A lovely little site on a working farm. Good value at £15 for hardstanding, elec. And free Wifi.
Shower and toilet, spotlessly clean.
Nice 15 min walk to the beach. Bamburgh Castle viewed from the site, lit up at night is a treat.
A great, 'get away from it all' site, simple and quiet.
We'll definitely be back.

Phoned on the day to make a booking for 2 nights, the owners weren't there when we arrived but had left our pitch details for us.
Basic site, with 1 shower & toilet but only 9 pitches so not busy and we didn't have to queue. Water point and chemical disposal but no 'grey waste' emptying point. We didn't realise this and used the drain at the entrance to the site and were told by the owner that we shouldn't be using it, asked for where the correct drain was and was told that they didn't have one. Rather surprising as all other sites that we have visited have had this facility.
The site itself was peaceful and around an hours walk over the fields and along the beach to Seahouses.

Love Bamburgh and as this site is within walking distance it's ideal. Have visited this site a few times over the last couple of years. It is on a working farm so can be a little mucky underfoot but the view of bamburgh castle from our van more than makes up for that. Facilities are basic but adequate, owners are very friendly. Plenty of between units too so never feel hemmed in perfect site for us!

This was a return trip to Fowberry Farm for us, having stayed for the first time in Sept 2012. Nothing much has changed apart from a stronger Wi-Fi signal [free access after gaining the code from the notice board] and the fact that the CDP & waste water dumping area now has some fencing around it. The shower [50p for approx. 10 minutes] & the toilet are just as before- in the farmhouse lobby - but that is fine.
The attraction for us was still the closeness of the Northumberland coastline. As other have stated, the walk to the beach is directly from the farm on a recognised footpath and only takes 15 minutes at most before you have access to miles & miles of wide sandy beaches plus the views of the Farne Islands & Bamburgh Castle. We did visit The Castle Inn in Bamburgh and were able to sit in the beer garden at the rear with our dog. Fish & chips at The Neptune in Seahouses were the best for a good while.
By leaving site you can access more super beaches like the section at Embleton that also gives views to Dunstanburgh Castle.
If you can look past the “commercial” element [4 more pitches] to what is supposed to be a 5 pitch CL, all is fine. The current nightly rates [2015] are graduated from £14 during low season to £18 during the summer months. Just about right we think.

Lovely little site; Owners very friendly and helpful; facilities are fine- 50p for a shower-which are spacious; clean with plenty of hot water.
Free wifi is a bonus
Great views from the site to Bamburgh Castle and you can just see the top of the inner Farne lighthouse the other way.
Nice walk into Seahouses along the the St Oswalds Way LDP or the other way to Bamburgh; There is also a couple of paths down to the beach at Greenhill and Monks House- down one and back up the other gives a nice round trip of about 2 miles.

Cut grass and hardstanding. Water tap just outside entrance (no problem). Toilet and 50p shower good. Adequate welcome - name and pitch on door notice. Long narrow track to farm from road. Beautiful view of Bamburgh Castle from site. Chemical toilet disposal point and rubbish ok. 2 mile cycle into Seahouses (for Farne Island boat trip and fish and chips from Pinnacles). No parking for motorhome in Seahouses but can park by sand dunes on seafront. Nice harbour in Seahouses and supermarket and pubs. Drive to Lindisfarne - check tide times for crossing over - good parking for motorhome on island. Charged £18 per night - I know it was August but seemed to be a bit much for a certified location!

My family & I stayed for one night in a motorhome coming back from our tour around Scotland during the Easter holidays. What a great idyllic location over looking Bamburgh Castle. Having experienced a number of different caravan parks over the years we found this one to be basic & in a very quiet location but for only £14 including electric & free wi-fi you can't go wrong! (wi-fi signal was poor) The site is very small & is located on a working farm. The one toilet & one shower was clean & the shower had plenty of hot water. (shower cost 50p for ten minutes by using a coin machine) A recommended site, one which we would return to in the future.

