We are Aussies travelling around the UK in a motorhome and have found a great farm stay in the centre of Garton-on-the-Wolds in East Yorkshire.

We only intended to stay one night but have now stayed for our ninth night. It is a quiet site and very pleasant to wake up in the morning and look out over the small village to the wolds.

It is close to major shops and a good base to sightsee in several directions.

Our hosts Tony and Heather are very friendly and helpful. Modern amenities and sites are spacious.

My first visit to this campsite. Very friendly and helpful owners - it seemed as if nothing would be too much trouble.

There was one field for families and one smaller one for adults only (which suited me). Quiet site with no rowdy behaviour.

Toilet facilities were spotless, but with only one (free) shower in the men's block. There was a kitchen with 2 sinks, fridge/freezer and microwave, which was great. Campsite was fairly busy but pitches were well-spaced, with good drainage.

Many pitches had UHU, although we didn't use it. Site is just off main road, but traffic noise was not very intrusive. There was one small shop in local village. Otherwise, shopping, pubs and entertainment were in Driffield, about 2-3 miles away, which has a good range of facilities (including a Wetherspoon's pub).

Bridlington is about 12-15 miles away. I would recommend a visit to 'Old Bridlington', a charming old-world district of the town and a world away from the beachfront area, which, to me, looked very tired.

What a really lovely campsite. We arrived having arranged to go into the Adults only pitch, but then changed our minds as there was more space in the larger field. Tony was very accommodating whilst we dithered as to which pitch we wanted to go to!

Whilst the site facilities are small only having one shower in each of the men's and women's changing rooms- they are immaculate. The pot wash room has 2 fridges, a microwave and a washing machine, as well as 2 wash up areas.

They also supply liquid, brushes and paper towel. You can also buy fresh eggs but be quick as they sell quickly. Gorgeous views from the site, had the sun on us all weekend.

Whilst there is no pub to walk to Wetwang and Driffield are only a few minutes drive down the road. Thank you Tony and Heather - we will be back

 Splendid!

Even dough the weather conditions were very bad, Heather and Tony gave us a warm welcome.

On the campsite you are provided with all facilities you can wish for. Nice hot showers with large and recent sanitation. There is also a kitchen area in mint condition. And all of these facilities are placed in heated rooms.

Next to the well equipped site, there is also Tony and Heather themselves. You can always go and ask them for help and advise. We were given some vegetables when we were to late to go to the store. And you can also get eggs from their chickens :)

They gave us advice on cycling routes and places to visit accompanied with a coffee or thee.

At some nights, when it was to cold to sleep in the tent, we were offered to use the B&B. Since it was available we could switch if we wanted to.

For cyclists (as we are) Driffield is the ideal location to start your tours in the Yorkshire wolds. You can head for the eastern coast, or go for the hills in the wolds. We visited Malton, York, the Bempton cliffs.

We will visit them again some time for sure!

The campsite is really beautiful and has great view. The facilities such as kitchen and bathrooms are quite new, well-equipped, clean and pretty.

Tony and Heather are supper kind and friendly. We cycled through Way of the Roses for charity and when we shared with them about the ride, they sponsored us the pitches as donation.

They also drove us to the Driffield town which is close to the campsite to buy stuff, let us have dinner in the barn, they also set up the table and the heater for us and let us secure all the bikes inside the barn.

Heather also prepared really nice breakfast for us in the next morning and shared with us interesting stories about their family. Great experiences with them and East End Farm Campsite.

Thank you very much Tony and Heather for your kind support and donation! Wish you all the best in life!

Lovely warm welcome after a very short notice booking (5 minutes) after been let down by another site in area.

Put us on the gravel as the grass was a bit wet and soft after all the rain from storm Doris.

Clean modern facilities, very friendly owners who after talking turned out went to same school as we did.

They couldn't do enough for you. Will definitely come again

This is a great little campsite. Two separate fields with gates and fences meaning it was safe for our young daughter to run around.

The toilet block is modern and clean with free hot showers. Just the one shower in each block so these could get busy if the site gets full but was fine for our visit.

The owners were very friendly, helpful and welcoming and came to say hello when we arrived. They even provided a hot breakfast (bacon and egg sandwich) in the morning.

The location is really handy for visiting the east coast around Bridlington up to Scarborough and is close to some nice pubs and restaurants in Driffield and the nearby villages.

Would definitely go back for another stay.

Myself, my husband and our 4 1/2 Year old son have just spent a night at this fabulous campsite.

Heather and Tony the owners were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome.

The toilets and shower were spotlessly clean. There is a pot wash room with a fridge and microwave and taps dotted around for drinking water. The campsite is beautiful, with lovely views and ample space between each pitch so your not on top of each other.

There was plenty of room for our little boy to run around and play games. The area is beautiful with plenty to do.

We visited the Victoria Inn pub in Wetwang for a meal which was fantastic, very welcome hosts the food was delicious, plenty of choice and very good value.

Warm welcome from Tony, as advised used the approach from Driffield. The left turn in is very tight for a large unit. Generous pitches and nice view.

Toilet block clean, no children's play area (which is a plus) picnic benches dotted around the field. A peaceful stay.

Only niggle is that there is a tariff for dogs, that I wasn't expecting.
