Great site, very relaxed and friendly. Site is close to river, great walks, cycle tracks and Innerleithen with at least one decent pub selling real ale! Yes there is a (well kept) housing estate close by, but the campsite itself is well set back from this and with views of gorse covered hillsides. Facilities were clean and fine. We will definitely return.

THIS IS A FAB SITE!
Made a last minute booking for the Easter weekend. As every other site in the Borders area was fully booked and there was only one other (positive)review of the site, I didn't really have particularly high expectations.
You drive through a housing scheme to get to the site which adds to that initial feeling of uncertainty. The site is right on the edge of the village, on the banks of the Tweed. The village itself has enough decent facilities that you don't feel the need to embark on any lengthy drives to stock up. Innerleithen isn't as picturesque as the neighbouring Peebles but it has its own charms. I walked to the shops a couple of times through the aforementioned housing scheme and everyone I passed smiled, said hello and exchanged the odd pleasantry.
From the site the river walk is fabulous and there are loads of options for cycling on the cycle routes which runs alongside the site. There are also plenty of more challenging walks and climbs accessible from the site. The fishing looked great too.
At £57 for 3 nights on a Bank Holiday weekend 2 Adults + 3 kids(1 infant wasn't charged for) it seemed pretty good value to me. There is a £1 charge for the showers, but you get plenty of time. There is only one sink for dishes inside each of the toilets but surprisingly it seemed more than adequate.
The site is generally pleasant, and well maintained, the owners are constantly working away, and most importantly the toilets were always clean. The site is a mix of statics and touring pitches. The statics are a mixed bag some of which look like they have been there for decades, which adds to the attractiveness and character of the site as well as the unusual pods which are a talking point. We got talking to a couple of the static owners who were very friendly, one gave the kids some flying balloons which kept them amused for hours.
Adding to the previous review about Brian and Linda being helpful, I couldn't agree more. It was our first outing of the season so as expected there were a few missing items. I'd forgotten the hose for filling up the water carrier, and was looking to buy a replacement. Brian found a piece of hose with connectors on either end, cut it in half, sent his son to attach the hose to the tap and gave me the other half. Half an hour later one of the mudguards on my sons bike came off, within ten minutes Brian had found a nut to fit. An hour later someone drove over one of the power posts knocking the power out for most of the touring section, it was fixed within half an hour. I was left with the feeling that nothing was too much bother.
This site is a family friendly, safe site and is a cracking base for exploring the better known towns and villages. We'll definitely be back.

Arrived on a glorious sunny day and was met by Brian and Linda the site owners. Never met a couple who were more friendly and helpful. The site itself is located on the edge of town yet secluded. A mere stones throw from the river tweed with loads of fantastic walks. Toilet blocks were very adequate and kept very clean although £1.00 for a shower.
There was a wee co-op in town for groceries with a new one being built. Also a chip shop and a chinese takeaway. Plenty of pubs. A site I would hurry back to.