We have just spent 6 nights at this site. Be sure to follow their directions in via Bamburgh and follow the departure and arrival guides for times as the site is down a single lane with few passing places.
I would recommend pitch 1 or 2 as they have the best views of the castle. At night it is stunning all lit up.
It is a 5 pitch CL however I'm not sure how but they have a commercial part too which has another 3 or 4 pitches. The site was full almost every night but to be honest we didn't feel cramped.
There was very little farm activity as in previous reviews and there were no farm animals roaming freely.
The site is basically in the front garden of the farmhouse and outbuildings.
The shower and toilet is in a large porch attached to the farmhouse and their front door is in this porch. There is tourist info in there too. I have to say at £14 a night I was reluctant to pay 50p a shower as for the 2 of us its another £2 a day. The shower lasts at least 10 minutes. I don't understand why sites feel they need to have these extra charges. I wouldn't mind if the facilities were worth it but to be honest they aren't. The shower itself was hot and powerful enough but the room itself as with the toilet, needs some TLC to make it more comfortable and appealing.
The water tap for topping up your van is outside the farm entrance but to be honest we were pitched the furthest away but it didn't pose any problems for us.
Having wifi was great and tv signal was good too. We didn't feel cut off at all even though you are pretty remote out there.
There are public footpaths directly from the site to the beach so an ideal place for dog walks. The beaches are fantastic.
I would recommend the site but my only real criticism is the shower/toilet facilities.

The good
The location of the site is its best feature. There are great views of the castle which looks lovely when it is lit up in the evening. A footpath leads directly from the site into Bamburgh and the walk is about 15 minutes. There are other paths from the lane so the options for walkers are really good. There is free wi fi which is handy to keep up to date with weather forecasts, local eateries etc.
The bad
There is only one shower and one toilet, both of which are in a pretty desperate state. The shower is 50p a go, although its fair to say it was hot. On more than one occasion there wasn't any toilet paper in the loo. I had thought the days of walking across the site with your toilet roll under your arm were over - not here. Is it too much trouble to leave a few spares?
The pitches are directly in front of the farm house and barns so there's some coming and going of non camper traffic. The running of the site seems to have been handed over to the owners daughter, who we found to be one of the more non communicative young people. Beyond telling us which pitch we were on and where the facilities were I don't think she spoke. Luckily we'd been before so knew about the footpath to Bamburgh already.
The ugly
Disgraceful incident on the Friday night involving speeding out of the site with a young man on the bonnet of her car, and ultimately the police arriving and taking him away in handcuffs. We came here for some peace and quiet and it felt more like we were in an episode of Starsky and Hutch!

We stayed here for 5 nights in mid September 2012 and the site was full [5 on the CL & 4 on the “commercial” site]. The attraction for us was the closeness of the Northumberland coastline to let our dog have a free run on the wide sandy beaches and the superb views of Bamburgh castle [available from some of the pitches, but not ours, unfortunately!].
As others have stated, you will need to time your arrival/departure correctly due to the long single track road down to the site. We were greeted by the owner who informed us of where everything was etc.
Whilst the site is fairly compact for 9 hardstanding pitches, we didn’t feel overlooked or crowded in at all. You do have to track across grass to get to them hardstanding areas though. Probably not an issue in the summer/autumn, but it maybe in the depth of winter as the site is open all year. To be fair, the grass was being kept short and looked to drain quite easily. The hardstandings were also “reinforced” with a plastic mesh.
The comments about the toilet & showers being in a “porch” are a bit misleading as it is really a glazed link between the house & the utility room and was fine. We had visions of a dank, dark place but this was far from that. The shower was 50p for 10 minutes but that was plenty long enough and we found the controls quite straight forward providing that you follow the directions on the entrance door. There are also tourist information leaflets & suggested walks located in the link area.
The site has free Wi-Fi and you just need the code to be able to access it and this is located on the notice board in the link area. The pitches closer to the farmhouse get the best reception we are told.
The recent comment about the roaming chicken droppings seems to have been addressed, as the owner was wandering round with a shovel clearing them up on many occasions.
As other have stated, the walk to the coastline is directly from the farm on a recognized footpath and only takes 15 minutes at most before you have access to miles & miles of wide sandy beaches plus the views of the Farne Islands & Bamburgh Castle. We did visit The Castle Inn in Bamburgh and were able to sit in the beer garden at the rear with our dog.
Our one mild criticism of the site would be the location of the main water point which is outside the entrance gate about 5m along the footpath towards the coast. If it were actually positioned inside the site and thus more accessible, it would be better.
Overall we have nothing but praise for the site and don’t know why there has been so much negative comment about it considering that it is a “farm” CL and roaming livestock [& their droppings] are a part of the daily life of a farm.
