Lovely place with very friendly people in the site. Steep hairpin bend to access - just be careful with your towing! Clean and tidy place. The sounds of the countryside all around - listen for the Pheasants, and watch skies for circling Red Kites.

May 2005 Lovely little site - primarily caravans though. On the edge of Derwent Country Park. This is a very quiet site - no clubhouse etc and a no pubs nearby. There is a fish & chip shop near the site entrance. Playgounds for young & older children, playing fields for football etc and also crazy golf. There is a river running near the site - swimming is not allowed! The site is very close to Gibside (a National Trust property) and only 10-15 minutes from the Metro Centre & Newcastle City Centre. Not a lot of tent pitches available!
