Went camping here for a weekend, our first ever camping trip.
Was very windy when we arrived but soon settled and weather was okay. Toilets spotless and have music piped through, didn't use the showers as went to the pool and used them there. Pool was okay, a little small but okay to spend an hour. Shop selling lots of things and reception with lots of leaflets on things to do. At night there was a kids disco with PJ the dog, our little girl loved it.
Also an arcade (didn't use) and a soft play gym (wasn't open)
There are a couple of pubs just outside the site. And filey is about a ten min drive, as is bridlington.
Takeaway on site (our neighbours used it both nights and left their bag of rubbish out for the crows to investigate which was annoying but no reflection on the site)

On arrival we were just over a hour earlier than the set 3pm arrival time for statics, and were curtly advised we were early and to come back at 3pm. We were advised we could make use of the facilities whilst waiting, but as we did not have the passes, we could not get into anything
However when we did check in at 3pm, we were met by another lady who was very friendly and quickly checked us in and we made our way to our static.
The static was clean and tidy and of a good size, two bedrooms, with a large kitchen, living and dining area. All the necessities were included, all we had to bring were our towels, bed sheets and t-towels.
There is a shop on-site that was open all day and sold all the essentials and more, and was reasonably priced. They also had a good selection of newspapers and magazines. They sold frozen food, tinned food, games, toys, alcohol, cigarettes and more. If you want more variety, there is a Co Op in Flamborough itself, with a large Tesco and Somerfields in Bridlington.
The site is huge and is dominated with statics, most being owned rather than ones for rent, however the section we were in was quiet and well maintained. Plenty of roads on the site, but never really noticed anyone driving too fast.
There is a large touring and tenting section, but this was not my cup of tea, all pitches were segregated by a low fence and no really feel of freedom. However it was clean, good clean toilets and showers and plenty of bins, water points etc. Part of the touring site was on a hill, so not great if in a tent, and if in a caravan or motorhome, then levelling blocks will be required.
The swimming pool on site has an adult only swim each morning, and then open to all after that. It does shut for lunch. When we went it was fairly quiet and the pool is of an ok size. They restrict the numbers if it is getting too busy. It is £2.35 per session, or you can buy a weekly pass or a family pass.
The bars are ok, normal cheesy holiday park entertainment, but the younger kids that were there were loving it, so good enough. Drinks reasonable price and one bar is adults only after 7pm, so good for that quiet drink.
The usual amusements are on site, and you have to walk past these to get to the bars and swimming pools. There is also a small indoor adventure play area, this is again chargeable.
There is a cashpoint onsite, and this is located in reception. You are charged £1.75 for withdrawing your cash, but it saves the walk or drive into Flamborough to use the one in the Co Op (which was free). However as the cashpoint is located in the reception, if you need money, like we did, out of office hours, you have to leave site. Annoying as this could be resolved by locking the internal doors and leaving the external doors open for people to get their cash.
The onsite chip shop was ok, not the cheapest, but good enough and we ate from there on one night.
There are plenty of open spaces for dog walking, playing football, games etc. Walks from the site are aplenty and you can walk for miles along the cliffs, down to the beaches and into Flamborough. There is a huge fishing lake, with tackle and bait shop, but as I am not a fisherman, I did not use so cannot comment as to the stock levels and likelihood of catching anything.
Flamborough has a chipshop, Chinese, Co Op, chemist, a variety of pubs, goft shops etc. Flamborough Head and lighthouse is walk able, or a short drive and a nice area.
Brid has all the big shops and appeal of a real seaside town. Scarborough, Filey etc are all in the area, but need a car for these. The site does have a bus route through it, and you can get the bus to Brid if you wish.
Overall a good site, but statictastic, and cheesy entertainment. The site is though quiet and security patrol and we heard no late night nose or trouble.
I would go back as we have family in the area and need somewhere to stay that allows dogs.

We visit this site often and although the pitches are terrible for levelling a touring caravan the site is tidy and clean. One downside to the site is the wind which can make erecting awning a challenge. The toilet blocks are very tired and are in need of refurbishment. They are kept clean which is a positive. On the superpitch area tents are allowed this often takes up a space which could be better utilised for a touring caravan. The entertainment is very, very good especially for kids, the drinks prices are reasonable. Their is lots to do on site like swimming, and amusement etc.
Overall for touring, taking into consideration the state of the pitches and showers the price is a little bit too much. On the other hand entertainment is good especially the new team for 2009 who although still learning the ropes are quite funny, looking forward to many more visits and hoping for some improvements with the pitches.

