We stayed here with 2 toddlers and they have been talking about their stay there ever since.
We have booked again to feed the chickens, lambs and walk along the sea front.
The pub ( Smugglers Arms) I used to visit 20 years ago for posh nosh is next door.
All the toilets and facilities are clean and nice to use.
Lots of eggs to use up so bring some food that goes with them !
Owners were so friendly to the kids as to encourage them to get used to animals.
Not far from Minehead so if you drive a large motorhome, arrive early to be able to park easily by the promenade.

Can highly recommend. Facilities great - 2 shower rooms with toilet & basin (clearly fairly new & kept clean with nice loo roll, hairdryers, hand dryers & soap)& another 2 WCs built while we were there, as well as a portable loo.
Free range eggs delicious! Blue Anchor promenade & beach really close (nice to hear the sea when the tide is in!) with beautiful views from the promenade, not the site, across to wales & along the coast to Minehead (day & night time!) Dogs allowed on beach - sandy but also muddy in parts.
Local attractions all easily reached - by car or steam train (dog too!) Nice big field divided into 2, but there was no distinction - both looked the same, nicely mown & flat.
Big (haven type) site next door, but not at all noisy, neither was the pub the other side which serves great food at reasonable prices, great garden, dog & child friendly (bouncy castles for the kids).
Thanks for a great stay! We will be back!

This was a first family camping break with 13 people 1 dog and three tents and this site has won our hearts for camping,
There was not not a single bad thing that I would say about this site,it is clean, flat and there are plenty of water points,
There is a bit of a wind issue at tide times so you need to be sure that our tent is properly anchored as we found out.
There only two toilet/shower units which were always clean and tidy and a single porter loo in the field this could do with some additions too as there were regular queues for them in the mornings, but this can be a good thing as we meet some of the other campers this way,
The site staff were never too busy to answer question or queries that we had although the were very busy,

Have stayed here many times with our 2 dogs and tent.
Lovely flat field across road from dog friendly beach. Can get windy when tides change and depending on high tide times there may be a little noise from the fishermen at night.
New for 2011 is the very welcome addition of 2 showers in the toilet block. Only problem is that if showers in use you may have a wait for the loo. Site has done its best to alleviate this when busy by moving in a portable loo from the car boot field.
Allison and Tony aren't running the shop or tea room this year unfortunately but there is a shop on hoburne campsite next door and the pub. There is also the driftwood café within walking distance. You can get eggs (honesty box) on the farm. For a small daily fee plus key deposit you can have access to washing up and ice back freezing facility.
Nice walks direct from site and if you have a tent and don't need a hook-up you can pitch anywhere in the large field and so have plenty of space.
Car boot sale on Saturday afternoons worth a visit.
Only a limited number of hookups and you need to be a c&cc member but you can join on site.
Recommend booking ahead as now they have the showers is going to be more popular.

This is a lovely CS. Flat level grass pitches with electric. Taps & waste empty. Two toilets with hand basins, but no showers. Tea room and shop on site, pub in the same lane. Everything you need. We ate at the Smugglers pub twice, very nice, also dog friendly in one area and plus the large beer garden.
Dog friendly pebbly beach opposite. Train and buses available to Minehead or Dunster (beware Webbers Buses DO NOT allow dogs)!
Site owners friendly and relaxed.
Enjoyed our stay.

We stopped here spontaneously and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The week before the high spring tides had come over the sea wall and flooded the normal field so we stayed further back from the sea and closer to the farm and shop - not so far to walk for the highly recommended full English in the tea room, excellent bacon and sausages! A nice touch was the tea cosies for our pots as we sat in the slightly chilly but sunny garden (pooches - who'd have 'em?!)
Owner lent us an extra electric lead to stretch to the hookups in the original field.
Tea room has a lovely garden with kids' sand pit and play area, and good for well behaved dogs too.
Good shop with all necessities and more. Didn't try the pub but it is certainly convenient - and not noisy or intrusive while we were there.
Would agree with other reviewers that the site would benefit from a shower and better wash facilities - essentially you use the toilets for the tea room - but agree again that it wouldn't stop us returning.
Owners very friendly, invited us to join them in tea and biscuits in the garden on our last morning. Can also highly recommend a trip on the steam train from Blue Anchor station (10 minute walk along seafront). The line runs for about 20 miles between Minehead and Bishops Lydeard across Exmoor - beautiful scenery, and nostalgic for the boys!

First thing I want to say is that this site has no luxuries. We like it that way. The owners are very helpful, their is a small but adequate shop with the best fresh eggs I have ever tasted.
There are only 2 toilets come washrooms one of which can be used for baby changing. The Hobourne site next door has a swimming pool which you can use £3 Adult, £2 Children and 50p spectators afterwards we used the site showers. Nice pub the Smugglers Inn and just up the road The Blue Anchor. We used Watchet for Take-aways. The Chippy in the Town centre was excellent and friendly. Will return next year.

Just returned from 9 day stay at Home Farm we had a wonderful time. Site lovely & very friendly, very much as other review says. In good position for sight seeing, or just a lazy stroll across sea front which is on door step. A shower block would be a bonus but has not put us of a return visit, we have booked again for August. And with a bit of luck have booked more sun & less wind & rain

This is a really lovely and a friendly campsite. Owners helpful and allow you to camp with reasonable freedom anywhere. The situation of this site is fantastic - on the coast, you can go on the beach from your pitch or simply watch the sunset over the bay or watch the steam trains roll by. Walking distance to two pubs (one virtually on site), both do great food and have fine ale. There is a tea shop on site too, which serves cream teas and full English breakfasts, handy when you don't want to fire up the stove! Also a good shop on site (soon to be licensed). Children love it here, there is a farm also attached to the site. You can also use the swimming pool at the corporate site next do. I would give this a good 9/10, but sadly there are no showers, no laundry facilities and only 2 hand wash basins and toilets, no good disabled facilities, but is level access. It is a Members Site (CCC) only and perhaps one day, they will provide showering facilities and more toilets.
