult only site).
Garstang is a lovely town with lots of good pubs, resturant, shops and take aways. Ideal area for walking, cycling. Very handy for explore the coast (30 min drive) or hills (10 min drive). Canal 200 yrds away
I would recommend this site to anybody and have booked another 2 long weekends for 2010

A very nice little site, easy to find and with good facilities, good value at £10 per night. The only gripe was the motorway and railway noise but there's not a lot that can be done about that, short of earplugs. Garstang has all you need, including a Sainsbury's and lots of pubs, but the best pub is the one near the canal, down the A6 towards Preston, lovely to sit outside by the canal on a warm summer night. That said, there is what looks like a very handy CL called Old Duncombe House just down the road, on the A6, so will probably try this instead in future.

Fantastic site - very clean and the owners are really approachable nothing seems to be too much trouble. POINT TO NOTE THIS IS A GREEN CHEMICAL SITE. The owners have put in their own sanitation unit. Very handy for Garstang 2.5 miles and the local bus passes the bottom of the lane. Really enjoyed our stay and will be going back soon! Lovely clean toilet block with shower. Smashing place to pitch up and either cycle or walk there's so much to do and see. Garstang's got Sainsbury's Booths and a variety of shops which one can peruse and a small indoor market. Plenty of pubs for meals surround this site too.

What a lovely little CL site. Bit tight on space especially if you wanted to put up an awning then there's no room for your car. (Pitch 3 is the largest) That said we loved this site. We were made very welcome by Margaret. There's one building that houses the ladies and gents toilet along with the one shower. So only one person in at a time. It was immaculate and we never had to queue. The dog walk is off site. We walked to Garstang via the road (It had been raining and the canal tow path was too muddy) it's about 2.5 miles and all flat. The pubs/hotels are extremely dog friendly. There's a pub at the end of Little Stubbins lane (less than .5 of a mile) It's called the Brock Holes Arms. An absolute MUST for Sunday dinner The portions were enormous and roast beef dinner was only £4.40. (not sure if this pub is dog friendly) We will certainly return. So much to see and do.

Little gem of a site. 5 van CL only. Hardstanding with grass between pitches. Newly mown when we got there and very tidy. Some background noise from motorway and rail line but this did not detract from the experience for us.
! toilet for each ladies and Gents and 1 shower. Very clean. Lots of tourist info available, places of interest, pub menus!
We had horrendous rain but site did not become boggy, would not hesitate to book again.

We got a warm welcome from Margeret. The site was great with clean toilet & shower. Garstang not to far away, about 5 minutes in a car and Barton Grange garden centre where you can buy your fruit and veg. Try it you will not be disappointed.

Superb little site. Spotless shower & toilet, the use of which is included in the site fee.
Adults only, so peace reigns! Garstang is a short (30 min.) walk along the Lancaster canal, with it's numerous shops pubs etc.
The real highlight though is the Forest of Bowland AONB in which the site is situated, it really is beautiful. In my opinion, it is the equal of the Dales or the Peak District, but without the crowds. All in all, a little gem.