Booked this late on a Friday and just went in the van
When we arrived we checked in and given an easy to follow map to the touring field
The fully served pitches where great and close to the great facilities. The toilets were to a high standard
The take away mega bytes was great and open till midnight Friday and Saturday
The family entertainment and the adult coblers bar both fantastic

Great facilities and a brilliant pitch. Plenty of space and a secluded end spot for my active dog. Plenty to do, a great seaside resort. Fab entertainment and even bingo!
Would definitely go again. Early booking is recommended though.
No fine dining but facilities to buy and cook your own. Wash facilities could do with revitalising but if you have your own, it's not much of a concern.

We spent four days over the August bank holiday here and would definitely return. We booked a superior pitch so we faired better than the people on the standard pitches, which are situated on a hill. Not ideal when it's raining, to say it was muddy is an understatement.
I particularly liked the fenced off pitch, even after pitching our large tent we still had loads of room. The toilets were just opposite and water tap was situated at end of our pitch, which was very handy. The first morning I was surprised at how quiet the site was, given the size. Unfortunately after that day some new arrivals caused quite a bit of noise, the last night until 2.30am, not brilliant when you have a baby! Still, that sort of thing can happen on any site.
There's plenty for the children to do, indoor swimming pool, playground, amusements and a 'wacky warehouse' type play area for younger children. The camp shop I found to be quite reasonable and well stocked, but if you don't want to pay camp shop prices there is a Somerfield supermarket about 5 minutes drive away. There's a couple of bars on site providing evening entertainment, one that allows children and one that is over 18's only. There's also a cafe that doubles into a takeaway on an evening that serves very good food, and also a fish and chip shop. A must for anybody who is goes to Flamborough is a meal at Molly's Diner, the food was amazing as was the customer service, we had Sunday lunch (beef that was reared on their own farm) for 7 people plus drinks cost £57!
Just a short walk down the road is a pub and further down is North Landing beach, which is the most accessible beach. You can also walk to Thornwick Bay through the campsite, but is quite a climb down to the beaches. Not ideal for very small children.

Having read the reviews we booked for 4 nights. Upon arriving we were given a pitch number and drove to the camping area. What none of the reviews state is that the camping area is 1/2 a mile from the main complex.
The weather had been bad the previous weekend so we expected less than perfect conditions, but the conditions we encountered were unacceptable. There had been no attempt to tidy the large trench marks left by vehicles that had become stuck in the mud. The large wheelie bins were overflowing and must have been for some time as there were only around a dozen tents left on site. Whilst we were there other people arrived and then drove off straight away.
I think it needs making clear that campers on this site are tucked away in the farthest corner of this large site.
All in all the whole site looked very tired and run down.

I have just returned from this campsite. Where it was my very first time camping and more so putting up a tent. I went with my sister and 5 children.
I cant praise the site enough. Me and my children loved it. The pitch was ample size. The toilet blocks were cleaned regular and lit up very well. My only complaint was that there was 1 electric socket. But that's me been picky.
However It worked out cheaper to travel into Bridlington to go to the swimming pool than pay the supplement for the on site pool, which due to the bad weather was full and in my opinion unsafe.
I cant wait to return again next year, when hopefully the weather will be as good as the site itself.
Well worth the trip out there.

Myself and my husband have just returned from a weeks stay here with our 2 year old. I would highly recommend this site.
We booked a superior electric pitch, after emailing the site asking if a standard would be ok for the size of our tent - a vango diablo xp 600. A few days into our holiday another tent of the same size and design arrived that had booked a standard electric pitch. The other tent fitted in quite snuggly bit I was pleased of the extra room for our toddler to run around on the superior pitch.
The whole site was immaculately clean. We were placed on pitch 179 and would recommend the position. Not too far to walk to the shower block if you had to go in the middle of the night, but yet far enough away.
The toilet block was so clean. The only thing I would comment on was that there was only 3 showers in the block that was next to us. Luckily the site wasnt busy, and no matter what time of the morning I went for a shower, there was never anyone there. I wouldnt like to think what the queues would be like in the height of the season.
The location for getting up and down the coast couldnt have been better. We were 3 miles north of Bridlington and just 5 miles south of Filey. Scarborough was only a 20-25 minute drive away as well.
We visited Playdale with our toddler - a working farm, where he fed the goats, lambs and sheep. There was also a huge great big indoor play area for kids to climb up and down. Would recommend a visit to this, especially if it is raining.
We have enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed at this campsite form mayday bank holiday it was quite busy but didn't seem packed as it was so big. The toilets were very clean and the showers were powerful and hot. The onsite chippy was good so was the takeaway. The pitches are of a good size and they have a fence separating you from next door which is a good idea. There is some lovely cliff top walks around Flamborough head. We walked from north landing to south landing only stopping at the pub on the way. We had a very enjoyable weekend and we will be returning very soon.
