Although my experience of campsites are limited I have to say I thought it was of an extremely good standard. Washroom facilities were new looking and clean. There is only 1 shower and loo but they are separate and given it is a small campsite this was acceptable and never caused us any hassle. There were 4 caravans, a trailer tent and two tents, and this is as much as the owner allows. The location is excellent. Our children loved the woods its attached to. There is a soft play area not too far away, very good and cheap. And there are many other attractions close by not to mention Cromer and Sandringham of course. I don't know if there are any shops nearby, we didn't see any, but we loved the location. It was a bit cold for our first experience of camping but if all campsites were like this I would definitely go again. Highly recommended.

Wow what a little gem! A part of me wants to rave about it and another part wants to keep it a secret!
Small out of the way basic campsite in the norfolk countryside on the edge of a wood on which campers are allowed to wander in. Has electric hook up if required (in a tent and didn`t use). Facilities are a small wooden hut style toilet with small sink and next to that a walk in wet room style power shower. Very clean and well kept for a minimal style site. No streetlights or lighting on site, so torches and lanterns are a must. The chap that runs it is great and nothing is too much trouble. He does have a spare fire pit if you need one and for wood pick your own! (i took mine as it had been raining). Lots of footpaths, quiet roads to walk on. Met a group of teens doing their D of E. Very peaceful and quiet. Very dark at night! there is a badgers set closeby and usual woodland wildlife (deer, owls etc). Beautiful location for a hideaway. Pitches level and chemical disposal, ashes bin, etc on site.

The site was very peaceful, situated in a clearing in the wood. It was very nice to see the birds and hear the owls at night. The trees formed a canopy over the site so it wouldn't, do for sun worshippers but we didn't, t mind at all. The owner was very helpful even lending us a ladder to make a repair to our aerial on the roof of the motorhome. He kept the toilet and shower spotless. Even though this was a basic rural site that was fine. It was clean and water was on hand and everything else. If we were in this area again we would definitely use this site again.

Fantastic Site, it was great to get up in the morning and walk the dogs in the woods that were just outside my door. Toilets/ Showers are clean and modern (the toilet could get busy on a morning when the site was full, this was not a massive issue).
Owner was friendly and helpful and really knowledgeable about things to do in the area. Area is beautiful, with friendly locals and many good places to eat. The Artisan Bakery and award winning butchers at Aylsham a short drive away are well worth a visit.

We stumbled across this site on UKCampsite.co.uk and having read the reviews we thought we'd give it a go. 1 word to describe the site. Heavenly. The farmer who runs the site is an absolute star, nothing was too much trouble for him. The single shower & Toilet was kept spotless all weekend, and the toilet rolls and hand soap were always plentiful. If peace and quiet is your thing this is the place for you. We were lucky enough to be staying with only other adults on site ( Children are not our Favorite camping buddies ) The local village shop was a pleasant mile walk and well stocked. And Mundesley was a quaint Olde English seaside treat. There are a couple of nice pubs within a 2 mile walk, but we never used them, as the weather was so nice, we chose to site around our firepit enjoying the silence.

My daughter chose this delightful little site which is for camping and caravan club members only. Good choice! It nestles at the edge of a wood on the outskirts of Trunch and is run by the Farmer who owns the site. It has room for five vans and tents when space available. As with all of the certified sites the facilities are basic i. E one toilet and one shower room which is lovely and spacious and has instant hot water. Plenty of hooks too which is great. EHU and drinking water is available for both vans and tents and grey waste water can disposed of down drainage installed in the camping area and there is a facility for chemical disposal. A recycling policy is in place. A dog walk is available through the woods. For tents there are no pot wash facilities so its back to basics boiling your own hot water and washing up at your tent. Don't forget your washing up bowl! It is lovely and quiet and there are some lovely walks which can be taken from the site. The seaside places close by are Mundersley and Cromer. There are lots of country houses (mostly NT) within driving distance. You are also within driving distance of the broads at Wroxham and we hired a day boat one day. We didn't, but if you fancy a bit of city life Norwich is close by and Great Yarmouth approx 25 miles away. The village has a local store selling local produce and is open 7am to 7pm. They were very friendly and helpful when I went to enquire about the local walks. There is a pub also but he didn't seem very friendly and locked up shortly after serving us drinks even though he had another 8 hours of opening time left! Fresh eggs can be purchased from a house opposite the methodist church but you will need to go early as we found they had sold out by mid morning. For the kids (big and small) Bewildered is great, even I (as a grandma) was able to participate in a spot of tree climbing and the slides are very popular with all ages! North Walsham is a small town close by and contains a supermarket and banks. Cromer has a supermarket and the usual seaside shops without feeling tacky. Crabbing off the pier is popular. There is also Sherringham and lots of wildlife reserves including Pensthorpe which is a former Springwatch venue. Sandringham House is also close by. If you want to get out and explore the area and the kids enjoy being outside and making their own entertainment then this is a great place and in my view, worth all my membership money this year. Notes for caravans:- There are no hardstandings. There is no direct connection to the drains. It is approached by some small country lanes. We loved it and will return. Shhhhh please don't tell too many people!

What an amazing site. Picturesque woodland and a great (provided) fire pit! we even stayed an extra night, owner was friendly and gave us tons of advise about the local area and the toilets were kept very clean and site also had a power shower. Was a bit worried about our new large tent which really was not an issue as the pitch size's there are great, plenty of EHU's. Close to Cromer, Norwich and Great Yarmouth so plenty to keep the family busy! cant wait to book again!

Great Site, owner very nice man, communication was excellent. Arrived on site 3 other units there and could pitch anywhere I liked. Pitches are large, well kept - plenty of room, one toilet and one shower- both spotless, lots of hot water. Site is very secluded and about a mile from the village shop and pub, locals seemed friendly in the pub and beer was fine did not eat there, did not use shop. If you are looking for a camping site that provides everything so you do not need a brain then don't go here, being basic makes it a great site, it has all that some of us want, water, shower and a loo!, EHU is available for those that want it, T Mobile phone signal was fine did not have a TV so cant comment, these excellent sites are in short supply. Would use again without any worries. I have not marked child friendless as was alone, if your kids want to make their own natural entertainment then OK if not then don't go there.
