We were attracted to this site as we prefer small/quiet sites. Although near the road you barely hear a car. The railway line down in the valley in the trees was noticeable but didn't spoil our stay (just a shame as we like to feel in the middle of nowhere)

The site really a long narrow strip, so although small, pitches are pretty close to each other and most are on a gradient other than those backing onto the road. We like a bit more space.

The view/sunsets are as promised.

The toilet/shower facilities are only just adequate. Everything works ok, lots of water pressure and hot water and is kept clean, but one WC and one shower between 40-50 people isn't really sufficient. Really needs one male and one female unit as per the existing portacabin.

The solar panels provided work well, just as well as generators are not permitted.

Site management is friendly and professional with good instructions.

One of the nicest sites we've stayed at, lots of wildlife, great walks and lovely sunsets. We arrived on a Thursday and had the site to ourselves which was pretty special. Apart from one longish walk we pretty much stayed on site for 3 days as we wanted to spend time in our vw camper chillin out listening to music and watching the clouds. We just loved the facilities all very eco and the picnic tables and benches dotted around is a lovely idea. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and sent some useful info over on booking.

Hope to get back this weekend.

Stayed two nights and would have liked to stay longer. Toilets are basic but adequate, the peace and quiet heavenly. The picnic tables are a nice touch and the ponds area is lovely to contemplate or sit and read a book.

We were extremely fortunate with the weather which made the views and wildlife spotting very enjoyable. Although owner is not resident clear instructions were forwarded beforehand to make for a hassle free arrival. Will definitely return.

We had a lovely nights stay at the Owlsbury.

It was a last minute urge to go camping, so we had a quick search then contacted Owlsbury.

My wife knows little about camping, so she found it such a relief that the lady she spoke to over the phone was so accommodating, even offering tips and loads of local information.

That's it, our minds now made up. We set off from London for a 2 hour adventure drive. We arrived after midnight and set up tent.

We awoke to a beautiful peaceful setting.

Didn't even realise we were so close to the road, it was so quiet.

Nice clean setting with picnic tables.

Thank you ever so much Owlsbury

We look forward to visiting again soon.

This site really is in a beautiful location and no matter where you pitch you will have great views across the valley and nearby countryside. Lots of birds and wildlife to watch.

Great the way Geraldine provides a number of picnic benches, encourages lots of outdoor eating and socialising if you want to.

A day out to nearby Tunbridge Wells ( approx 7 miles) is well worth it.

We would definitely return and recommend the site.

Popular Choice in this Area

Broadhembury Holiday Park - Ashford

Just 15 minutes from Ashford and 25 minutes from fabulous beaches, you'll be ideally placed for exploring the Garden of England. The park is divided into a family area, that is close to the play parks, the sports field and the games room, and a peaceful adult-only area in The Meadows, that is ideal for couples. A range of grass and hardstanding pitches, fully serviced or non electric, catering for all sized of tents and caravans.

On both areas you will enjoy five-star, centrally-heated showers, and private cubicles with toilet, hand basin, dryers etc. Laundry and campers kitchens, a large childrens playground, sports field, games room and television lounge. The park has CCTV and WiFi is available for a small fee. A dog walking area is provided on site. Find out more here

We stayed 4 nights on this lovely site in rural Sussex. It was quiet with only a few others on site. Beautiful views with sheep in the next field. We slept really soundly and didn't notice any traffic from the road, aeroplanes or the animals. The only downside was the first morning I had a cold shower as the switch had been turned off and the owner could not explain this. Toilets could be updated but basically clean, powerful shower and very hot when it worked but controllable. Small shed containing the washing up area, the wooden shed door could do with sanding to erode the splinters, I got one from the edge of the door. Will definitely use this site again, the owner is lovely and very helpful with dealing with problems.

A very pleasant site remotely situated down a country lane. Very quiet and peaceful except for the sound of the occasional train going by in the distance. Approx 1. 5 miles to nearest pub and 2 miles to take-a-ways and Tescos.

Facilities are basic (no luxury here) but the location more than makes up for the lack of creature comforts. There are male and female loos but sinks only have cold water. One shower (with hot water) is adequate and there is a small shed with a sink within for washing up.

Main gate and toilets are normally locked with combination locks (codes supplied). Recycling area and chemical waste drain also available.

The adjacent fields have cows, sheep and next door is a vineyard. Two small ponds in the wood are available for fishing but are more suited to (accompanied) children than the serious angler.

A very nice feature though that is a pleasant, quiet place to sit and relax in the shade.

Wonderful sunsets! We spent a very enjoyable weekend here and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Just returned from a two night stay at a very wet but peaceful visit to Owlsbury park,

Geraldine was wonderful with her e mails and text messages, keeping us up to date with the dryer areas to pitch the tent and then we finally caught up with each other on Sunday to pay, not hassled at all.

A lovely area and natural site. We will return to look for the deer and when the weather forecasts show no rain !

Arrived in the rain, left in the rain. Nevertheless had a good few days stay here at reasonable cost. Easy access for all inc large units.

Lovely views and quiet, with just an occasional train down in the valley (unseen), and a few cars going down the road outside but masked by a double hedge.

Very relaxing watching the cows and sheep grazing, walked to the ponds and watched the fish feeding. Benches and tables around which is very useful esp. For tent campers.

Everything you want or need on a campsite, but without the bells and whistles some people can't do without. Added bonus of no children. Good base for sightseeing the Kent and Sussex area.

Toilets and shower etc not luxury but clean and adequate. No electric hook up as such, but solar lighting in the loos, and solar panel hook up available soon we believe.

Several hardstandings available but if you want to go further in to a grass pitch be careful where you park when it's wet (like now), as parts at the far end of the site are boggy. The owner will advise if necessary.

Lots of info sent by owner by email after original enquiry. Will definitely visit again as there's so much to do and see around here.

This camp-site is in a beautiful spot, with lovely views. We booked a couple of bikes for the weekend and were expecting them on arrival. After pitching the tent we needed the bikes to cycle into town, but they were never delivered so we had a long walk into Jarvis Brook and the nearest pub. The Wheatsheaf is a lovely Harveys pub, with one problem it doesn't serve food on a Friday night!

The solar showers and lights are a brilliant idea except that they weren't working, so we had to have a cold shower.

If you want a basic site with basic facilities and good views then choose this one.
