We booked for six nights but stayed for 10 as we loved the area so much. The staff were happy for us to continue our stay on a day by day basis which was brilliant. The site was quiet for our stay with only usually about eight tents at one time.
The site is basic but that was why we choose it. The site is really just one field but pitches are wide apart and all are against a hedge. The grass was a bit long and the ground uneven in places but the sea views make up for that. The site is windy and we had to cook inside our tent most of the time.
The toilet block was always clean and the shower is excellent. The facilities may not be enough at busy times but we rarely had to queue. There is a small shop on site but we mainly used the nearby town of Helston.
The area is lovely for coastal walks. We also visited the Minack Theatre and Goonhilly.
We would love to go back to the campsite and I would highly recommended the site for a quiet and easy going holiday.

I cannot rate this campsite highly enough from the warm and fantastic owners to the very warm showers, beautiful views, short walk to the beach, sitting at night with chimneas (£1 a night hire) Very reasonable prices for 5 people 2 dogs, 2 cars and a large khyam 8 berth tent £15 per night. As I said the owners are very friendly and helpful, very laid back only around if you need them. Fantastic little shop at the top of the field that sells the necessaries if you run short. Shall be back again. We had the unfortunate circumstances of my Husbands appendix deciding to burst while we were away and jo and Andrew were there straight away to help in ever yway they could

Well, its ok. I guess being the only unit on the entire field did not help, felt slightly spooky but that's not the owners fault! They still came down to open the reception and were helpful and friendly
Toilets and showers were clean and basic though, I'm not small and found it very difficult to wash myself as the enclosure is rather small. Would not want to be there when at full capacity as I don't think they would cope very well.
I like to walk everywhere when I go away and the lack of a village meant no local shops within a reasonable walking distance.
The closest beach was lovely and it has a dog area which our Lolly loved.
Wonderful views if you get a pitch at the top of the field and fairly level at the top too. Not so good for the extreme winds encountered 3 days into trip.
Overall for £12 per night it was ok, owners did pop down to make sure we were ok after gales and if we needed anything.

Went here for one night and ended up staying for 4. We loved it here. A simple campsite - a big field with a sea view, £10 a night or £15 for a large pitch in August. Friendly and laid back owners, a good friendly atmosphere and loads of space for the kids to play. Facilities are basic, but the toilets and showers are clean enough. Doing the washing up under a cold tap was the only hardship. Great situation near the Lizard and Cadgewith is a lovely village. Visit Gunwalloe beach and also pop up to Helford, great pub called the Shipwrights arms. Take the ferry to Helford Passage and visit the other pub, the Old Ferry Inn for lunch, decent food and a great view.

What a wonderful campsite! Fab views over the sea, hot,hot showers. Cute little shed that opens for a couple of hours every day selling, fresh bread, cornish butter, and bits and bobs. The site is run by a lovely family, who will help you with anything. We had pitch 3 and it was a standard pitch. It was plenty big enough for a 6 berth Avondale and awning and it had ehu.All this for only £12! All our neighbours and including us have already booked for most of next August. So sorry folks! lol The loos are in a little cabin to one side of the meadow. 2 loos each and a shower. It can get a bit busy in the morning, but it never bothered us as we used our own shower. Next year they are hoping to add washers etc, but basically keep it like it is. Which in our opinion is PERFECT! There is a little laybay on the left side as you head to Helston, its only a couple of miles from the site and there is an Honesty Stall that sells home-made jams.We bought LOADS! You must go to Annes Pasty Shop in Lizard for pasties, they are the best in Cornwall. Also there is a chip shop at Lizard that opens 4.30 - 8.00. This campsite will now be a regular spot for the people that have been already, (it only opened in July) Our kids have made loads of friends and so have we. Infact when we set off home, there were lots of tears from everyone as kids were being split from their new friends and parents who have had the perfect holiday. Addresses have been swapped and photos taken and we will stay intouch with everyone until we can go back next year for the whole of August! Perfect holiday. In a perfect place!

It's the first campsite you'll see as you enter Kuggar and as we went for the wettest week in Cornish history at the start of the summer hols and still had a nice time. The owner Andrew and his family were very friendly and helpful. This was the campsite's first year and there are plans for laundry facilities in the future (which we could have done with considering the wet weather and mud, but there are ones on neighbouring campsites). The toilets were well cleaned and the showers were lovely and hot. Although there were only 2 which could be a problem during buisy times. There were supplies of essentials like bread, milk, bacon, sausages etc in the reception which ran on an honesty system when unmannned. There are loads of things to do nearby, even when it's wet (including nat trust). A walk over the coastal path to Cadgwith (a picture postcard fishing village) and and lunch at the pub and a day on the beach at Kynance cove are a must. Overall it was good value at £10/night/tent there was so much to do and see that we only scratched the surface in a wet week where we were forced to go and explore. In summary I'd definitely go back (once the weather has bightened up and the ground dried out).
