What a fantastic find. I honestly can’t fault this little gem at all. Stunning views surrounded by beautiful countryside and walks to the beach with Bamburgh on your doorstep. The shower room is great and everything was lovely and clean. If you don’t like peace and quiet and walking this place isn’t for you but for us it was perfect.

A lovely little gem of a site. If you always go to all singing all dancing caravan club sites then this place is not for you.

However if you want something a little off the grid in a stunning location and peaceful then this is it.

We were a little wary having read good & bad reviews but booked anyway.

The owner Lesley went out of her way to fit us in as we’d been let down by another farm nearby.

Yes the road is narrow to the farm but there are passing places and it is not a through road so no traffic other than farm people who know where to pull off and let you through.

Yes the pitches are almost in the farmyard of which there are 9 (all have views of Bamburgh castle) but they are generous pitches, our motorhome is 8. 3m long and fitted easily. It’s a working farm and states that on the website so it’s no use complaining afterwards as some have done that there is vehicle and animal noise first thing, it’s a farm! However we have experienced far worse people noise on so called adult only quiet club sites.

It adds to the experience waking up to the calls of sheep and cows.

The one drinking water tap is a bit of a pain located just outside the pitch site but is not more than 30m from each pitch and the owner Lesley told it this is being moved this year to make it easier. It’s adequate for 9 pitches.

The one toilet and one shower are fine and yes they are a bit dated but were clean and close to the pitches.

Bins and chemical waste also easy to access.

The walk to the beach is literally 10-15 mins away down an easy track and to the people who complained in a review ‘it was really muddy’ all I can say is “it’s the countryside!” These are the people who go to Scotland and the Lakes and complain when it rains.

Bamburgh is 25 mins away and Seahouses about 35-40 mins. Lots of shops, pubs, chippys and tea rooms and of course Bamburgh Beach, in our opinion the best beach in the uk. And a free car park across the road from the castle with several motorhome sized parking areas if you want to drive there.

Lesley the owner was a lovely lady who was very helpful.

What’s needed? As it’s in the country and open all year a washing machine and/or tumble dryer would be good for the wet days to dry your gear.

Bear in mind the EHU is only 10amp and when a few vans are all using their appliances of a morning etc it kept tripping our mains switch out, however we were using a 240v 3, 000w home kettle. Perhaps a smaller 12v one would have been more sensible.

All in all? A great little site for those not needing the ‘luxury’ of a CCM big site but that is reflected in the price.

Feb pitch with EHU was £18 per night for two. Can’t complain compared to some extortionate CCM sites that are like busy cattle markets.

A bargain and a peaceful, lovely no frills site in a stunning location. Can’t wait to come again

Overall experience not good. Long narrow track, rutted and muddy. No welcome on arrival and owners never even spoke to us in the time we stayed. Yes there is a view of Bamburgh Castle if you are on a particular pitch, don’t expect it. The site is small, pitches are quite close together and not all are hard standing. The site is not separate to the farm it is in the farm yard quite literally, don’t expect a lie in. The shower and loo are in a kind of lean to on the front of the farmhouse, we didn’t use them, they looked old and grubby.

A WIFI worked fine, EHU close to our pitch. Water isn’t conveniently situated and if filling your MH you block the entrance, filling a rolling water carrier wouldn’t be nice if it was muddy.

The location is very remote and the walk to a Bamburgh is across field tracks which are muddy. We preferred to drive off site for a day in Bamburgh, parking is free anyway. The beach is lovely, clean and expansive. Bamburgh has some good pubs and tea rooms too. A few are dog friendly as well.

We spent 7 nights at this site and on the whole it was ok. Didn’t really use the toilet facilities much which seemed clean and adequate attached to the house. We were on number 1 pitch and got a good view of the castle which is illuminated in the evening. We couldn’t really get a wi-if signal in the caravan and had to sit in the awning to improve signal strength which also seems to be limited to 4 users? I know it’s free but for £20 a night should be better. Also a drinking water tap nearer to the house would be better.

It would be handy and reassuring to have a caravan site sign at the beginning of the mile long country lane with the no through road sign.

It is a working farm as stated on web site but if you are going to be loading livestock at 2:30 AM there is no need to have the 4x4 vehicle headlights on pointing directly at the caravans. The noise did wake me up and was surprised to see this happening in the dead of night. Spoke to other campers who were nearer and they said the noise went until about 4 AM! I watched the 4x4 and trailer drive down the lane at 2:45 AM.

The location is good and you can walk into both Bamburgh and Seahouses. We would stay again.

Just returned from this beautiful little site. View to die for pitches are well maintained with plenty of room. It’s a working farm so you do get animal and vehicle noises but they weren’t interruptive of the lovely nature noises. Toilet and shower even though dated were functional to need, but we use ours as well as can be engaged at times, but nether the less this site is a gem if you looking for views, sandy clean beaches, places of interest, and so relaxing and peaceful out in the countryside. Most definitely be returning.

Shhhhhh. Don't tell too many. This site is a fantastic gem. Only 9 pitches but with views from most to die for. If you want a site with a club house, showers everywhere toilets everywhere and a parade of club persons always available, this isn't it. Its a working farm with sheep and cattle and the owners work the farm. They are not always available but you can always catch them at some point. If you love peace and quiet this is the place for you. One shower and one toilet but, always clean and fine for 9 pitches. We spent 5 days there and could happily stayed for the summer. The fantastic largely empty beach is 10 mins away down the farm track and from there is Bamburgh castle and the village or seahouses the other way. Lovely walks. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.

Plus. Grass cut and decent size pitch with view of the castle

Negative. Toilet filthy, shower had water but wouldn’t advise taking your crocs off when standing in there, rubbish area overflowing with assorted waste and bottles

Quick enough to take money but never seen again, mile long track to site with virtually no passing places, no wonder there’re not now a Caravan and motorhome club cl - definitely won’t be back, £18 a night for the joy of it!

Just returned from 10 nights at this wonderful site. How lovely it was to be on a working farm, animal noises, agriculture machinery, country life all add to a different break. The beaches in the nearby location are to die for, the stars at night are astronomical. Showers and toilets are basic but fully functional. What more could you want? Fantastic. We would definitely return.

This CL is way overpriced at £20 a night in July. Toilet and shower(50p a time) dated and cleanliness poor. Not safe for children as farm vehicles run through the CL too fast. Good view of Bamburgh Castle from the CL. This by no means makes up for the 6am noise from people arriving to work on the farm. This CL is no more than a working farm with the intrusion of caravans parked on their lawn. We didn't dare leave our dog tied up outside the van as their staffy and border collie roamed freely. The 10 amp electricity was adequate. If you like being up a mile long track road with no passing places on a working farm with machinery going till 8pm then you will like this place. This is not our idea of a holiday! And definitely won't be returning. We were asked for a £60 deposit and on arrival the lady's comments were ' we ask for full payment on arrival as lots tend to leave without paying the balance' I wonder why?? In 26 years of caravanning we have never come across a cl that we felt was just out for the money!

Stayed 7 nights at this little site, what a gem. The lane leading up to it is a bit narrow but there are a few passing places so no problems there. The leaving caravans got to leave by twelve and the new ones not before two and it does work out perfect. When I arrived the lady explained everything, some pitches on grass but its more of a lawn than grass, its really a quiet site with elsan point and waste water close by, and a shower and toilet spotless which I never use but had a nosey. Got no complaints at all, over the moon with the site next time I be in Northumberland I will make a b line to this excellent little site
