Wow - what an amazing site. There really was nothing I could fault with it.
On arrival, the first thing that struck us was the view - surrounded by fields and sea views, you really couldnt ask for more.
We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon and there was plenty of choice of pitchs, none of which were far from the amenities blocks. However, when we were packing up on Friday morning, people were queueing for pitches before 10am so you need to get there early for a weekend stay!
After an unsuccessful walk to a nearby fishing village to get some fresh fish for our dinner, we stopped in at the campshop expected to be able to buy the basics for breakfast before finding a supermarket to get our dinner. However, despite being deceptively small, the shop was very well stocked with fresh meat, veg & bread - we bought some lovely steak for a barbeque and were very pleased to find so much local produce. In the morning, lots of fresh pastries and croissants appeared.Yum!
The toilets and shower blocks were clean and spacious, there are freezers for your ice packs and plug sockets to charge things or use hairdryers. Also facilities for washing and drying clothes.
The campsite is ideally placed for visiting the Minack theatre (we walked there and back - just make sure you remember your torch!), Lands End, Sennen & Penzance. We were lucky with the weather and spent a scorching day on the beach at Porthcurno - a beautiful spot and only a short walk from camp.
The only potential problem we hadduring our stay was the wind! Being up on the cliff, the wind whips around the site - our tent is not the hardiest and the tent did bow quite a bit in the gusts!
All in all, it was the perfect spot for camping with helpful staff and all the facilities you could need. If it wasnt so far from Manchester, I'd be back next week!

We first discovered this campsite five years ago when I wanted to stay on a site as close to the end of Cornwall as possible. We’ve been back every year since, usually twice, in June and September. What a truly beautiful place. The toilets are plentiful and always clean, showers are fine (if a little hot, especially with sunburn!) there is a fridge for ice and a washing machine/dryer, as well as power points where you can charge your phone/camera etc. I’ve always felt safe leaving things plugged in there too, it’s a friendly place.
There is also a shop on site where you can buy general items such as bread and meat, as well as postcards and surf boards. If you don’t want to cook breakfast on your camping stove, the café at the bottom of the lane in Treen village is a two minute walk and does a great breakfast roll (and cream teas, pasties and all good things Cornish). Barbecues are permitted. The site is spacious so you can usually have plenty of your own space, particularly since the pitches aren’t marked out. There are plenty of parking facilities and depending on where you camp, you can either have your car by your tent or pitch in the nice areas and leave your car by the fence. The view is amazing, the farmer and everyone who works on site are incredibly friendly and Treen village is idyllic – the Logan Rock Inn does the finest Tribute I’ve ever tasted and has a good selection of local food on its menu. You can also buy fresh produce from the village’s organic dairy farm of which the campsite is a part.
The beautiful Pednvounder beach is a ten minute walk from the campsite and is one of the finest beaches in the country, particularly if you’re fortunate enough to visit at neap tide when the sandbanks are accessible. Be careful though – the tide comes in very quickly and the water is a little chilly to say the least – but great to swim in once you get your shoulders under :) Porthchapel beach to the west is equally stunning and well worth a visit, accessed either by car or by a beautiful 30 minute coastal walk. There are so many breathtaking coastal walks within easy distance of the campsite, as well as the Minack Theatre across the bay in Porthcurno, where you will find yet another beautiful beach.
Visitors in early summer can enjoy the vast, colourful array of wild flowers adorning the cliffs with the heavy scent of honeysuckle hanging sweetly in the air. The famous Logan Rock sits atop Teryn Dinas (Treen Castle), an ancient hill fort that forms the landmark of this beautiful bay and which is great fun to explore – it’s also a rather special picnic spot!
The far west of this Cornish peninsula enjoys its own micro-climate, making it mild and usually hot and sunny throughout the summer months. If you like Cornwall and haven’t been here, make sure it’s on your list the next time you visit. You’ll be back time and time again. I can’t wait for June!

Beautiful site, toilets clean, and owners very friendly. Treen village is very small but lovely, and the closeness of the coastal path and Logans Rock were great for us. We even saw some seals! To book in the sign says go to the village shop, but they now have a small shop on site which is where you need to book in.

