This was our second visit to Willow Valley and we were even more impressed this time round. Matt and Tina, the owners, take great pride in presenting a well kept site, with excellent facilities. There are new shower and toilet blocks, male and female, finished to a high standard and new washing up facilities. (The old ones weren't bad.) The welcome is friendly and your are always given Matt's best pitch. Drainage has been added over the past year to prevent the pitches becoming water logged, which was definitely tested when we were there.
The site is close to Bude, providing access to shops and beaches. There are some good local pubs close by, for those nights when you just don't feel like cooking. If you enjoy walking or cycling, there are good coastal walks and cycle trails, providing breath taking views, only a short drive away. We would highly recommend this small friendly site to both couples(which we are) and families. We will definitely be returning again.

This is an excellent site with really friendly and helpful site owners. The pitches are large, flat and very neat. There are new shower and toilet blocks, very spacious and the owners have thought of everything as they are also caravanners. Very good washing up facilities and piping hot water. Bins and recycling exceptionally clean! Site is central for lots of beaches and Morrisons only 3 mins away by car !

This must be one of the best campsites ever! The owners are wonderful - they really want to have a great visit. They keep the site/toilet block spotless, hard with everyone bringing in muddy boots. There was plenty of hot water, this was unlimited - though they are building a new and improved shower block. Lots of drinking water taps around the site. The noise of the road did not bother me but we pitched tent as far away as possible. Close to town centre, just a couple of miles. The little shop is very useful. Dedicated children’s play area. Top rated. We even called to thank them for helping to give us and our friends such a lovely holiday - despite the weather!

This is a really nice child friendly site. Despite the lousy weather the lovely owners worked really hard to make sure everyone was happy and that the showers, toilets etc were kept in tip top condition. In between rainstorms all the children on the site had a brilliant time running about-there is a lovely adventure playground for them. Nice little shop selling all the basics plus sweets ice-creams bottles of wine etc-was open until 8 or 9pm every night. Had the weather been halfway decent this would have been perfect.

A lovely clean site, Matt and his wife were very welcoming and helpful - even offering to lend us an electrical hook up lead when ours wasn't long enough. The kids were kept occupied both in the park area and 'helping' out in the shop. We would have visited again last year but weather and other holiday commitments meant is wasn't possible. Would definitely recommend this site though and pre-booking as they get very busy

Fantastic, The owners were very friendly, they could not do enough for you, my children thought they were brilliant people. They enjoyed the play area. The pitches are flat and very sheltered from the wind. The facilities were clean, they are due to open new bathroom facilities next year. We visited the Big Sheep which my children enjoyed aged from 6 - 13. The site is close to bude, the beaches were great.I would definitely go back there.

August 2007 was our second year at this site, Stayed for 7 nights of our 14 night break.
The day we arrived it had been raining quite heavily yet the toilet blocks were always spotless.
Maybe they should give haven some tips.
We have just booked for august again.
If they read this see you in august and keep up the good work.

Just returned from a lovely relaxing stay in one of willow valleys lodges, the lodge itself was ideal for our requirements and extremely clean. A nice warm bath in the lodge was most welcomed when we returned from the sandy beaches. Lodges are well equipped with everything you could ever need for your holiday, microwave, toaster, fridge and feezer, even a henry hoover which made the clean up easy.
The site itself is a well layout site, some pitches look to be slightly sloping but nothing too steep and the new owners are doing lots to improve the camping and caravanning experience with a new loo block under construction. There is a largeish childrens play park and an excellent field (up a big hill) for you to walk your dog. The A39 runs right next to the site but you didn't notice it, and after 8pm there was very little traffic at all. The owners are to be congratulated on the work they have done to get the site to this level and it looks only to improve.
The local pubs serve excellent food as do the local takeaways and cafes - even in winter the area seems to cater very well for the tourist. The local supermarket is about 2 miles away and Bude and the surrounding area is a lovely place to visit. Having some lovely sandy beaches and clifftop walks.
All in all an excellent place to visit, we will return.

What a lovely campsite! The owners are fabulous and will do anything to help you out. The campsite is beautifully maintained, neat and relaxing. The facilities are spotless and in full working order. Just a few miles from Summerleaze, Widemouth and Crooklets beaches - you can't get better than that!

An excellent little site just off the Atlantic Highway. The welcome from the owners is very friendly and helpful. There are three main area's of pitches. The tent only field is slightly sloping and next to the road and so could be a bit noisy. We were in the main area which has electric hookups to some pitches and then there is a new higher terrace also with hookups. There are also 4 log cabins available to rent. The site was full whilst we were there, but was not crowded and the facilities are good with enough showers for all (including 2 family rooms, amazing considering it is only a small site) and plenty of hot water and good washing up and laundry facilities. The cold water had very low pressure and sometimes disappeared altogether for a few minutes, but this was not too much of a problem. The site drained quickly after some very heavy rain, but some pitches did get a bit waterlogged for a few hours. The site is very child friendly with a good adventure play area and most clients were families so if you are not so keen on kids this might not be the site for you. There is a little shop with drinks, ice creams, sweets, Calpol! etc which is open through to 9.00pm and also a very good burger van visits Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the season. Overall, I would highly recommend the site for families looking for a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and well tended and clean facilities. Prior booking is essential throughout the holiday season and the site currently cannot accept credit and debit cards.
