Visited this site in August and had a great holiday. Facilities were very clean and there was always someone from housekeeping around the shower block. Shower block was great with underfloor heating, a sauna and steam room free of charge. Plenty for the kids to do, great adventure play park, fun clubs, only about 10 minute walk downhill into Woolacombe (caught the bus back - ticket for bus cost us £1 per person per week). Bus service was OK too saved money by not having to take car into Woolacombe (average cost to park car in Woolacombe was £4). Pitch we stayed on was a good size and easily fit our large tent on it however some pitches did look quite small too. Indoor pool was advertised as heated however we only lasted 10 mins in it because it was really cold!

This is one of our favourite sites; lovely welcome, clean and up to date facilities, fabulous pools and good entertainment. The area itself is gorgeous - Woolacombe village is a beautiful little resort, still unspoilt but with just enough to do to fulfill the kids. The beach is stunning and you can get the campsite bus to and from it. For three years running we stayed in statics and vowed to return even when funds were running low so went for the nylon option - we weren't disappointed. The camping area is on down from the main static area and feels like a site in itself but at the same time is not far from the main amenities (clubhouse, pools etc) so you get the best of both worlds. We didn't go back in 2006 as we couldn't go long distance this year but will deffinitely return.

Good site for facilities: very clean toilets, pools are good (warm), shop good, but take out is very pricey - try the local pizza place that I saw deliver direct to the pitch number. BUT it is all on a slope. From the electric hookups you are looking at a steep slope back from the toilets, and getting back from the beach you need a car or the site's bus, the alternative is walking very steep hills (1 in 5 ) with no footpaths. I found bikes were pointless as the children had to push them back from the shop. But nothing beats the beach at Woolacombe.

We went there last year and had a great time. There is loads to do for all ages and is really close to the beach. The area it is situated in is great with loads to do and see around. The facilities were 100% spot on. They are all clean tidy and well kept. I would recommend to anyone to go there and would without a doubt consider returning to this site.

August 2004 My wife and 2 children aged 5 and 3 stayed for 1 week on an electric pitch at Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parc which is situated off a country lane about 1 mile from the beach. The pitch size was fine and close to the hook-up and water point. No 101 is about as private as you can get. The shower block was a 2 minutes walk away down a gravel path. The showers got dirty very quickly due to other peoples disrespect of the facilities but it seems people fom 'all walks of life' visit the site. The outdoor swimming pool was warm and my kids loved it although it was a bit crowded. The evening entertainment was typical holiday camp stuff: amusing for the children but it wouldn't be my choice. The main area was extremely hot; The room containing fruit machines which my 3 year kept straying into was like a sauna-literally! The camp site staff were very helpful, the reception/bar staff less-so. My wife complained about a youth urinating in open view from a bar terrace and complained to a member of bar staff who witnessed this disgrace and failed to act appropriately. One can see the sea from the campsite but the beach can only be accessed by wlking 1 mile down a very steep narrow country lane or down through the playground and through a field and path to the main road into Woolacombe. Take plenty of money for ice-creams etc. It cost me £6.20 for 4 99's !

August 2002 I think these are wonderful sites. Altogether they have three, we have been three times in total to the twitchen park site, every year we have had a fantastic holiday. They have wonderful indoor and outdoor pools, childrens entertainment throughout the day and childrens play areas as well. This year we are going to camp there usually we go in a caravan but we thought we would try camping after meeting a family there last year who have camped there for the last five years who have said they have enjoyed the site so much with wonderful facilities. Everything on the site is enclusive of your pitch price.
Woolacombe here we come.

April 2003 Lively family site. Good playpark for kids and in door ballpit. Swimming pool enterance via tokens issued by reception. Advertised as having fishing on site, left a lot to be desired! Pitches were gently sloping (middle section of park. We asked for EHU for a tent and got a hard standing serviced pitch and we weren't the only tent in this situation. Good well stocked shop, toilet and shower block were clean and did the job. Washing Machine and Dryer were in ladies shower block. Entertainment in the family room was good and there was a 'sports bar' with televisions, pool and snooker tables. Ten pin bowling and amusement arcades and tennis courts are on site. The out door fun pool wasn't open - but the ducks loved it!On the whole I would go back it was nice and friendly.and clean.