We have actually visited this site heaps of times over the last 10 years. It is in a beautiful location. The shop sells basics, nice pub nearby, gorgeous views from the site, lovely (if steep!) walk down the the closest beach. Nice short coastal walk to Porthcurno beach - perfect for moonlight walks back from the Minack Theatre. Facilities are basic but it does not matter as they are clean. It is hard to plan to go here now as we have a family rather than just us and they do not permit bookings - we were prepared to chance it as just a couple in our younger days but not now. However, I think if you could book it would always be full anyway! Definite recommendation

We arrived on spec on a sunday evening and the site was very quiet, although can imagine that it will be exceptionally busy in summer months. we had the most magical three nights camping here. The pitch was level and the facilities were basic but very clean and a good drying room/shower. The owners were very friendly as were fellow campers, and their small reception hut was well-stocked with local produce. This place is fantastic for walks. Within five minutes we were watching basking sharks off Logans Rock, and the beaches are wonderful with clear blue seas and amazing rock formations. Go there when it isn't holidays and you won't be disappointed! Do go to the Logan Rock Inn, a short walk from the site (take a torch). It is extremely friendly, and the owners are lovely. The Cornish Rattler and HSD went down very easily in this place. We wouldn't recommend breakfast in the cafe though. With all that local produce, it was disappointing to be served mass-produced "value" sausages and rubbery microwaved scrambled eggs! Apart from that, a perfect location, and the Minack Theatre is a must if you are staying here.

Possibly my favourite campsite - the setting is magical. It is for people who like very basic camping with not too many facilities and who don't mind being (literally!) on the edge of things - and who have the energy to clamber / scramble down to the amazing beach below. Not that I'm trying to put you off - although I would like to keep this site all to myself!

A really well organised site, very clean loos and showers. However a very large dead rat near the bins was a bit off putting!. Fantastic views, and level camping fields after a bumpy rough, narrow track. The top field is considerably windier than the bottom field. Handmade Pizza van comes on a Friday night which is great. It would be good to have some more information about the booking- in system if you are new to the site. Saturdays in particular seem to be very busy changeover days and it feels a bit like a lottery as to whether you get in or not.

Simple, clean, friendly and basic - if that is how you like your campsites, this one ticks all the boxes. The location does more than that though - it makes you have to go back again and again, year after year. Some people have been coming here since the 80s and once you've been, you'll know why. The beach is beautiful, although the climb is not for the faint hearted, especially if you have little kids and an elderly dog. But well worth the trek once you're there - low tide makes a kind of lagoon without waves which is just what children getting used to the sea need. Not great for body boarding though - for this you need to drive to Sennen Cove or if you have a dog, the next beach along - Gwynver. Treen village is lovely, great pub (try the Cornish Cream, like Guiness but less bitter) and opposite is a dairy which sells organic unpasteurised Guernsey milk and free range eggs. The shop/cafe (run by campsite owners) sells all the basics, including gaz. Updated shower block opened while we were there but we were perfectly happy with the 25p 5 min showers (and freezer to keep your food in) of the old block. Unfortunately you can't book in advance, and the campsite is very popular so it is best to arrive early if you want to get a pitch. Very early.

Good campsite on level field, fairly basic but clean. Tariff for tents is a bit long-winded and can work out expensive for a group sharing one tent. On the other hand small numbers per tent work out relatively cheap. Showers are coin operated. A fairly steep 15 minute walk will take you to one of the nicest beaches I have ever seen in England. Treen itself is a small pretty village with cosy traditional pub. Recommended as long as you can live without plush facilities.

Our favourite campsite ever. Been here so many times over the past 15 years. Peace, quiet, simplicity. Lighthouse beams and lights of boats on the horizon.
Basic but clean and adequate facilities. Very narrow uneven lane on the approach. Field is pretty flat.
However, now that we are forced to holiday in the school holidays the owners' (understandable) refusal to take bookings means that we shall have to reluctantly give it a miss. Driving 8 hours to a campsite that may well be full - with precious few alternatives nearby - is not something I'm prepared to undertake!
