Hi I was recommended Llwyn Ffynnon by an Old school friend who lives a short walk from this site.
The site is really lovely and quiet. The owners take a lot of pride in this small site and it shows.
Their welcome was second to none, we choose our own pitch which offered shade for the dogs and sun for ourselves. The dogs were fascinated by the free roaming hens and would sit watching them, I expect a good chase and eating them was their preference, Of course neither occurred as on their leads they are very well behaved.
The site was fairly quiet whilst we were there being end of season. We had fantastic weather, and toured all around the area. The Beaches are beautiful as is the whole of this area. Plenty to do and see, although, we were only on a weekend break we will return to stay longer and explore the area in more detail.
I got to see my old school friend which made our stay all the more enjoyable.

Lovely place, went late on in the season so was lovely and quiet with improvements and work going on. Will be returning in the future to see it completed.
In a lovely area where you can easily get to the town, beach etc.
Tried to do a spot of fishing but wasn't the best weather to get many bites!
Lovely helpful family run place. Can't wait to come back

This was our first ever camping holiday with the kids. Well what can we say. This site has caused me so many troubled nights of sleep because we now know we cant go to any other camp site.
We had an amazing time here. The service, friendly approach, the relaxed feel to the whole experience from start to finish was unmatched in all our previous holidays abroad and at home. And I should know as I am in the service industry.
We arrived and straight away the owners made us feel at home showing us all around the site helping us pick a suitable site and advising us on camp site etiquette as it was our first time.
The owner even came around and advised us on how to put up the tent. ( from the chair with beer in hand. LOL. )
We enjoyed our time here so much we stayed an extra night and did not want to go home.
We cant wait to get back next year and try out our new tent maybe even late autumn.
See you then.

This was our second visit to this beautiful campsite and it did not disappoint, what a lovely place to stay. From the moment we arrived with a warm welcome from the owners we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. We camped in a lovely spot close to the lake, and our three young children had a ball. The site is so friendly and safe the children can wander around making new friends they are never far from sight. All the campers are so relaxed this is the atmosphere the owners strive to create from the moment you arrive. As a family run business you can feel the love they have for this place and the pride they take in maintaining it, the facilities are excellent and kept in such clean condition, the lawns are well maintained by the owner who is always on hand with a big smile on his face if you need anything at all. There is a great food van on site this year which wasn't there on our 1st visit and it is a great addition for those times when you don't feel like cooking, the food is lovely ( best chips my mum has ever tasted!) and good value for money.
If you want to explore the surrounding area there are local beaches within a few minutes drive, Pwllheli is a short drive and full of shops, bars and restaurants along with a multitude of other attractions to keep you and your family occupied. Personally we were quite happy to spend our evenings on camp having a lovely fire and chatting with the other campers. A truly wonderful holiday and we will be returning again very soon.

A most fantastic site and friendly welcome!
The parents in law had the lodge and with another 3 tents, 2 mobiles and a campervan we were given all the ground around the lodge so it was like our own mini campsite (probably best to contain all us rabble anyway!) The site is lovely and clean and toilets/showers maintained to a high standard. The water in the showers is hot (if you catch it at the right time).
The site is superbly located for getting to all the different local beaches.

