This was a lovely family site! We stayed for the Whit weekend and even though the weather wasn't as warm as we'd hoped we had a great time.
The best thing for us was that we stayed in the top field which was well laid out with pitches all around the outside and leaving a huge field in the middle for the kids to play in (ours are both under 10), where we could see them. All the pitches in this top field were flat too.
We were a little disappointed that we were told pitches could not be booked in advance and yet when we arrived one of the pitches we would have liked we were told was being kept for someone else so they could be near friends??! I would recommend checking this out before you go.
The toilet/shower blocks were, although clean, in need of renovation! Water was nice and hot (a little too hot in the showers in fact, my children struggled with a shower, I had to let them stand back and just splash some over them!), however in the sinks for washing up there was little or no hot water and we had to go to the toilet and fill our bowl up???
The owners were very helpful and friendly, although we were a little intimidated by the dog on one occasion when it came bounding towards us growling whilst we waited outside the shop for someone to open up. The shop was only open twice a day for an hour each time and although they would open if you needed them to at other times, we felt a nuisance asking.
There was a children's play area but this was run down and right next to the road and entrance so we didn't use it much.
We didn't eat at the pub/restaurant on site on this visit but the pub just out on the main road did lovely food at reasonable prices.
We would definitely visit the site again, providing they had modernised the toilet facilities as it had a lovely relaxed feel to it!

Laid back and friendly site, we turned up early but this wasn't a problem, we were shown around the site and given a very generous pitch. The pitch had plenty of space for our Outwell Imagine tent with front extension and for the games wall that comes with it.
Lots of space in the middle of the pitches for children to play. Tents, caravans and campers all mixed together on the fields and the campsite is obviously used to accommodating mixed unit groups.
Facilities were fine and clean. Water pressure was a bit diverse though - in the pot wash area there is only sufficient water pressure for one sink to use the hot water at a time, whereas the cold water in the hand wash basins came out at sufficient pressure to jetwash your patio!
Nice simple play area on site and a handy shop.
We ate at the Half Moon pub next door - really busy so maybe book if you want to eat there. Food was quick, generous and pretty good (though the pineapple chunks on the salad were novel!)
Monsters play area in nearby Diss is worth a visit for families younger children.
We would recommend the site.

Spent the weekend at this site with friends who had a tent and paid £16 per pitch per night with electric hook up.
The owner was very friendly and showed us around and told us to choose where we wanted to pitch up. We chose the front field which we had to ourselves.
The toilet block is a little dated but was clean and the showers were free and nice and hot.
We didn't venture into the pub as we were lucky enough to have fab weather and enjoy BBQs, but it was nice knowing it was there if we had bad weather.
Location is lovely and peaceful and ideally situated for cycling around the countryside or driving into Diss or Harleston.
The swimming pool was empty, but we didn't plan using it in September anyway.
Would definitely return to this site for a weekend as its so relaxed.

What a gem. We found the staff to be very helpful and polite. The site is well looked after and clean. It was quiet until we got there but there is lots of room for the kids to run about. We ate in the restaurant on Friday night and the food was great. The prices were reasonable (family of 5 £35:00) and the food is fresh so it takes a little longer than the rubbish you get at fast food places, but its worth the wait. Especially as you can wait in the well stocked bar! Now the bad bit. The showers could do with up dating.

After reading some previous reviews we set off for 4 nights having not been to a campsite with children before. The campsite is set in a lovely rural area and has peace and quiet away from main roads. My daughter although older (14) soon got into the swing of things and met some others and were happily playing late into the night! The facilities were clean and hot water reliable, the horse riding was a great treat which was worth the 4 hour journey from home. Very large pitch area with a choice of 3 or 4 which I thought great to say its the summer holidays, one word of warning was the amount of wasps so we were expert wasp trap makers but that's down to the time of year. The pool is clean and popular with the children(even in the rain)so take plenty of towels. Would recommend to families with children of any age.

We took our grandchildren camping at this site, it was a brilliant site, we had a great time, the children had the run of the place with no hassle. It was kept very clean. The toilet and shower areas were spotless at all times.
Lovely, comfortable and friendly bar and restaurant with excellent food and a well stocked little shop especially for the children.
We loved the site so much we are planning on going back this summer (with the grandchildren).

Only a few minutes drive from the A140 but very peaceful. The owners are very welcoming and friendly, although don't expect them to be always manning reception as they are usually out and about doing things!
Most of the camping is on a flat, sheltered field at the rear of the site - some pitches along the edges are marked but we were told to just pitch wherever we liked. There's plenty of space for kids to run around and play, the pool is clean and gets plenty of use. Pub serves decent basic food at very reasonable prices - not many places you can feed a family of 5 for £20 these days!
Washblock is cleaned regularly and hot water never seemed to be a problem, although there is a sign advising you to avoid 9-10 a.M. For showers. We struggled to get hot water in the washing-up area but it was no hassle to fill the bowl in the washblock next door and carry it across.
Playground is near the entrance but is looking a bit tired and really in need of an overhaul.
Slightly disappointed that there was no evidence of any re-cycling facilities for rubbish.
Overall though, a very enjoyable stay and would not hesitate to recommend the site for a weekend visit to the area.

We have just returned from the bank holiday weekend and well relaxed. This campsite is a great place to stay, toilets and showers are well looked after and very very clean. The campsite is family run and they all work hard, Nothing is a problem for any of them. When we arrived we were shown around the site and was told to pick any pitch within the marked out bays which were very large where the electric hookups were. We went to the restaurant and the food was great (reasonably priced too) You may have to wait a short time because all the food is cooked to order. It has a small bar but great beer. They even have a shelter outside for smokers. We did not go into the outdoor swimming pool but lots of other people did. This was our first time here and we will definitely be going back (wife wants to go back next week)

Not so sure that I want to share this site with you all ~ just keep it for ourselves.
Just returned from another great stay with the Team at the Waveney Valley Holiday Park.
The front and back fields have had pitches marked out which gives the impression of even more space. The showers and toilets are as clean as ever. The sign suggests that you avoid 9 -10am to enable the hot water to be shared amongst all - I have yet to experience a cold one!
I passed on the swimming pool this time - as I find the water a bit chilly believe you me it must be my age as the children and some adults enjoyed it. So after returning to the saddle after 6+ years I enjoyed a hours hack, the staff there can and do accommodate all levels of riding
My partner's son, a non rider, joined us and really enjoyed his experience, mastering the rising trot . No mean feat.
As always a couple of hours in the bar to chat to both locals and fellow campers whilst the children pull together for a game of football on the centre of the back field, plenty of room for them and where you can keep an eye on them to.

Stayed for an overnight stay. But the owners were very helpful, and said we could arrive any time and leave any time.
We had the field to ourselves which was great, but it rained overnight and the field got waterlogged. The toilet and shower blocks were very clean, the restaurant and bar was comfortable, we ordered fish, as it said on the board "Fish and Chips TNITE", but they had sold out at 7.30pm and there was only 4 people in there. If you wanted breakfast, you had to order that night, very laid back. Swimming Pool looked liked it could do with a clean. It is Very close to Diss and ideal location for a camp site.
