Just been back on one of our many return visits to this wonderful place. Owner now has planning permission so it is now a 28 pitch site and not a CCC CS site anymore. Shame really but I suppose you have to go with the flow. Facilities still all the same and up to scratch as usual as was the friendliness. We love for its beach too for our dogs and had a week of wonderful sun in April! Showers hot and clean and toilets well stocked and clean too. Used the fridge freezer which is free ; you don't get that too often nowadays!

We arrived late at the site and were welcomed by the owner who was very pleasant and introduced us to the stewards who directed us to a nice pitch well surrounded by hedges to protect us from predicted high winds. The ground was a little water logged due to the weather. The site was very friendly. The facilities were clean and very warm. There are 2 washing up sinks with loads of hot water. Very impressed with this site. Very close to anderby creek and other local beaches which our dog and kids loved. Close to farmer Browns, ideal dor ice creams and a coffee. Mablethorpe just down the road. Will definitely visit again.

2nd visit after a fantastic time and review last year but unfortunately not so happy this time round, arrived eager to enjoy only to be told the owner is out shopping you will have to wait! When she returned after waiting about 20 mins there was a puzzled look on her face 'booked last year for 5 nights' I said only to be told that's a long time ago I can't remember! I was then directed to a small paddock around the back off the main house even though there were many empty large flat pitches on the 'rally field'. Strange. The paddock was wet and muddy so not the best!We set up in the rain, well some things are no ones fault hey. We stayed 4 nights instead of 5 as we had had enough by then and we hardly saw the owners during that time, toilets were cleaned probably once every other day it seemed. When we booked last year we were told that the fees would be £11 a night all in however when we went to pay it was surprisingly £14 a night, when I mentioned what we we had agreed £11 on booking it was laughed off! To be honest if we knew that from day one we would have turned round and gone to a friendlier site just down the same road! A real shame for us as we like Skeggy, best advise when visiting here just ensure you clarify everything before rocking up, this was our last visit to Ronam Cottage!

We have just spent 5 nights at Ronam Cottage during early March 2014 after spending a weekend here in 2008.
It is ideally located about a mile inland from Anderby Creek [accessed along a footpath that runs through the site] which has miles of unspoilt sandy beaches – north to Sutton on Sea & Mablethorpe and south to Chapel St. Leonard.
The CS is sited on the right 100 yards after you enter Pinfold Lane and has three hardstanding pitches and a grassed area with plentiful hook ups and adjacent water points. There are two portaloos and a recycling area in this vicinity. However, on the far side of the owners house, is a shower/toilet room with a fridge/freezer if needed. It was kept spotless all the time we were there. It also doubles as an Information Room. £12. 00 per night with hook up was good value.
However, Shirley, the owner, has applied for [& received, we think] planning permission to extend the site to incorporate 28 touring pitches, a static caravan & 5 log pods. The static caravan is sited where the current site is and thus the C & CC license for a CS will be lost.
So get there whilst you can, is our recommendation!

Have just returned from a two night stay at Ronam Cottage and would definitely return.
The owner is very friendly and approachable (as were the stewards of the caravan club rally which were there throughout our stay). The showers were clean with plenty of hot water and free of charge. There were two large clean sinks with very hot water for washing up. The toilets were perhaps my only criticism. We were on the field at the back which had two porta cabin type toilets which were surprisingly nice, however they had ran out of toilet paper and hand towels on the morning we arrived (10. 30 am Sat). We mentioned this to a steward and they were refilled by the time we returned from the beach, however they then ran out of soap on Sunday! The bins in the toilet and the rest of the site were emptied daily, however the toilets in this field were definitely not cleaned during our stay. Not a major problem as the site was very quiet but not sure if we were just forgotten about in the back field especially considering the lack of checking essential items in them, or if this is standard.
The field was very quiet so the children were able to be children and had a fabulous time running around and were able to make some friends easily. We were next to some long grass/meadow area and they had great fun playing hide and seek in there and ladybug hunting. We did find there were quite a few wasps about though.
Only 5 min max drive to lovely nearby beach in Anderby Creek and 20min drive into Skegness.
In summary, for the price we paid (£15 per night with electric for family of 5) it was an all round nice little site that we would return to again.

This is a little hidden oasis, what a fantastic friendly welcoming site. We stayed on the temporary site and extended our stay by an extra night it was that good.
Dogs welcome with lovely long walks from site and the sea only 15/20 mins walk away across lovely open countryside.
Showers and Toilets on site nice and clean and enough to cope with everyone. Plenty of bins for rubbish and recycling on site to.
Pitches nice and flat and mainly shaded with hedges to protect from the wind. Skeggy about 10 min drive. All in all for £10 a night all in(including hook up) this is one of if not the best site we have ever been to and will definitely be visiting again next year. Thumbs up from us.

A lovely site.
Tent pitch area well protected from the elements with hedges.
Toilet block can be a little busy and could maybe do with extending? Still, very clean and close to where we were pitched.
The staff are very friendly and flexible, we were able to stay a further night onto our original booking.
The surrounding area is very pleasant and Ingoldmels is only around 5 minutes away.
Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely lovely site, the most welcoming host. Couldn't do enough for you.
My husband, 10 year old daughter, and myself spent two nights here. Wish it could have been longer.
The fees very good, only £12, and that is with electric hook-up!
The site is kept so clean at all times. Owner approachable 24/7.
Within easy reach of Skegness, and mablethorpe.
Can't wait to go again. Thank you x

Spent 5 nights at this lovely quiet site with my 4 kids. 10 minute walk to the beach, large site with very friendly owner got lots of information from them about things to do & see around the area.
Clean site only a few people on the site as we came before the august bank holiday. Kids enjoyed exploring & playing all over the site.
A couple of showers & toilets very clean as they were swept & mopped everyday by the site owner.
Would return again next year as wonderful place to relax from the bustle of mablethorpe & skegness but close to both towns if needed.

Second visit to this wonderful quiet C.C.C. Certificated site; we were there in the spring and just had to go back.
It's a 10 minute walk across fields and lanes to the completely empty and unspoilt beach at Anderby and perfect for dogs; we never saw anyone on the beach so it was bliss. If you are like us and don't 'do' children it's great too as there is not much for them to do here so they tend to be in nearby Chapel St Leonards, Ingoldmells or Skegness.
There are a couple of shops in the village for bits and bobs (bread, newspaper, tins etc) and we found 2 places to have a pint or two that were dog friendly.
The site itself is grass or hardstanding with 6 or so hook ups and the tariffs are so reasonable, the two loos are the portaloo type but hooked up to the water mains with electric, hot and cold water, soap, paper towels and loo paper.
There is a pot washing area with plenty of hot water and a free fridge / freezer if you need it located next to the one of the 2 self contained shower rooms. All the facilities are immaculate and the owner is an excellent friendly host; she even came to apologise for the weather during our stay! Should really keep this site a secret; oh well the cats out of the bag now! We will definitely be back.