I found this site while browsing for a last minute holiday, the reviews were all positive so I took a punt, and I am extremely glad I did. All the reviews I had read were true to form and my experience was even above this expectation. From contacting the site to book, through to waving a regrettable goodbye to return home the customer service and experience was second to none. We are a family of six, two adults, three boys (11, 13 and 16) and a 18 month boxer dog. The site is very spacious and ample room is given around each pitch, electric hook-up available for each pitch and a water tap never further than 30ft. The washroom facilities are excellent and cleaned very regularly throughout the day to a high standard, you get a real sense of personal pride and care taken throughout the site. There is a food van on site, fantastic for when you just don't feel like cooking, the food is a very high standard at and good value for money, with five mouths to feed that was important to us and we used these facilities on several occasions. The chips are amazing and the 'Beast' burger made from Welsh black beef is highly recommended. Fire pits are available for £1 a night or you can bring your own, they do get popular at that price. Dogs are more than welcome, this is shown by the rarity of not charging additionally for this. There is a fully stocked lake on site, I didn't catch anything personally but a few more hardcore fishermen did while we were there. The very free roaming chickens do provide excellent free-range eggs that taste spectacular. There are several seasonal pitches on site and this has created a close community feel on site, all the season holders and owners made us and every visitor feel very welcome from arrival to departure. The owner team were amazing, always on hand to answer questions or just for a chat. Chris welcomed us in and was always visible around site with a big smile even when his workload was clearly very challenging, he alway seemed even happier when bobbing up and down on his tractor delivering fire pits and logs to burn. Tox was also always available, always around the site ensuring everyone was enjoying themselves and asking if she or the team could do anything else for them. The owners were again always on hand to help, she cooks the best chips at the van, he however, does a mean bacon and egg sandwich - perfect for the morning after the many enjoyable nights. Off site the is a Londis store 1/2 a mile down the road with reasonable prices and a cashpoint that does not charge to withdraw cash. A post office and petrol station are here too. Further afield, Pwllheli is the local town and is less than five miles away. There is an ASDA here, many small high street stores and a market every Wednesday and Sunday. There is also a lovely beach, made mainly of shingle but still with plenty of sand. The western side of the beach is dog friendly with over 3 miles of coastline for dogs to run free. No dogs are allowed on the Eastern side, not even on a lead. We found several dog friendly beaches around the area, most quite stony, but the northern beaches do tend to be more sandy. For the kids Glasfryn Parc is about 3 miles away and offer Archery, Quad Bikes, Wakeboarding, Go Carting and many other facilities including a cafe and farm shop.
There is so much to do around the area for all the family and the site owners really make you feel like part of the family from the very beginning. We had originally booked for 4 nights, and even though they had a full site booked at the weekend, they saw how much we were enjoying ourselves and really didn't want to leave they went out of their way to make it possible for us to stay over the weekend, we were enjoying it so much we extended our stay even further and have only returned now due to work commitments, so our stay eventually ended up at 10 nights. We made many very good friends and had many amazing evenings, some that will never be forgotten. This site has really created some amazing memories for me and my family and we cannot wait to return later this year and again next season.

Have just returned from a 4 night stay at this most fantastic site. We have never visited this part of Wales before and the site is perfectly situated to explore the peninsula. Having read the previous reviews, we were determined to stay on the site and were not disappointed! Despite this being one of their busiest periods, we were made to feel completely welcome and at home. The site is very well maintained with spotless facilities and first class customer service, but above all else, has a wonderful laid back charm which is promoted by the owners who are always around to assist.
A ten minute drive in any direction takes you to the most breathtaking views and beautiful beaches or you can just relax on the site and take advantage of the informality and friendliness of the other campers. There is a well stocked shop in the village nearby and numerous larger supermarkets in Pwhelli which is a short drive away. We loved the site and were so sorry to leave. Good luck with the Fun Day on Saturday and fingers crossed that you can make room for us again soon.

First time out in our new to us but very old caravan, chose this site because of previous comments about helpful owners and fellow campers. We couldn't have been more delighted with the facilities and particularly with the help from owner with siting our van! Site facilities excellent, everything clean and well maintained. Not being a big burger fan, was absolutely delighted to see the on site, family run van, advertising local lobster Same ordered and delivered with a gorgeous salad, for a recession busting £12. 50! Will be visiting again as soon as possible. Well done all for providing a brilliant run site, no rip off prices, no added extras to the price, £20 max per unit, including hook up, fishing, showers etc. 10/10

Arrived on a Sunday lunchtime, met on our way in by Chris, site owner who parked us up and then walked us around the site so we could choose where we wanted to pitch. Really pleasant welcome and made to feel relaxed from the start. Chose a quiet corner as we had friends and family joining us over the next few days. We were also shown where all facilities were on our walk through the park.
With well kept grounds, many areas being shielded by carefully planted foliage, Llwyn Ffynnon is a fabulous site which gave us everything we needed for a perfect relaxing, chilled break away.
There is a small lake for fishing which my partner enjoyed for a couple of evenings, although not very successful in catching anything, found it relaxing with a can of beer.
In our small group were 3 caravans and 1 tent and this was not an issue at all, we were all able to camp next to each other.
Local amenities include a londis 2 mins away, and supermarkets, take away, chemist -all you could need in Pwllhelli all within 4 miles.
Several pitches are pitched with seasonal tourers, but there is plenty of room for short stay vans and tents.
Electric hookup and water taps available at very regular intervals throughout the site.
Overall a brilliant site, excellent facilities, great staff and owners who couldn't be more helpful, so much so, we have booked another week for August!

Stayed here over the spring bank holiday and had a great 9 days. On arrival the owner showed us around the site before letting us pick the spot we wanted.
He called round every day to check everything was ok. To say the site has a friendly feel is a gross understatement and our 6 year old was very unhappy when it was time to leave.
The site is well located for exploring the peninsular, from the small coves on the west coast to walking up Snowdon.
The site is kept to a very high standard and the fishing pond is a lovely way to spent a couple of hours in the evening (even though I didn't catch).
All in all the owners friendliness and hard work take this from being a good site to being an excellent site which I would highly recommend.
