Basic site. Toilet clean but no decent light. No place to wash pots. No showers. The kids loved the play area. Did not use a electrical hook up but noticed only one unit with may be 4 outlets on and right on the edge of the site so take a very, very, very long extention lead. Not a big site may be big enough to take 8 units dependant on size,(we have a vango diablo 600) no marked spots. In the middle of nowhere but suspect a good walking area across the road. The road is not busy but cars fly down it try not to pitch by the road side of the site as you can't half hear the cars flying along at night.

We have just visited this site for a weekend, there are grass pitches and hard standings, some of the pitches are slightly sloping and it can be quite difficult to get level, also you may need 2 electric leads to reach the ehu bollard from certain pitches. There are ladies and gents toilets but not very clean and the light was not working in the gents, the water from the tap had a funny taste to it, so went and brought bottled water for drinking. There is a play area for the kids and a beer garden to watch them with a pint, food is available in the pub but we didnt try it because they were not serving on the saturday night. There is a little road noise but not to bad, site is ideal for dogs plenty of walking just over the road. If you want a country pub location with good tv signal and cheapish site fees this is the one for you.

Excellent site owners.
Julie and George are very helpful and pleasant. They have a lovely Country public house offering Good Beers and Excellent Restaurant food ( please try Julie's Beer Battered fish meal ) its succulent and delicious. All the meals are cooked fresh and they try to source and buy their products locally.
In the winter time and those colder Spring/Summer/Autumn nights you will always find a roaring open fire, warming and welcoming you to The Horse and Jockey.
There is a play area for children under 12yrs.
The owner has hens ( their own eggs ) and 2 rabbits near to the outside seating area.
During opening times there are Skittles, a pool table and on a sunday there is a Quiz night.
There are plenty of hook ups, clean WC,
CDP ( obtain key from owner ) Hard standing and grassy areas, some with a shelter feel to them.
Caravan pitch £10 per night,2008.
There is plenty of room for manoeuvre whether a single or twin axle motor.
The gate is shut at midnight for security.
There are many by-ways for walkers, cyclists and for children to safely stroll along these tracks and observe the wild flowers, trees and if quiet enough they should see the small animals, wild rabbits and squirrels etc, who live in and around the area.
Shopping/takeaways/fuel/swimming pool can be found in nearby Atherstone who have plenty of small shops, takeaways and supermarkets.
Jacksons of Old Arley is approx 5 miles away and are handy for all your caravan/tenting needs.
We had a brilliant stay here, ( Twin axle/awning, 3 adults, 1 child 14yrs, 4 nights ) and will be staying again.
