This was a pleasant site, quite sloping but not too much of a problem. Lots of regulars there, several who appeared to know each other and spent much time talking - VERY LOUDLY - outside our van. Add to this the chainsawing that was going off around the bottom corner of the site and the dogs barking and for us, this wasn't s good start to our break! None of this of course was the owners fault. Our main criteria on a short break is peace and quiet and on our first morning there we certainly didn't get any of that! It may be that the acoustics of the site mean that people's voices are amplified and we could hear conversations from right down the field! That aside, a reasonably clean site, just adequate shower/toilet facilities - there was no soap/handwash in the ladies throughout our stay. A little hut with things for sale and books to borrow (I took some to read and left some). If we went to this area again, we would return to Two Mills rather than Stoney Brook.

We stayed for five nights on this lovely well maintained site. It was our first visit and we received a warm welcome from Dave the owner who was more than willing to tell us about the nearest chip shop, pub and supermarkets. The facilities were a slight improvement on number in that there was shower and two toilets each with a basin which was okay for washing your hands. We preferred to clean our teeth in our caravan sink. However, the shower block is in need of refurbishment but there was plenty of room in the shower cubicle. Plenty of space between pitches and campers were friendly. We discovered that there are quite a few regulars who have been visiting this site for 10-20 years. I think that speaks for itself. They also had a little shed where you could buy veg, eggs, cakes and jam. Word of warning: Perhaps because we were there in mid August the local farmers had started harvesting and the first night we were kept awake by farm machines. Apparently this is normal for this time of year.

Entry to the site is between some houses that opens into a very well kept small site, the pitches are slightly sloping but not a problem. The owner is always available to assist with levelling if required.
Small paddock area for walking dogs with nearby forests for longer walks. Very quiet and relaxing site. Toilet block is old but in good condition and kept clean. 2 toilets and 1 shower in the ladies 1toilet 1 shower in the gents but never any queues. Small hut on site with honesty box selling home made cakes, chutney, books etc with proceeds going to local church. Had to find owner after being on site for 4 days to pay as he never chased payment owner lives on site so is always around if required.
Short drive to nearest beach and large supermarket 5 minutes away.
Would recommend and will definitely return

If there's a better touring caravan site I'd like to see it. This site ticked all the boxes. As soon as a pitch was vacated the area was serviced. Toilets clean and tidy. The owners were just great. The area surrounding the site, well as one person has already stated ' are not the best of roads'
The beaches are nice and local. Cromer crabs are known world wide and they lived up to that billing, if you like that kind of food. If you are a train buff there's plenty hear with diesel and steam, both big and small. Went on the Aylsham to Wroxham Bure Valley Railway and then a cruise around Wroxham Broad. Very enjoyable. All in all a nice 11 day stay.

This camp site is a little gem, tranquil, quiet, relaxing.
We booked and rang to see if we could arrive early, this was not a problem as no one was on our pitch the previous day.
They owners were happy for us to have visitors (adults only).
A trip into Cromer was lovely.
In nearby North Walsham there are plenty of local shops etc.
The only small comment I would make is that if the site has nearly all pitches taken, then 1 toilet and shower for men and 2 toilets and 1 shower in the ladies will be in high demand.
The facilities were clean and tidy at all times.
The small shed selling eggs and cakes was nice to see.

Had a lovely break at Stoney Brook. We booked to go on the Tuesday after the bank holiday with some reservation because of the review that there is only one shower and two loos in each shower block but this was not a problem at all. The site was virtually full but I only waited once for the shower and never for the toilets. The site was clean and well kept, the loos a little tired but I've been in much worse. This is a great site good value for money and well situated for visiting all of North Norfolk. Bacon wood was fab for walking the dogs each day too.
I will definitely use this site again

This is a lovely quiet site which is excellently maintained and laid out. The grass pitches are all large, some appeared to be unlevel but there were chocks provided to sort this so it wasn't a problem.
There are plenty of local beaches to visit, the nearest in Bacton which was a 5 minute drive, or further a field you come across some of the prettiest quiet beaches and if you are lucky you may see some seals.
The nearest supermarket is in North Walsham, 5 minutes drive, where you will also find take aways, garages etc. We will definitely be re-visiting this site and would recommend it to anyone wanting peace and quiet in a lovely setting.

We stayed for 2 nights in July, a lovely site, nothing was too much for the owner, The pitch is grass but fairly level with an electric hook up close by. It is very clean and well kept.
There is 1 shower and 2 loos for the ladies and 1 shower and 1 loo for the gents but we never had to queue and there was always lots of hot water. One evening trip to the shower we saw lots of frogs making their way home, we also saw a barn owl hunting, fantastic.
There are lots of lovely walks too. Our motorbike broke down and the owner tried very hard to find us a vehicle to rent, we found Countryside cars who picked us up and dropped us back at the site when we returned the car for £15 per day bargain.
We cannot fault this site there is even a small shed by the showers selling fresh eggs and cakes and there was loads of information on the area too. We will be back very soon

We recently spent 7 days at Stoney Brook and felt it only right that we left an up to date review of the site.
As mentioned in previous reviews, on arrival your name is on a board with your pitch number beside a small site map. So you can go straight to your pitch. Straight away you notice how well kept the site is.
Shortly after our arrival we were welcomed by the owner David who was very friendly. He told us about the local walks, beaches, pubs and where the nearest shops are.
The site is on a slope so chocks are needed and each pitch has a wooden one provided. We stayed on pitch 5 and for the first 2 Days there was a lot of rain, as there was previous to our arrival and we had no issues with mud or the pitch being soggy as is a complaint from a previous review. We also had no problem getting a TV signal although we do use a large digital ariel.
The site is a nice quiet one with lovely views of fields and woodland. We took our Dog and there is a paddock available to let him run around off the lead.
Bacton wood is only a short walk away, down a 'quiet lane' road with hundreds of acres of lovely woodland to let him run about once there.
The Toilet and shower block was Good and clean although a little busy when the site is fully occupied. By the toilets is an information shed with details of things to do in the area. They also sell eggs, homemade cake and marmalade from it, you just leave you money in an honesty pot.
We both agreed that we absolutely enjoyed our stay at Stoney Brook and will definitely return in the future.
