Sloping pitches Very cold swimming pool 'Heated' by the sun so cold that my daughter came out in tears quicker than she went in;( we stayed here as we have family locally.

However we will not be going back the owners were unfriendly and not very helpful! Also agree with comment that the showers were dark and dingy although new and clean.

We had a lovely two night stay here with our young daughter. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Fantastic weather so we used the pool a lot, it wasn't warm but it was refreshing ! A lovely facility to have at the site. The children's play area was fairly basic but was used as a meeting point by all the children on the site who played together really well.

Lots to do in the local area - we visited Broadstairs which was charming and had a lovely beach where we spent the morning.

We would definitely return to this site.

My family will certainly stay at Yew Tree caravan park again. The site is set in the lovely Kent countryside, with many visitor attractions easily accessible - there is a large selection of tourism pamphlets at the information point on-site.

The park is clean and friendly, with good facilities for showering, washing-up and laundering. I understand some people's frustration at having to pay 20p for a 4 minute shower, but with rising fuel prices I don't think this is unreasonable.

Having the bonus of a swimming pool made all the difference to my family, as we had lovely weather during our visit. The water was beautifully refreshing once in, and certainly warmer than the sea!

The park has a small play-area for children, but my family prefer to go for cycle rides and on long country walks. The park owners were very obliging in printing off routes for us to follow.

With a beautiful view across the unspoilt countryside our pitch was excellent, and we sat out for a long time under the stars before retiring for a quiet night's sleep.

We stayed at Yew Tree Thursday till Monday last week. The facilities are excellent. The toilets and washing area are very clean and there are enough of them. There are showers but the charge of 20p for 4 minutes is a bit much. They are also rather dark.

The site is well laid out and the pitches are quite large. Some pitches have EHU. One complaint I have is that there is no shop on the site and although there is one in the village it would be nice to have a shop actually on the site.

All things considered Yew Tree is a clean, well run site. It is set in very pretty countryside and Canterbury, Whitstable, Hythe and Dover are all within easy reach.

We would certainly use this site again.

We stayed at Yew Tree Friday - Sunday and being local to the area were looking for a site to actually spend time at rather than use as a base. This site is perfectly located though for exploring Canterbury and the areas around Hythe and Folkestone.

The site was clean and well laid out. The owners were very helpful especially when we had to complain about some noisy neighbours - they reacted quickly and constructively, showing that peace and quiet is high on the agenda. The statics are well away from the tourers with the tents all together and due to the size of the site you are not a long distance from the facilities which were clean well maintained.

The pool was also very clean and although too chilly for wimpish adults, the kids loved it.

The tent pitches were slightly sloping although not enough to spoil a good nights kip. The play area is definitely for young children and the site could definitely benefit from an open space set aside for ball games for the older kids.

If I had to have a gripe it would be having to pay 20p for 4 minutes of hot water for a shower. Although not expensive the pitch charges are at a rate where showers should really be included or at least extend the time slot to 6 minutes - soapy hair and the sudden requirement to slot in another 20p is not much fun!

Yew Tree Caravan Park is a fantastic park, very clean set in beautiful countryside, I've stayed there many times over the years. The owners, Dee & Derek are so friendly, they always make you feel so welcome. The kids love it.

The outdoor pool is great, but did agree with some other comments that it was fairly cold, but guess what, the pool is now heated, so our next visit will be totally perfect!

It's my favorite campsite.

This was our second visit to Yew Tree Farm and it is turning into one of our favourites. The site is about 5 miles south of Canterbury and is well sign posted.

The site is separated into 3 areas. There is a grass paddock surrounded by a tall hedgerow (great for blackberries) with about 10 touring pitches. There is another touring area and then there is a further tent area with some of the pitches under trees. All of the pitches appear to be of a good size and are all numbered. I think that all of the touring pitches have EHU available. Some of the tent pitches may have a slight slope. The site is very much 'no noise' after 10pm. There is a small play area but it's very much just for toddlers, but is used as a meeting place for all the kids.

There are also a small number of static caravans and some brick chalets which surround the open air pool which you are free to use. The pool was very clean but also very cold!

There are a couple of toilets by the touring pitches. The main facilities are all over by the owners house, but as the site is small it's not too far from any of the pitches. The toilets and showers were kept very clean. Showers are coin operated (20p for 4 minutes), but the cubicles are quite small and dark. There is also a washing up room with a couple of sinks and this also houses the washing and drying machines. Next door to this is a free to use fridge and freezer.

The owners are friendly and helpful when they need to be but largely just leave you to enjoy the surroundings which they obviously take great pride in. The Chequers Inn pub just outside the site has new owners and children were made to feel very welcome. The food is excellent and reasonably priced.

Other than the pub there isn't much else within walking distance. The village of Bridge about 5 mins drive away has a small supermarket, a couple of nice looking pubs and a bakers. The site is well situated for trips into Canterbury (although the heavy traffic in the town can be a headache), or to the beaches on Thanet and it's only a 10 minute drive to the M20 which gives you access to Dover and Folkstone. We visited the zoo at Port Lympne which was a great, but expensive (£44 pounds for a family of 4) day out. We also passed Howletts zoo which is only a 15 minute drive away. For the more active, there are several footpaths directly outside the site and I can recommend a walk down to the village of Petham.

Other than the minor gripe about the small showers this is a great site in good location for getting around the east of Kent and we would definitely go back.

We spent two nights here in order to watch the Tour de France. The site is very clean and tidy. The pitches are a reasonable size and the site is well laid out. The playarea is a little limited but the swimming pool - although unheated - is lovely. The facilities are very clean. Owners very helpful. Only grumble are the showers - 20p for 4 mins. The shower cubicles for the men are very small.

Pub at the entrance serves a lovely Sunday roast.

Very close to Canterbury - it is possible to cycle there.

In summary a lovely site. We will certainly visit again.

We spent a lovely long weekend here. Toilets and showers nice and clean, my husband claims to have had to wait for the toilet each time he went, but strangely there was never a queue for the ladies! Swimming pool a big plus and not overly busy considering the site was full. We had a large level pitch with hook up, but some area's of the site looked quite sloppy. The owner's were very friendly and very helpful. There was a pub as you enter the site that reportedly does good food, but was closed for private function when we stayed, but we did find lovely pub with beer garden closer to Canterbury. Be warned there is very poor signal for mobile phones but is nice not to have teenage daughters constantly texting! Definitely stay again soon.

Stayed in the electric hook up field with our friends and we had two pitches next to each other. Cleanliness 10/10. The pool was of good size and well maintained. Could not fault this park.
A bit of a drive to get some milk etc. but our enjoyable weekend was by no means spoilt by this.
We will be returning, well done Derek and Dee (owners). P.s. Eat at the Duck Inn, out it the middle of nowhere (10minutes drive), but excellent food and service.
