Warm Welcome, an excellent site let down only by very poor shower facilities. Not only are the showers small, there is no where to hang anything or get changed, AND you have to pay 20p which resulted in a COLD shower. I like the way that the wardens rounded all the kids up at 10pm and sent them to there vans and tents, considering how many kids there were the site was very quiet after 1030pm. Sort out the ablutions and I would return.

Very friendly site. The only down side were the showers often cold even though you had to pay 20p. Lovely view from the camping field, which was much more spacious than the field with caravans. We were with a large family party and the tents and caravans weren't allowed to camp together. Still meant I didn't have to camp next to my sister in law in her caravan! Hope she doesn't read this. Owners and staff were extremely helpful.

We've just returned from three days at Little Kings, & were extremely disappointed with the site. The traffic noise was very intrusive, not only from the main Tenby road, but also the fairly busy lane that runs right alongside the campsite. The cost at £20 / night for a tent is around double most of the other sites in the area, & that doesn't even include the showers which are 20p for six minutes.
In fact the showers were the main reason for disliking this site - they're abysmal. The first time we tried them there was no hot water coming through in either the gents or ladies showers. I mentioned this to the site owner, who said he'd check them. The next time I tried a different cubicle, & whilst there was at least hot water this time, the way it was delivered made it virtually unusable; one extremely hard jet of water from the centre of the shower head that was too hard to stand under.
The third shower meant a return to the cubicle first tried, with the same result - no hot water. OK things break down, but as I had mentioned this particular shower to the owner the day before, why hadn't he either fixed it, or put an 'Out of Order' sign on it?
The final gripe is the quality of the wine sold in the on-site bar. Both the red & white were easily the most revolting we've ever tasted!
Overall we were very unimpressed, & certainly wouldn't recommend Little Kings to anyone.

Lovely site with nice views from the camping field, small play area on camping field with a larger one on the caravan area in the next field. Owners and staff all very friendly and helpful. There is a barrier at the entrance which you had to have a card for, I think it was £5 deposit for this use. Nice pool and bar and grounds where kept very clean and tidy. As said in previous reviews, the toilet blocks for the camping field were small and the showers could have done with a bit of updating, but the staff always made sure they were clean which is the main thing. The only downside to this site was there were no shops, pubs etc in the area, apart from on the site, the nearest shops & chippy were a good 10-15 min drive away. There is lots do do in the surrounding area if your prepared to do a bit of driving and Pembrokeshire is a lovely part of the country!

Fantastic
What an excellent run, clean, marvellous site. Very friendly owners who do anything to help.
And the fresh baked products each morning.... I have a few extra inches of tummy to prove how good they are!
The pool area was basic but lovely, just right for the size of site, the bar was warm and welcoming.
Only one small complaint, I didnt like the showers, lovely and clean, but very powerful and could cause pain.

August 2004 Returned from Littlekings yesterday. Can't fault the friendliness of the staff - never known such a cheery and helpful bunch of people! The site was lovely and from our tent we had a great view of the sea, but I have to agree about the toilet block being a little on the small side on the camping field for both men and women. I think the showers could have done with a 'de-scale' too as the water flow wasn't exactly smooth - I'm sure if you had been sunburned and gone in there, it would have hurt like hell (not that we had much sun but it is Summer 2004). There was ample hot water though, but my niggle is having to pay for showers, which you have to do here. Ice blocks are 20p each to freeze as well. I loved the electronic barrier idea though and we had a couple of games of pitch and putt on a very nice course. The pool was good and the layout of the site was great. People tended to take notice of the 'no excessive noise after 11pm' rule and therefore noise was not a problem. We used the bar 3 times and each time had meals that were spot on and very highly recommended. All in all a very pleasant site. If you are thinking about visiting here, I would say 'go for it!'

August 2004 Just returned from this excellent site. £2 deposit for your electronic barrier card, with £1 returned when you leave. Very warm and friendly reception on arrival, everything is explained to you and you are then shown to your pitch. Our hookup lead wouldn't reach the outlet, so an extension lead was loaned (£20 deposit returned on leaving). The voltage loss played havoc with the coolbox, but they were very helpful with directions to a store so I could bypass the auto shutoff cable.
The toilets are spotless, although I never saw a cleaner, they must be cleaned on a shift system! The toilet block in the tent field could probably do with a couple more cubicles, but the site was packed. Showers were a bit difficult to set, although the controls are simple, I had one cold shower, and one with a force that would knock a small child over!
The swimming pool is excellent, the shop well equipped and the bakery is wonderful. You can order your breakfast the night before and your croisants will be bagged and labelled first thing.
Although we never visited the bar or games room, both appeared well appointed.
The road noise from the neighbouring A477 wasn't much of a problem, but we were pitched next to the park/football pitch, which made getting the little ones off to sleep challenging. Perhaps a reinforcement of a curfew time may stop some later noise, but it was still one of the quietest sites we've been on.
The staff were very helpful, nothing was a problem for them. Very highly recomended.

august 2004 This is a well maintained small site in a great location. Originally we were attracted to the pool and clubhouse however ironically both were a touch disappointing. The pool is really only a plung pool - not big enough to really swim in. And the bar has something of an identity crisis (closed in the day and on mondays too). Its set up like a restaurant but at busy times you need a reservation. We went in once, ordered food then was told they were too busy, and the old chap running it then shouted at a member of staff - at our table! To be fair he did explain their capacity problems but when we mentioned he had made us feel uncomfortable he said ' well you should try working here'! The next morning there was a panic over bread ordering in the shop!
The only other frustration was the constant hunt for 10p's for the showers - its not the money but why are they not free? alternatively charge me a £1 more a night to save me the problem.
None of this should put you off going but its worthy of note. I think maybe the semi retired wardens just get in a bit of a flap when stretched!

JUNE, JULY AUG 2003 Well what can I say about this park. This is the friendliest park we have ever been to, the owners are fantastic very friendly and very helpful. The site its self is immaculate. Toilets, showers etc are forever being cleaned. The bar staff are brilliant they were fantastic with my kids.
Very good value for money we will definitely be going again. We have stayed on three separate occasions this year and cant wait for next.
Well done to all at little kings you certainly know how to treat your visitors.

Late August 2003 I would agree with the other review, this is an excellent site.
Goods things;
Toilet block is near the camping field. Swimming pool, small but most refreshing. Shop sells on site baked bread, yum. Friendly and helpful staff.
Bad things;
Although the advertising claims that the site is on a quiet country lane, which it is, that is not a very honest description. Not far from the other side of the hedge in the camping field is the main road to Tenby, and it can be very noisy. Not much the site owners can do about that, which is a great shame, it spoils an otherwise excellent site.
