Well what a nice site. Right near the sea, great cliff paths to walk along. Nice walk in the surrounding woods. Great to mtb along the coastal path. But not for the un fit or young children due to cliff face. Great for dog walking.
The site was full on our stay at Easter. But we still felt we had enough space on our pitch. Everyone camping were very friendly.
The pub was very good. A good selection of drinks, Stella or carling would of been better. But they had tennants and cider. Staff very friendly and happy to help. Bingo and live music after. My be a music channel etc on before bingo for kids to dance, would have been better.
Nice games room. Nice restaurant, we tried the breakfast which was pretty good.
Good play park. Not much for young children, but they where erecting swings etc for them. A couple of goal posts would not go a miss.
The wash rooms were very good and clean. There was some issues with power at some times during our stay. Electricians were called in. But it never affected us. But some campers were getting angry!
Great value site, only costing us £20 a night including everything. Not like most sites extra for peak times, awning, children, electric and dogs etc.
OVERALL A GREAT CAMPSITE WOULD GO AGAIN!

This site has a lot to offer everyone. Enjoyed it so much will be re-booking for 2013, and would highly recommend site. Absolutely loved it. First class toilets kept spotlessly clean. Site has very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing is a bother to them. There is also very child friendly playpark where the children can play safely.
Check out surrounding areas too ( St Andrews, St Monans, Crail) all worth a visit have no doubt you would return

Pros.
What a lovely caravan park to stay at with my three children.
Plenty of space to run around and the Robinson Crusoe Ship just topped it off nicely.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The bar has good entertainment on in the evening.
Good fish and chip shop.
Fantastic view's of the beach.
Very clean shower/wet rooms (very impressed)
Conns.
Road down to the park is full of potholes and some are huge! Not a very good first impression to the holiday.
Onsite shop very expensive with not a lot to choose from, having small children was a nightmare due to the cheap tatty toys sold at extortionate prices.
Needs another Shower block as Only One isn't enough for size of park.

Visited this site over August bank holiday. The site is really nice with lots of attractions for young and old. My one complaint is the toilet/showers.
There was only one toilet/shower block for the whole campsite which was completely inadequate. The shower area was used as toilets with the result they were muddy and dirty. It was not made clear that there was separate toilets at the back of the shower area, this would have eased pressure on the shower area.

Mixed feelings about this site, although some decent weather (for a change), helped a lot.
First the positives
Great coastal location - proximity of beach.
Good modern toilet block.
Kids loved the play park -
Good facilities games room and bar area
But the negatives:
Our pitch D27 very uneven, huge holes in awning area
Pitches much too close together, with very little space.
Access road which is quite long needs some attention as very bumpy with some huge pot holes. Suspect this part of the road may not be fully owned by campsite
Not enough water points and the grey waste had to be emptied in the chemical disposal, which also had a foot high wall surrounding - meaning waste had to be lifted over.
As mentioned by others, some form of mop required for wet room type shower rooms, as these are used as toilets as well, wet floor gets really dirty from outdoor shoe.
We probably would go back if we new the weather was going to be good, as this would either make or break for us

Great campsite ! toilets & showers very clean although a mop would be good to dry shower floor. Shop/club & takeaway a bonus. Great for young kids good playpark.
Shell bay was lovely our dogs loved it. Sign post on main road to site would be good as it is really difficult to find, no signs in Elie either !
Will definitely return to this campsite lovely location ! Good fishing off the cliffs surrounding shell bay.

This was our first time at Elie and we had a great time. We didn't actually leave the site except for some groceries.
Kids had a great time at the park and made loads of friends. The entertainment was good although could have been more for kids and there wasn't much for my lot in the arcade.
The toilets and showers were really clean although the floor got wet so access to a mop would have been useful.
Wasn't aware if there was baby changing or not. It wasn't clear?
We will be back and strongly recommend Else.

Lovely Family site, lots to do Play park is great the bairns loved it, also enjoyed going to the beach playing in the rock pools.
Toilet blocks are nice and clean and really warm only thing I can fault is there needs to be a wee edge or even a mop available in showers as the whole floor gets soaking wet. We enjoyed our stay so much we tried to book again but it was fully booked
I Highly recommend this site

This site was recommended by a friend, so I thought I would give it a go for the Jubilee Weekend.
The site is really nice, a great little kids play park which doens't have a lot in it, but I couldn't tear my kids away (6 & 9 years old).
There is a bar with some bingo and entertainment at night, which was okay. The bar is quite nice and reasonably priced.
The pitches are a wee bit stony for tents as I was on the tourer pitches to get electric hook up. The site has a good layout, with tents in the middle and plenty of green space to play. It also has direct access to the beach and the Fife Coastal Path with the Elie Chain Walk 10mins walk away. It is also dog friendly, which is great for me.
The shower and toilet facilities were good relative to other sites I've visited. Separate individual showers to the toilets are unisex which is handy when you have the kids. The water is hot and there is a cleaning area just in front of the block for dishes.
There is also a great little shop which sells both essentials and other things to make life easier.
The site was quiet at night whilst I was there. It's a good distance away from the main road and is well situated for visiting some of the Fife Coastal villages including Elie and Anstruther. St Andrews is also a short drive away.
There are many shops and a supermarket in Leven to stock up for your stay. There is also a nice swimming pool in Leven which isn't too far away.
I'm looking forward to going back in August, and my kids can't wait.

Our Family have just returned from a weekend at this site. Overall the site was very good with excellent facilities. The new play park was great for the kids as was the beach. The area around the site is very nice, with many interesting walks including the nearby Elie Chain Walk, Scotlands Via Ferrata. We walked right into Elie which has a few small shops and cafes. The toilet facilities were excellent as were the showers, which are individual shower rooms, the problem here was any hooks that had been on the walls or doors were missing all the shower rooms I saw had one hook, so no where to put your clothes and towel, also a small plastic stool would have been useful, such as the type at Caravan Club sites. Minor additions would so much enhance the shower rooms. The touring pitches were small with Caravans quite close together and the hard standings were rough and some uneven, but the ground was dry as it was mostly sand based. The long private drive in to the site is very rough and very pot holed. The Restaurant/Bar and shop looked excellent although we did not use these facilities. I would go back to this site.
