We have just returned from a 5 day stay at this beautiful caravan site.
The owners Dave and Karen are wonderful. The adult only site is immaculate.
Great shower blocks and wash up area. The views and dog walk are exquisite. We loved walking each day meeting all the animals on the farm.
We made friends with the Alpacas and horses in no time. The chickens and rooster came to greet us at our door each morning (just wonderful). The fresh eggs are like nothing we have ever had before again fantastic. The site is spotless, quiet and so pretty.
We went into the lovely little town and also to Thornton Le Dale which was magical. Can not wait to return and really did not want to leave. Thank you again to our fantastic host's.
Look forward to seeing you again Lorraine and Dale

What a fantastic find this was. This is a most beautiful cared for and attended site. The pathways along the perimeter are really well maintained and make a super walk along the river unfortunately we didn't happen to see the kingfishers and other wildlife but walked past where the Alpacas and Heavy Horses are kept.
It was a joy to have the chickens around our door and sitting on the caravan steps awaiting their early morning breakfast treats. The site is in an area great for exploring this part of Yorkshire we had a lovely day out in Whitby via the steam railway (pity no concessions for pensioners). Just a 5 minute drive out of Pickering where there are lovely independent shops and two supermarkets.
This site is a credit to Karen and Dave wonderful hosts. Lovely new shower block and facilities and probably site now enhanced by being Adult only.
No dislikes and can thoroughly recommend

Just returned after spending four nights here. In my campervan with awning. Lovely welcome and shown to a really good pitch, number 9. Immaculately kept site, very flat with beautiful sunrise and sunset. Lovely clean, modern toilet /shower block, with adjacent wash up facility.
Lovely and tranquil. Saw a red kite, and a heron each day.
There is a lovely flat walk around the site, partly along the brook, with the grass kept very short.
Alpacas on site, as are the friendly free roaming chickens and cockerells. They also have beautiful shire horses on site.
It is a 2 mile walk into Pickering but it is all very flat, so easy going.
An ideal location for the NYMR, Helmsley, Ryedale Folk Museum and the beautiful East Yorkshire coast.
Possibly the best campsite that I have visited.

Found this to be a quiet well cared for adult only site with friendly owners & various EHU/grass/hardstanding & facility pitches plus some seasonal pitches.
There was a fenced nature trail/dog walk also free roaming chickens on site.
The lady’s facility (kept spotlessly clean) had 1 shower (£1 coin) 2 loos & 2 sinks. There were 2 wash up sinks & info hut.
Walking to town to visit busy Monday Market & Pickering castle took an hour to get there unfortunately all on tarmac. 1 mile down lane to main road then approx same again to castle/shops. Very busy market town with a good variety of shops/cafes etc.
Enjoyed our stay.

What a fantastic find! We booked for 7 nights and stayed for 11. The folks who run this site are wonderful in every respect.
The place is immaculate - pitches, amenity block, paths and driveway and beautiful gardens.
It's totally peaceful, set amongst open fields at the end of a lane, yet close enough for easy access to all the facilities in Pickering and the perfect centre for touring the whole of the eastern section of North Yorkshire including the coast and moors.
Can't recommend this site highly enough (but don't go there if you want bars, karaoke and shouting - this is peace and quiet in spades!).

Lovely quiet site with clean facilities and with obvious care taken to make it a pleasant place. A flat 30 minute walk to Pickering which is a pretty market town and easy access to the Coast, North York Moors etc.
The owner was very friendly and also provides some local produce and gifts to buy. We stayed on a hardstanding area for motorhomes next to a touring field which seemed to have some long term pitches as well as touring ones.
This is very rural and has animals such as chickens, alpacas and lama's around. It is dog friendly and there are very clean facilities just right for the size of site.

Ideally located and very well situated for all attractions Yorkshire has to offer. Owners were very welcoming and helpful.
The only issue was the shower cubicles, no facility to place shampoo or shower gel ( had to be placed on the shower floor)
The shower itself was locked in position and water could not be controlled ( sprayed everywhere). Water did take a minute or two to reach temperature, which isn’t usually a problem if you don’t have to pay £1 every 7 minutes for usage!
